Cooled down to uh it was one two uh no It was again I don't remember yesterday But um it has cooled down I think it was 11 degrees here and then it was around One another four or something here so I Have to look at my screen my my Screenshot oh [ __ ] the German in me is Coming out Okay let's check out steering wheel Heater first So uh Uh okay okay It's nice Even heat distribution Well it seems to be some hot spots I'm Not sure but 135 degrees that's that's Hot Made me feel Oh yeah that's nice and warm Oh I'm into something so yeah a little Bit cooler but this is pretty good I'll check the front seat How is the heat distributed okay so we Have stuff in the center But not the side bolsters Yeah I've seen some other cars uh I Think it was BMV and also Tesla they Will also have side bolsters heated And the rear seats Oh okay oh that's weird Uh Wait only for the butt really And then the hot spot there Huh so you only have butt heater not

Back heater Hmm that's kind of poor let me check Something else what about airflow in About okay we have events at the bottom Here at least and then in the center Yeah there So I guess that should be sufficient Well this is where just the way it reads The data I guess but huh He claims that the tires are warm no I Have not driven the car for a long time But let's see Is the charge port heated Or how do we deal with frozen chalkboard With this car hmm Because you know with your check power Limit yeah by the way here it was four Degrees and this was 11 degrees last Night so yes is that cool down but Circular so we can check power output Here 127 kilowatts seems like there's a Slight power limit Normally I can get something uh closer To 170 kilowatt When the battery is warm and I guess Yeah we have 40 44 battery so that's also not optimal But still this is plenty to drive Normally at least and even for some Overtaking So that is very amazing that even if the Battery is that cold Then you still have a decent power is

There is no limp mode no third mode or Whatsoever so that's good Why are we back a truck okay charging up Oh getting 65k wow huh We're charging uh more or less as fast As yesterday even though the battery Cooled down holy macaroni at 44 No coal get here well I guess okay That's like cold here but um if you're Over at 10 we'll be charging way faster So okay and I can show you guys here That in car scanner wait so This one can't be right Um You see we're pulling 65 kilowatt a Heater is off oh I mean that goes into The battery right There must be some battery heating going On here because okay 65 something Kilowatt look here Oh Okay well it's correct then Wait that means that there is no battery Heating going on really no there there Is it 69 kilowatt 70 kilowatts 71 almost wait wait 71 kilowatts and Then let's go back inside the car and Check Yeah you see here [Music] This indicates that there is some Battery heating going on but this is Probably misreported I have to try to Pull another variable out

Okay this one looks better there's a Battery heat the temperature One sensor Or a variable so that one shows 12. yeah That makes more sense But okay okay now it's last start Slowing down a little bit but yeah let Me show you here how's this again if you Look here this one will report what Comes from the charger it has always Been like that for the Korean cars like Kona inero 60 kilowatt and then this is What goes into the battery 56 kilowatt So um yeah many people they just look at This one and they think oh we're getting 60 kilowatt no actually you're only Getting 55 kilowatt and the rest goes Into heating or something else cooling Or whatever And this car has preheating the battery Before arrival at the fast charger oh so If you click here Yeah okay let's go what the heck no I Want to go chayote Okay let's go oh no no okay okay you Have to do it It's kind of clumsy many people might Want to click there set as this door Read the manual View and don't try to do Anything intuitive Oh okay well it says it's insufficient You want to stop at even nine Oh it's kind of far to get there wait What's the range estimated range of 204 Up really now let's try to get it okay

There's one small problem which is that The preheating will run before fast Charging until the battery goes below 20 Below 20 the preheating will not run Which is kind of silly because uh that's When you want to arrive I mean you want To go deep to get the best charging Speed and then it won't preheat uh okay So we have 49 now I mean it goes okay You can see here we're taking 56 Kilowatts so um we don't want to waste Too much time here and the battery is Still too high for any charging yet so I Guess we just start driving Okay let's check now then we have Slightly warmer battery and also higher State of charge and then let's check out The power output Wait maybe I should use sport but Whatever Oh 176 kilowatts oh yeah now we're Cooking Yeah that's it no power gate here yeah Well it's only River Drive so it's not That powerful yeah 175 kilowatt not that Powerful well according to spec is 268 kilowatt uh yeah but this is Probably before and this is right from The battery before and it losses in the System So um well unfortunately I'm not able to Test any winter driving capabilities I Was hoping for more snow but I guess the Temperature is yeah it's zero degrees

Like we can just go straight to ionite So let's see how fast we will be able to Charge there and if the battery will Heat up at all [Music] Foreign [Music] [Music] The battery icon has this thing there I Was like oh ah that is preheating the Battery so we are now 33 kilometers away From my unity and preheating has started We can also see it here that uh you can See there are 27 degrees in the battery Inlet soya battery heater is active it Will heat it up to optimal temperature For the best charging speed oh yeah And then look at the consumption it's Still quite low 140 watt hour per Kilometer on winter condition well it Was dry most of the time but at least Here it starts to get wetter and wetter Now Okay let's get over to ionity and see if We can get 233 kilowatt hour per hour We're now 17 kilometers away from ayonte Georgia and we're down to 21 we're going To check something here so we park here By the road and we turn off hmac and you Can see that the battery temperature has Gone up to 12 to 18 degrees now uh and I Want to see how powerful is the battery Heater okay it seems to be 4.7 kilowatt Uh that's I I guess it's okay ideally it

Should be more like six seven kilowatt But at least it's not as bad as Neo that Puts around three kilowatts so um yeah Let's see then if it stops soon at 20 or Not Oh look at this weather oh okay we're Almost there but wait a minute wait a Minute we have 18 and it's still Preheating oh okay well that's good I Wonder how deep it goes before it stops Preheating okay so now we are just 6.4 Kilometers away but we hit some traffic So this is going to take a while Oh no 17 it stopped preheating huh it's Only 15 to 23 degrees uh that's too cold Right okay we are 2.5 kilometers away uh Let's see what kind of speed we get then Okay we're now at ionity juicing up let Me see look here what we get 16 to 25 Degrees only 60 all right that's good can we at least Get 150 then I don't remember the steps yeah this car Goes in steps depending on the battery Temperature I think ideally you won't Have 25 degrees here 116. oh yeah Wait Wait What that's it [ __ ] I was expecting at least 150. A large number of electric vehicles could be a powerful market for surplus renewable energy production. They would store energy in their batteries during the day and tap into it when demand is high, such as during the evening peak.

In some places, this can create a market for electricity that is less expensive than buying fossil fuels or coal-fired power, and thus reduce carbon emissions. In California, for example, the state’s largest utility, Pacific Gas & Electric, plans to install 7,500 charging stations across its service area as part of a plan to meet the growing demand for electricity.

New York is also a leader in developing charging infrastructure. The city aims to equip 20 percent of all spaces in municipal public parking lots and garages with Level 2 chargers by 2025, increasing to 40 percent by 2030.

The city is also implementing a fast-charging network that includes hubs in municipal public parking lots and garages equipped with up to four DC fast chargers (three 50kW and one 150kW) as well as two Level 2 charging stations.

Electric cars are far more efficient than gasoline-powered vehicles, resulting in lower fuel costs and significantly reduced air pollution. Most also have lower maintenance and repair costs, which can save drivers a lot of money in the long run.

Many cities and counties are offering financial incentives to promote the purchase of EVs. These incentives typically include grants or tax benefits. They can also include the installation of charging stations in public areas and the provision of roadside assistance.
