This video was brought to you by AED Ro Planner cow Marcus B stormberg and B Componente yo what's up uh today we are At Elm do I sound good no we are taking A look at the car that we bought Yesterday with the be to see what kind Of alerts uh coming up now on the Dashboard and uh what's interesting this Messages that uh the car was sending to The customer or uh that the customer can See because this is a service mode that Uh just uh professionals can uh take a Look at them but uh here is the uh Alerts what uh everyday driver can see It so the car was on charge uh since uh Yesterday when we came uh from Oslo uh We parked the car around uh uh 5:00 I Think and Um nobody was moving or touching ing the Car but the car was still sending Messages that pull over safety pull over Safety Uh maximum battery charger uh level Reduced charge level too Low Yeah Um I'm sure we find the hole [Music] Here H So all mud is not so dangerous until it Doesn't come inside the battery uh or Not inside the battery between the Gap In the valves and letting the water
Inside so before we take down the valves We thought we can do the pressure test And try to see if there a leak somewhere And it looks like there is a big leak Because if I close the wall the pressure Goes down Immediately so so far we find The There's L Here lot of Here it was here not visible Anymore the valves looks surprisingly Good just the one in the Front [Music] [Music] Here Now the pressure stays the same Place which indicates there's no Leak yo what's up we are back at elbm And this is going to be the part two of The Tesla Model Sp85 with a broken battery so uh in the Previous episode uh volar on also Richard we went together to pick up this One it's not Mill Falcon Mill Falcon is Over there but it's still a red car 2014 and it has some battery problems uh It wasn't totally bricked but uh we Could drive it but there was a problem That yeah it could come back and then You get stranded again so uh this time We will not have volar here um it's Richard because you've been working on
This car so you know everything about it Now yes so let's start with the the big Thing the battery what was wrong with it Uh on previous episode you saw that uh When we done diagnostic you saw the Module 6 shown um incorrect um voltage Of the module modu cells so when I Opened the battery checked the module 6 It Was electronic Problems uh fixed this one but uh always When we open the battery we checking Each model to make sure that everything Is okay so I found more free models Was getting to to Broke and they fixed everything and uh The problem was of the water like always Water was uh in in in this case what What was dried now but was water inside Before in a long time because you found Some Elves it was with the some strange Things in it uh so CH changed all Umbrellas where can we take a look now So you mention the water uh um I want to See now um yeah so you guys didn't Replace any of the modules no in this Case we were lucky the modules was fine Only electric problems this one this one Is the cause of the problem yeah Electronics and you meant some okay There some something is broken corrosion What is it it's corrosion see if ium is It just one mhm okay see it's easy it's Not so e to to to look
But cuz it's corroded and then it Doesn't work yeah and that's why it Shows incorrect uh incorrect voltage of The Cells so here's the biggest problem when The water comes in the battery and All Electronics starts to corrode so moduel 6 Model 8 9 and model 11 was the same Problem but uh the agnostic sh only six But now it fixed everything so batter is Basically prepared to plug and drive Okay there was also something else here Um this lid here was replaced yeah we Always replaces that it was starting to To rest do you have the other one here How it looks old one and new one here's All oh rust rust Huh okay uh so that could cause moisture To leak Inside Yes because the leaking Starts from the cover of the fuse and The valves under the Battery the the main uh holes where Water comes in so in this case was The Umbrellas because in another side we can See it's not so bad but it just was the Matter of time cuz you see clearly it's Bubbles of the Rust H okay so that's and also you Mentioned the umbrellas under here yeah All umbrellas are Changed Tesla original parts and uh you Have less of them versus yeah because Originally when the battery comes we Have all all umbrellas in this line and
Now it's upgraded and has just two Umbrellas so it's Better and this is also the procedure You do now uh the what you call the Battery reseal yeah re seal uh it's the Same procedure you follow as Tesla would Do it yes on the seal changing the cover And umbrellas and the leak Test uh to check the is there any Leakage or not to just and leak test was Done and it's perfect no leakage do you Have the O umbrella we can compare yeah Okay are these the old ones yeah it's From this Battery is that is that Mold okay So Eventually you get problems with these Uh Valves and they don't work as properly Yeah this one looks like it should look And this this one is and the problem When it Opens right here you can see Wo oh what the heck yeah so it's that Makes water what the he is it water and All dirt that comes in schutz huh yeah Okay wow all right so but this so it Means that this battery now is in top Shape now yes yeah Everything was checked repaired what Needed leaked has done umbrella's Changed everything changed and we are Ready to start yeah okay interesting Because uh some people said oh it's
Risky Business to buy this old Tesla Well you guys seems to have the seem to Have the knowledge of fixing it on the Same level as Tesla can do it also yeah We we fixed many batteries uh So and we still learning each time new Battery New new issues but uh all cars drives so We're working on it and then uh okay and Then what else was uh replaced or fix With that car yeah what we changed we Changed The front brakes it was oh I like it It's like a h oh this is brand new yeah Eventually it will wear out yeah because It was totally rust and the car I think it's out of the U control and we Checked what we need to change to to to Make it more drivable illegal and the Problem was only front brakes and um Steering ends out Roads uh you can see Here like on your star it was the same On the both sides okay so place that oh On this side also on this side also Huh by the way I I noticed something Here a fun fact is that you see this one Okay this P85 it has red brake calipers M Falcon is actually so old that Initially they didn't get the r red red Brake calipers so in M the Falcons Calipers they've been painted only the Front side not the Back then yeah but uh funny thing that
When you get a performance uh break Calipers and it's waited all like you Said on both sides it's better because Uh the brake pipe doesn't get rust ah I See on this one it looks very nice yeah Yeah M Falcon is quite yeah I know is it Rusty or wow so in this case you can Save money if you get uh performance Brakes yeah okay so it means that this One actually what we looking at it's Protected from the rust you can see and The pipes are painted so this brake Caliper here is 9 years old yeah and It's been going around Oslo which means You know in Oslo they salt the roads so You can see in comparison here and what What is this what what are these parts Called or this part of suspension right Yeah yeah this one is they has surface Rust and also over there yeah but here It looks look brand new wow impressive Yeah so paint saves yeah okay let me see So um I think that was it that you guys Didn't replace or fix more of this car Uh yet we didn't found nothing more what About the 12v battery here uh battery is Fine it was just only discharge and we Charged it and it works did you measure The capacity or the on it yeah but I Don't remember exactly the numbers but It's it's good battery okay wellow so You see it wasn't too risky business uh These guys know what they're doing they Know how to fix electric cars yes we're

The first electric vehicles, including the popular Nissan Leaf, were introduced in 2010. They are powered by an electric motor with rechargeable batteries freeing your drive from fossil fuels. Electric cars can be plugged in to charge overnight at home, at work (if your company offers it) or at numerous public charging stations around Seattle and the region, including several owned by City Light.
When regenerative braking is used, the battery gives your car a little recharge every time you hit the brakes, capturing energy that would otherwise be lost. The battery also stores electricity that isn’t immediately needed, so your car can use it later.
EVs have higher power-to-weight ratios than gasoline cars, so they are able to accelerate quickly. Electric locomotives have even higher speeds than diesel engines and are capable of operating on non-electrified railway lines.
Ford’s Blue Oval City project in Stanton, Tennessee, will employ 6000 people and will include a plant to assemble the Lightning electric SUV–which has more than 150,000 reservations–and another for the associated batteries, starting in 2025. It’s expected to produce enough cells for 1.3 million 100-kilowatt-hour packs.
Earthjustice is defending California’s Zero-Emission Vehicle mandate in court, which requires 35% of new cars sold in 2026 to be electric. The ZEV mandate is a key part of our national fight against climate change. Increasing the number of EVs on the road will help reduce carbon emissions, but it’s critical that state regulators plan ahead to ensure the electricity grid can handle them. This will involve reducing demand during peak hours, and building more charging stations to encourage drivers to plug in during off-peak periods.
