This video was brought to you by a Battery planner cam power Marcus Beale Steinberg and Bill componente Yo what's up we are now at El bilmac Again and as usual we have volume here The owner and okay so we are back at the Workshop already yes it's a 10 year old Leave what do you expect no but normally The leaves they should have pretty good Reliability and few issues but okay we Had this TM error showing up on the Screen okay we actually see it now or Will it uh Let me show you here the car is yeah it Seems like the cars oh yeah okay it's it Shows up like this TM system malfunction what the heck is TM anywhere some people say traction Motor is a 12 volt battery there's uh Yeah so we want to find out what is Wrong so Um You see we have uh hooked up a cable on The ubd And then whatever you have this tool Here and you can see from this one you Have something here what is this tool It's called Nissan consult 3 plus So it's um original Nissan diagnostic Tool And what it says that ESD CD switch Okay what is that I think it is related with the Cruise control oh yeah I noticed that

Cruise control was not working Yeah we talked about this and I had some Time to do the homework so From the full description it seems that We have a fault with the cruise control And brake switch As much as I know Leaf has two brake Switches so it can be actually two Separate faults or it can be One fault related to to both issues so We will do some research and We tried to found out what's the problem With your beautiful ocean color leaf With retrofitted interior yeah let's not Forget that we have this Um Yeah a mix of black and white interior So Like you know I I still I don't have a Name for the leaf yet I have to figure Out a suitable name for it yeah I thought it's called the Press car oh press yeah I need to find a Name for yeah all right okay so um now We're gonna check out uh some pedal Stuff Yeah we will take down the Uh panel and we will inspect what's the Status of those Brake pedal switches oh there's Something Uh climate Wait what the heck is this uh seems like There is a CD playing

How do you open this Oh is this standard Leaf stuff yeah What you know there might be viewers out There who doesn't what the heck is this Some people are like what the heck is This thing yeah Is this some kind of weapon Okay maybe I should listen to it uh yeah Someday let's put it back in there it Has a CD player oh my bad You just slide it in wait no Okay at least this one is working Wow okay okay yeah let's back to back to What we're supposed to do Look at the beeping we try to stop the Beeping with a little bit of tape but Okay It doesn't help very much All right brakes which is at the place But maybe they are in the wrong position Right voluma has been diagnosed in this And I think he found the problem already So I think was the twofolds uh looking At the live data scene that uh what is Called AC CD switch is on all the time So we needed to do a little adjustment But one fault to disappear but still Cruise control was not working and then I got the idea on the test drive that Maybe there is some difference between Old and new Airbag or all the control buttons And it shows that was correct I put Installed all the airbag and

And the whole fault codes disappeared no Fault lamps in the dashboard and cruise Control working So now it's just a question do you want To keep The original gray airbag or you want me To move All the buttons to the new airbag Okay let me see we have to look at this One first Okay so this is the old uh I don't know What you call this thing uh they're bad Oh okay airbag plus the buttons right Yes yeah so it looks really well we have To figure out can can you can you move That the pan maybe at least because now It looks like a freaking Frankenstein This car But speaking of that Um So you know I always give the cars some Name like million Falcon Optimus Prime In Thailand it was um MacGyver I have Found the perfect name for this Leaf First of all thinking should I call him Lay for something no we have to call him Frankenstein yeah okay it's Japanese but It needs to be Frankenstein because just Look at the car we we changed the Interior there's some there's some white There there's some black there we have Now this one that one is different in The back you see that we have white or Bright seat belt but Black Sea and we

Might oh yeah yeah So And now this is just minor changes we Have gotten to the car once we start Drilling holes in the battery pack yeah So that's it Frankenstein is born today Okay yeah what do you find out so the Buttons can be removed so it's your Decision will Frankenstein will have a Like a black face Or gray Okay but how so how is it that you Remove so the problem is is it the Interface is this problem I think that There is some slight difference in the Control buttons on the cruise control System so we want to use the old buttons Right or yeah if we have to use all Buttons if we want to keep this black Airbag ah okay maybe you try that one See if it works we can do so Managed to remove the button and the Harness Away from this one so this this is the Button with the cruise control and all The other stuff there Eco button and Then this one is where the airbag is So we're gonna use the new airbag and The new front so maybe it doesn't look Half a bar after all you see here yeah At least that part seems to be quite Similar Okay And then oh yeah so you disconnected the

12 volt before you did this one and okay So now we're moving the buttons the old Buttons over to the new Airbag and let's see if it fits the Interface the the screws were slightly Different Supposed to this is the the new one Oh they went from this is like the six What is this called again Phillips screw or Phillips screw I think Phillips screw that was the Was it the original one this is a new One so it's a tonus and this is Phillips And this is just a regular one so they They made some changes Improvements improvements oh yeah okay But I like the name Frankenstein Frankenstein That's perfect name I think for this car Let's wait and see how it will How it will be after battery upgrade Yeah Foreign Check That there is no more fault codes Related to this issue So Frankenstein can go home Okay So yeah I can also see it here that oh Okay but I have keynote right now but The message should become Okay so it's running some some tests Right now yeah Reading all the

Uh EQ C EQ was called Stephen Hunter All right all green now yes so there was Some error earlier here which one was it Again but it was uh faulty it wasn't Easy EV HP interesting but it was the button Oh there yeah okay but we tried to Silence this okay Yeah so I think it's good oh yeah all Good Well I think we're done now yeah so Voluma you did a great job as usual You were like from now on you are known As the leaf Ninja You have so much experience and Knowledge with not only Leaf but also a Bunch of other EVS Yes But you see yeah it was just a tiny Fault it was actually the problem Occurred because we changed interior Normally you don't do that so yeah so But we figure it out so you see next Step I know maybe in the future I want To try to put a 30 kilowatt hour battery In here because I feel like the this old Battery is not cutting it especially if I move to yes him but that would be a Different project I have to try to get a Secondhand battery But yeah I think Frankenstein will live Through to his name I like it yeah but Also you can see that with the series

Every time I come here you know we see That I show you that electric cars they Can live for a long time as long as you Repair them and maybe also even upgrade Them yeah then you know even this 10 or 10 year old Leaf can get Eternal life yeah I like that idea man Frankenstein can get eternal life Thank you so much again what am I here You're welcome have a good summer yeah Thank you so I think that's going to be It for now I hope you guys enjoyed this Video as always thank you for watching And talk to you later

Electric City Vehicles Cars Power

Electric City Vehicles and Commercial EV Charging Stations

Electric City Vehicles

Cars powered purely by batteries free drivers from dependence on gasoline and help reduce the climate-changing emissions that harm health and hurt communities of color most. Seattle residents are already seeing more fully electric vehicles on our roads, from delivery trucks to the vehicle that carries the mayor. But EVs aren’t only for consumers — they’re also ideal for many businesses, and there are numerous commercial EV charging stations, including several owned by City Light.

When buying an EV, most shoppers are fixated on its EPA-rated range. But it’s worth looking beyond just that number to check an EV’s efficiency: how many miles per hour its battery can wring out of the electricity that powers it. An EV that’s twice as efficient can add miles of range in half the time, which can significantly cut its total cost of ownership.

Ford GM Power Manufacturing

As electric vehicles continue to take hold, the auto industry is making bold commitments to accelerate their adoption and ensure equitable access for all Americans. For example, a coalition led by GreenLatinos and the Hip Hop Caucus is pledging to raise awareness of EVs among low-income residents by engaging thousands of influencers over the next year. The Sierra Club is committing to empower its millions of members and supporters with the resources they need to leverage federal investment in electric cars, trucks, buses, bikeshares and more. And Exelon, the nation’s largest utility serving 10 million customers, is committing to expand its customer-facing tools and resources to help people and companies navigate fleet electrification, assess their savings potential and find the best vehicles for them.
