Good morning it's now uh second day of This trip we are now at the supercharger In Carl Carlton kitchen I think that's What it's called and Um I've done all the tests around here And now we're gonna head for Berlin so Yeah it's just a busy one actually not That busy I see me busy supercharger And you see we are here So yesterday we were around here I've Driven a bit up and down the stretch Here doing some tests during the night And in the early morning hours and then The plan is to drop what What the heck What happened with the Wait huh okay I'm just going to a Resting area on there and then Why do you have to drive this route Huh Easy to avoid Style Well I had to check with Google which Route to take but okay I think next stop Is going to be Wittenberg super daughter And then we just keep driving here and Then we end up there that's the hotel And then tomorrow we're going to do the The 1000 kilometer with the bus so that Would be interesting But yeah okay so I charge the car I took A little nap I shot the car to well okay It's actually easy to see here to 99 12 Kilowatt now So yeah I think I'll uh start driving
[Music] Foreign [Music] Man I'm just enjoying the nice German landscape oh okay he detected That I was coming in fast from behind so He canceled the lane change yeah I've Seen lots of that in Germany especially Germans they are really good at uh using The mirrors So yeah now we have driven past zombie There's typically just Five kilometers where I can Unleash the Power Maybe not even five kilometers then we Get stuck behind traffic or we have Speed limits and intersections where Yeah with B limits so um Yeah and then now we have traffic let me See oh it's 9 25 in the morning So I try to start early today so I can Avoid some holiday traffic and campers But I'm not sure if this stretch here is A very busy stretch or not for uh Tourists to travel I guess there is Right yeah look at the speed here boom I have so much power now when I drive More normal Yeah I On the car the battery gets time to Recover or or yeah so to prepare for the Next launch but I I rarely use full Power because it's almost uh Uncomfortable if you just push it hard
But actually it's a very good feeling You get pushed Back in your seat Even when you are cruising at 200 Kilometers per hour it's just unreal how Powerful this Beast is Yeah okay um and then unfortunately this Car looks a little bit modest so uh People they don't move away uh yeah like This Kia in front he just decides to Camp all the way now to Berlin And this is also what I usually have to Deal with that people don't move over Yeah finally I can do this all day I don't have to worry about energy usage Because I have free supercharging So yeah okay um Wait not too much wind around here yeah I think this is one of the stretches Where you can actually go fast And restricted for a while Oh look at that Nice landscape I love the the wind Turbines Is this guy guy going to camp Yeah seems like it well actually no okay Good Oh man let's just go Seems like V-Max for this normal mode is 200 60 kilometers per hour Seems like you have to go in the track Mode in order to go faster but I just Don't feel like it uh
This is I mean 260 kilometers per hour It's already fast enough for me for the Normal cruising I'll probably just go Around I don't know maybe 200 . it feels almost like Some of the roads here they feel a Little bit cramped to be honest and also Tesla doesn't seem to be tuned for that High speed when it comes to noise so it Becomes quite loud in here see okay at Around 200 yeah that's fine right the Noise is still bearable yeah also Especially when we have lots of cars on The right lane then I don't feel like Going 260 because some people they just Don't pay attention So you can say yeah it's I'm right and they are wrong but if we Have a crush then does it matter who's Right who's wrong no So um but also I was also wondering hey Should I hammer it because I might not Have enough juice to go to the next Charger but no no you don't have to Worry because there's just too much Traffic and too much power Stella so the Times that you can Hammer usually just Hammer it and enjoy Deutschland yeah Oh come on [Applause] I'm not hurrying anywhere I I have to be There by tonight not too late let's say I had to be in Berlin by seven

While we are ramping up getting almost 250 kilowatts Oh yeah So hmm Uh I could probably stay here for let's Say 45 minutes or longer there is a Dining place over there Um but um wait I also feel like having Some Doing a kebab if you go to Berlin you Have to get Kebab you know some people Say that cable was invented over there Well you know what okay I have an idea It's still early in the morning 10 so I Can have some lunch over here and then Maybe tonight I can have Kebab in Berlin How about that and also mandatory to Have A curry boost right It's been a while since I came here last Time so um but I think even last time They have added the V3 supercharger you See some of these are V2 so if you're New to the Tesla world in the old days The old Teslas they use this type 2 For charging for DC charging but also Type 2 for AC charging But then model 3 and model y the UCS and You can also get CCS that oh this one is Semicabut but this one this tall is only 150 kilowatt this is V2 and then these Ones are V3 it's only ccs See like this and then we have water Cool cable that's why these ones they
They are thinner than the other ones So uh yeah There was a It was a toilet a portable toilet here a While ago I remember I came up with Wifey that was many years ago man and Then since then they have a Lego Wow you See Um hyper Chargers they're getting more And more common Over there we also have some Chargers So I've been traveling through Germany and Also through rest of Europe and I've Seen the development that for the past 10 years 10 years ago There was almost nothing but now they Get more and more charges not only for Tesla but also other charges plus that Many of the Tesla chargers they are open For other cars so Man driving EV in 2023 on even on long Trips is no problem as long as you have The right car but uh you know 10 10 or 7 Years ago it was pretty much just Tesla That could go across Europe uh Comfortably but today I'd say that at Least 60 to 80 percent of the cars on the Market they can go long trips without Too much hustle okay maybe my 10 year Old leave doesn't fit doesn't do it but At least all the other cars they can do It just fine
So I have this cheap sun shade Actually in the old days I use also These for a million Falcon but I Actually had it in the in the basement For the longest time so I brought it Back because it will keep camera Equipment cool and also it will require Less cooling power when they need to Yeah keep climate on but actually right Now the battery is somewhat uh Yeah it's somewhat hot so if I run HVAC Now you will actually replicate the Battery not just not crazy but slightly So even Tesla doesn't have a powerful Enough cooling to run everything you see That is 26 degrees outside So yeah I think we what what I've been Digging around too long we have 36 Percent already we have enough juice to Go to Berlin I could reach Berlin with Well mine is one percent right really Wait we'll try again here this is the Hotel We recalculate yeah I could barely make It there but uh I want my lunch break Now All right I decided to go for curry Boost so uh yeah we have now Eaten Jag schnitzel and then Curry West So we just had to run through the Checklist of food we must eat in Deutschland And then the car is already at 70 Percent

In a few years, the vast majority of new cars sold in the United States will be electric. EVs offer a number of advantages, including lower fuel costs, fewer emissions, and less maintenance. Their initial higher cost can be offset by government and utility incentives, and by energy savings.
Electric vehicles are usually cheaper to operate than comparable gasoline-powered models, and can be even more economical if used for short trips. Several companies offer recharging stations that enable drivers to charge their EVs while driving or while parking. These can be purchased for home use or rented at public locations such as airports.
The Cadillac Lyriq SUV, Ford F-150 Lightning pickup, and Rivian’s R1T SUV have been designed to send power back to the grid, a feature called “regenerative braking.” When an EV’s battery is depleted, its motor will slow down. Then, the vehicle’s drive system can accelerate again to replenish its range.
Many government agencies, including the United States, have introduced incentives to promote EV ownership. These can include rebates that offset the higher purchase price, a reduction or elimination of sales taxes, and reduced parking rates.
Almost all modern electric vehicles can be driven on DC power from a charging station or plugged in at home to receive AC power from the household wiring. In the future, more EVs will be able to draw energy directly from the power grid as they’re parked.
