Yo what's up we are now sitting in a BMV I7 X drive 60 first edition in Thailand And in this video I'm going to show you Guys the headlights all right let's get Over here So um You know normally when I test BMV High-end cars they have laser light but VMware has actually ditched the laser Lights and has gone for Led And wow look at that Whoa Holy macaroni these are bright Headlights and we also have some Matrix Stuff going on so you can see that it Blacks out oncoming traffic and then Fires it up again But um yeah you will also maybe read Somewhere that it has some Crystal Lights but the crystal lights they are Just for decoration is the DRL part the Top part Has actually SWAT whatever it's again uh Swarovski Crystal I think that was gone I was like I heard about that name but But you know I'm not into fashion but Yeah it's well known uh Austrian Chris Crystal And I guess jewelry also so uh yes this One has the Crystal Light but just for The LED I mean just for decoration but What matters is that the lower part is The LED so I need to hammer that Fossil yeah bye-bye oh this car is so
Smooth oh man I have never driven anything as smooth As this i7 in Thailand until I try the Mercedes eqs in Thailand I will borrow It in about two weeks but today is about This i7 so how good are the headlights Well okay let me see we're gonna enter Some dark sides again Here because I have set the headlights On auto But uh wait wait when does it come on Okay that was kind of late all right all Right uh but you will notice something If I do this I'm in spoken by the way you see that They don't turn So they are kind of I'm not sure what to Say they're gonna they're fixed they Don't rotate or turn in the curves So that's a slight bummer because the Pole star lights will turn Uh and also the the other Um Laser light I tried from BMV they also Turned the curves but for some reason And this this one doesn't but uh I Noticed that this one is the first Edition in Thailand and for example it's Missing the the automatic door opening Mechanism like like model X style you Can you can actually hold down the a Button on the key fob and it opens up All the four doors and then you hold it Down and it closes
Uh motorized doors I guess and also um It's missing that that Lounge style seat In the back So um I'm wondering maybe it doesn't Wrote it yeah maybe there are different Variants of the of the these headlights So at least I show you guys to these Ones so maybe the European version has Rotating lights but you will notice that We have some stationary Lights by the Side of the road this is very typical Time oh there's a dog Very typical to have these stationary Lights by the road at night and the car System is kind of full by that and I Think it's a car another car oncoming Car and you'll see that it will actually Yeah it will turn off the lights or Maybe there's enough stationer light for It to Detect it as street light you see and it Has nothing to do with that I have to Drive faster because once the system Fires on I can show you that I can drive Fairly slow And they will still have high beam on So um and another thing uh I test is That if I drive slower the cone does not Change okay now eventually it will get Thrown off uh hyping but okay if I touch Slower Or faster The light cone is the same okay now here We have a lid area so we might as well
Just pass through it kind of quickly in The eqs okay yeah I should show you that When the street lights are on then the Car turns off the auto hype I mean the High beam so I think it was in Germany You are not allowed to use high beam With read lights But okay so What I'm saying what I'm saying is that The Equus has actually a dynamic cone so When you are driving slower it will Shine wider and then when you go the Faster you go the more concentrated the Light corners and the more yeah so you You then reach further out and it makes More sense to adapt the lights according To your speed So um eventually I will test the eqs Also in Thailand the same stretch here And we can see the differences but let Me see okay there's also going to be Another Dark Side soon So what I really like about this uh new LED lights not not lace anymore maybe a BMV I figured out that led technology is Good enough so they they don't need the Laser stuff but I'll show you now okay Here we come to the dark side all right Wait wait for it to fire up There okay so even though they are not Uh turning they they have Matrix going On and they shine really really wide and Bright like I've never seen any Headlights like this like I almost feel
Like we have land bar that's how damn Powerful these headlights are like Um compared to eqs for example okay eqs Might have some cool smart features but From what I remember I I actually had to Re-watch the E-class video uh yesterday The eqs does not shine this wide and This strong and this high up the bush Here number the trees really so this is The advantage of the BMV lights versus Egress and also same for pole star too I Mean they are adaptive they have Matrix Stuff actually pixel lights but they Don't shine nearly as wide and strong so This is the strongest advantage of the I7 lights But uh let me see Um I should try to demonstrate we don't Have too many cars here this uh it's a Little bit okay it's 46 minutes past Midnight and we are in a little bit Outside the Chiang Dao so it's kind of Yeah uh very far away from Bangkok like Like 750 kilometers away from Bangkok so Uh what I'm saying is that there is not Much traffic around here at night so What I should do is try to demonstrate The Matrix stuff because Um okay we'll see if we can find some But I can tell you that it has somewhat Low resolution so versus it's Competitive which is the Mercedes eqs Then the eqs has pixel lights a really High resolution you can you can the
Equus can block out several boxes and And it will then just you can even see Like a black box that follows the Vehicle in front or even oncoming Vehicle but here once it blacks out uh Other cars they're like this one this One the prime example okay see uh it Blocks out one part there okay fine But it kind of needs to block out of Relatively big part because it seems Like it has not that many elements So um yeah okay even though they are Really really strong I feel like Maybe the tech device of it it's not That great Yeah wait what what it's blinking wait Usually when he blinks like that it Could be because there's an unfal or These headlights they turn off kind of Late because I also feel like they turn Off a little bit late So um yeah but that's actually all I can Show you guys because I have very Limited the distance I can drive this BMV Um I can only drive it around 500 600 Kilometers this press car unfortunately So I had to prioritize doing a range Test a couple of days ago and now I have To do this this headlight test so Actually Um now I'm going to turn around and then I will shoot the video in Thai on the Return so I guess you could watch the
Thai version I mean you won't understand Jack the one I'm saying but you Will at least be able to see The reverse now and see how that one is So yeah I'm gonna stop here And that will be it and then eventually I will test also in Norway and then we Will also see maybe the the Norwegian or The European one which might hopefully Not be some kind of semi-strip done First It is Well I wouldn't say it's Ripped down but maybe not fully loaded This first edition so hopefully I will Get a fully loaded the i7 in Norway and We can test again and see how it is but If I want to rate these headlights I'd Say it's really top top notch it it Shines literally in its strength and in The white wine I can show you here by The way if I fire up wait what is it This one Um if I fire up yeah like it it has that Strength Were you Zone Auto now okay it has a Strength and it has the whiteness that I Have never ever seen in other headlights So um even though it might not have Pixel technology or it doesn't turn I Still consider this one of the best Headlights out there because by the end Of the day you also need the light to Shine wide and and bright and that's why Where this one really is good at So I think that's going to be it for now
I hope you guys enjoyed this video as Always thank you for watching and talk To you later
How to Make Electric City Vehicles More Affordable

How to Make Electric City Vehicles More Affordable
Electric city vehicles (EVs) are a critical component of the path to carbon neutrality. They have significant advantages over gas-powered cars, including lower environmental impact, convenience, and the ability to fill up at home. However, they do have some drawbacks, and their widespread adoption will depend on the availability of charging infrastructure.
For a full day of driving, an electric vehicle will need to be plugged in for about four hours. This means that the cost of charging will be similar to gasoline for a non-EV. That said, there are several ways to make your EV more affordable.
Some cities offer free parking for EVs. Others require that vehicles be recharged at public charging stations. These costs may be offset by a grant or exemption from certain taxes.
While electric vehicles have a lower ecological footprint than internal combustion cousins, their energy consumption can increase dramatically when traveling at high speeds. A study by the U.S. Department of Energy estimates that increased electrification could boost the national demand for electricity by 38% by 2050.
The range of an EV is also important. It determines whether the vehicle can complete a daily commute. An EV with a long range can travel more than 300 miles on a single charge.
An EV with a standard range can cover about 80 miles on a single charge. However, an available all-wheel-drive system will lower the range to 274 miles.
An EV’s efficiency depends on the type of battery, as well as how the car is driven. Most EVs have a combined efficiency of around 30 kWh per 100 miles. Regenerative braking, which recovers kinetic energy from friction braking, can help to return that energy to the electrical grid.
