This video was brought to you by Steinberg a better world planner Mr Green Camp power and Marcus Beale Yo what's up we're now at Circle K in XI And today I'm going to show you guys a Pretty cool concept so um this is a like A semi-mobile charging station with 300 Kilowatt hour battery pack so um you Guys recognize the Chargers these are The cam power chargers see we have two Over there this is CCS I'm charging from It right now yeah we can by the way see Here uh Yeah it is pretty cool interface so I'm Taking 63 kilowatts the other Tesla is Taking 46 kilowatt so that's combined uh 110 kilowatt roughly and let me see what You want to see is behind here 's the goodies look here Uh I'm not sure oh I wonder if this is The filter so we can talk about but okay Um here we have energy storage this is Energy storage over here you see how Many we have one two three four five six Six of them I guess they are 50 kilowatt Hour each then and then here we have the Cam power Charter stock here we have the Control modules I mean the control units And and the power modules so yeah and The way it works is that let me see if I Can find it uh this system can actually Be fed with only 43 kilo as low as 43 Kilowatt from the grid yeah okay they I'm not sure the cables are not exposed

But it means that you know 43 kilowatt Is 63 amp uh three phase 400 volt only And you can actually have high power Charging so these batteries they act as Buffer and they have a wait let me see Here I see some when I see stuff like This still have to look closer Pixie is that the battery Yeah I always say means you can read it There you go 50 kilowatt hour each and 50 kilowatt is the rated output So uh Yeah and then combined they can output 300 kilowatts which is enough to let me See what are these charges branded let Me check here uh 150k okay okay so yeah The cam power I mean it says 150 Kilowatt on each what about this one I Wonder if it's 150 I'm not sure how it Works but yes you you can actually get 300 I think yeah this one has a chadamo Wait is it ah you see here I wonder if This is preparation for a card pavement Oh but yeah so this is pretty cool let Me see there's also some uh now okay This one actually the uh the information Here does not say anything about this Very special charger and I think many People who just walk by or even charge Here they don't notice that this is a a Pretty cool and completely different uh Charging technology And you can see that it actually fits Within a 25 foot

Container and that's the whole point of This is that uh yeah okay let me explain There so I mean what is the point of This because the cost is higher yes it Is higher but uh secretary told me that There are some benefits for example when It comes to permission to build since This is not the temp this is not the This is not a permanent solution it's a Temporal solution then it's easier to Get permission to put it here versus if You have to you know like me I'm Building a DSM you have to request Permission from the municipality and it Could take a long time Actually it could even not be allowed to Have something permanent but something Temporary temporary permanent Could be installed fairly quickly Without too much hassle right and then Other benefits is that it requires Relatively low grid connection you could Like I mentioned you could go as low as 43 kilowatt but I heard uh it came on Circle K said that actually this site Here when it's busy It gets exhausted you can do the math it Takes roughly eight hours to fill up the Buffer but then Within actually within One hour even the the batteries could be Emptied out so but it's just an example You can't feed it with bigger grid Connection of course and then the buffer Feels faster so let's say a more

Practical example if we had this one at Uh at the num School gun or or Mayo Button in no man's land where maybe they Have only 50 kilowatt no let's say let's Say 100 kilo yeah let's say if they have Only 100 kilowatt available there if They put something like this there the Buffer will charge up within three hours And then you can actually Supply let's Say 300 kilowatts during peak hours or During holiday season and then even During holiday season every car like you Guys saw the cars they don't take 150 Kilowatt flat unlike I mean unless there Is like a fat eatron party coming of Course but most likely the load is Different and then average power might Be only 70 kilowatt so this would Actually work in no man's land where if You want to have a 300 kilowatt grid Connection you might have to pay a lot In in extra I don't know Transformer or Whatever you know extra cost and then Also we also have to pay for Peak power So this is actually very good for Shaving off peak power and what that was Again benefits Um yeah but there are actually but lots Of benefits with this and then Another thing is that because okay they Could actually make money of these Batteries like you guys have seen I had An episode in Denmark with uh it was EnV 200 you know vehicle to grid the if they

Enabled this for vehicle the grid they Could use these batteries for frequency Balancing in the Grid or I don't know What else they could do but that means That when they have available capacity Even actually even when they are just in Juice now they could also be doing grid Balancing and also making money and then Pay back for this And was it other benefits um yeah and by The way this this manufacturer uh I Heard it was actually it's actually made In Norway so it's not made by soccer K It's a company that makes them they just Use you know other components like Kim Power and whatever and they put it up Here and It's actually pretty cool you know they Could also use this on events let's say If there's some kind of EV racing event or or something and just By looking at this I would guess that These this this kind of unit here is not Too expensive compared to for example Similar type I've seen it was the Porsche charger at the uh I think it was that one Seems really expensive it's also I mean It's way higher power it looks very nice And fancy it was on a it wasn't a semi Truck or something yeah but this one I Bet is a lot cheaper and it could be a Lifesaver it could actually solve lots Of problems if you want to expand or

Either even you know that what they Could do they they could even for Example on not very busy places in the North of Norway uh most of the time it Doesn't matter right the the charges Over there they are 50 kilowatt they're Kind of slow but it doesn't matter Because they're not much visited and Then cam power Circle K or other chart Point operators Could then during peak season place These containers there in the North and Then we get better uh better uh Experience for Ev drivers and then Circle K or other owners who own these Units they will then get more value for Money and they can then basically this Is this is like a money machine for them So they need to you know utilize them as Much as possible and then one last thing I should mention is that these batteries By the way I asked what kind of Batteries is lfp or something I'm not Sure I didn't look at the info plate There but from what I heard it's not uh It's not lfp and also these are brand New batteries but you know my mind was Thinking hey why don't we use Second-hand Leaf batteries or something Else in here we could we could actually Do that if you know maybe they had a Little bit more space or something we Could use that one and that's that's Pretty cool that

EVS are then charging off second hand Batteries you know so they they're like The the sky is the limit right you can Do so much with this this system uh this Is the first time I visited it's a Yeah it's quite nice it's not too noisy By the way So um yeah uh what the heart an mg Arrived oh okay cool let me see so how Is this one the mg is charging on the CCS let me see now how much is the System outputting okay this one takes 32 Kilowatts I guess the two Teslas here They they started throttling this is 32 We have yeah third out so you see now we Are outputting 100 kilowatt only roughly Yeah and then I guess the buffer is Slowly emptying out and then it uh fills Up during the night something like that So um yeah what else is it to show yeah This is what you guys have seen before It came power so uh I think in this yeah I'm not sure I think this stock should Be able to hand 300 kilowatt I don't Remember how many units or uh stuff like That but yeah so anyway now you guys Have seen it huh what do you guys think Is this good is this the first time You heard about this actually this was On um some kind of Expo earlier I missed It totally missed it but it's actually Better to come here and see it when it's Actually in action and in use and also After a while after Circle K has used it

For more than a decade, Detroit has been the electric vehicle capital of the world. With an aggressive production plan and eye-popping investments, Ford and GM are making it their goal to sell 50% of new vehicles powered by electricity in 2021.

Tesla is leading the way with its electric sedans, SUVs and trucks. The company is building a battery factory in BlueOval City, Tennessee that will create approximately 6,000 jobs and reimagine how the cars are made and batteries are produced. The new plant will be carbon neutral and a key part of a vertically integrated ecosystem that includes a new assembly plant and recycling.

GM Power Manufacturing

GM is also building a battery plant and a new EV-specific substructure at its Rouge complex in Hamtramck, Michigan. The company will build the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Hummer EV pickups at this plant.

Toyota is in the early stages of introducing EVs, but it has been clear that it will not produce a pure electric vehicle as a standalone product. Instead, the automaker will offer a range of vehicles that combine hybrid and electric powertrains with conventional internal combustion engines.

A major challenge for EV adoption is the lack of reliable public charging infrastructure. To address this, a growing number of charging networks are being installed by automakers and community-based partners.

Chargers can be located in a variety of locations, such as workplaces, restaurants and shopping malls. They can also be installed in residential garages or on the exterior of homes.
