This video was brought to you by Steinberg a better world planner Mr Green Camp power and Marcus Beale Yo what's up we're now in front of the House on behind me here's the Toyota B-set 4X and you know it's been in the News or in car testers they'll talk About how much buffer this Toyota has Below zero percent so this has the Newest update that opened up I measured Around 2.4 kilowatt hour of that bottom Buffer but there seems to be still a lot Of buffer beneath that one so in this Video we're going to drive it down until The car dies and we will see how many Kilowatt hour is Toyota hiding under Zero percent so yes I prepared the car We have actually finished a trip from YouTube to here today so the battery is Fairly low This is interesting this one shows seven Percent can you see it well I think I Should lower the brightness bit okay see This one shows seven percent But then this one here shows 15 hmm and Also the great thing is that when I Charge the car and it says 100 here then It says only 94 here So is this the true state of charge Versus the displayed chart where Everything is hidden well okay maybe we Get some answers today so I will not Drive all the way to cleaver today I Will just do my N Run Around

It receives or everything outputs 9.4 Amps to the car it reports two kilowatt Okay I'm not sure about 20 degrees Celsius in the cable okay we've been Trying now for two and a half minutes And reported at least sending 85 watt hour into the car So yeah this is pretty cool wait What is that Okay fan noise is coming from here not For the car okay that would be weird but Okay So I wonder you know we are just uh 50 meters away from the fortune charges Over there okay these are I'm not sure I Have to check out if those are 22 Kilowatt or 11 kilowatt but if if there Are 23 feet I can get Um 32 amp from it otherwise I get only 16 amp but it's still 3.7 kilowatt Versus just 2 kilowatts here but what we Ultimately should do is get over to the 50 kilowatt charges over there so you go Way faster but this is going to take a While if we camp over here but I might As well discharge a little bit since I I Charge them be 100 just in case and yeah And then let's check by the way are we Now getting more yeah yeah we're already Getting here you see It was half percent or whatever oh no it Was point eight percent now we are Already past that one percent So uh I guess we'll charge this for a

Car was shutting down so that's good and Also when we charge it do we get enough Energy like if we put a little bit of Energy can we then use yes we can There's no word lock mode or anything Like that so yeah but as we've seen now We have whopping 5.1 kilowatt hour below Zero so that's actually just the same as Nissan audio is that some Japanese thing Huh like a ninja or something but um so You know um this battery is supposed to Be 71 kilowatt a 71.4 kilowatt hour I'm Not sure if that's a gross or net Capacity maybe it's gross capacity but When I did my own test after the update Now I measured Roughly 58 kilowatt hours 57.7 kilowatt Hour of actual energy you're gonna get Out it and also did the charting test And the charting test gave me roughly 10 Charting loss so the numbers from the Charger versus what got into the battery It corresponds versus also there's a Little bit of discharging loss But if you have 58 kilowatt hour until Zero percent another five kilowatt hour Beneath zero that is 63 kilowatt hour What about the remaining uh uh eight Kilowatt hour is there above a top Buffer I'm not sure because when you Charge the car to 100 it actually shows 4.17 volt as the highest cell voltage That is physical to 4.2 right uh unless There's a lot of energy up until 4.2 but

Also when you charge it 100 there's Almost no region I mean there's a little Bit of region but you can feel this way Less region and also there's a button in The car for enabling strong region or They call it the one pedal drive and Then when you have a listing display When the display says roughly 100 or I Think down to around 97 96 then you can Simply not use that one pedal drive Thing it would just say error are not Able to to go into that state so yeah I'm not sure how much is really on the Top buffer here and then what about uh At the bottom is there something else They are hiding that you simply cannot Use at all Uh how big is this battery is viceness But at least a test is a test and it Passes pretty well this Toyota So I think that's going to be it for now Hope you guys enjoyed this video as Always thank you for watching and talk To you later

For example, in New York City, where 80% of the EVs are parked at curbside and many residents are renters, access to home charging is not always an option.

It offers fast acceleration and a range of convenience features, plus up to 10,000 pounds of towing capacity. Its EPA rating of 238 miles is among the highest in its class. BMW entered the US market with its compact i3, which is joined by the exotic i8 sports car. Honda, meanwhile, has a handful of low-cost EVs like the Wink. These vehicles are not suited for highway driving, but they do well in the urban environment and can be plugged in for domestic recharging at night.
