Electric City Vehicles

About Electric City Vehicles

EVs are powered by electricity that can come from a wide variety of sources. The fuel source can be coal, natural gas, nuclear power, wind or solar energy, or a combination. The result is a vehicle that is quieter, smoother and less expensive to operate than gasoline cars.

Some governments offer incentives to promote the use of electric vehicles. These can include offsetting the purchase price of a car or truck, reducing the cost of electricity to charge your car and providing money for charging infrastructure.

Electric vehicle manufacturers are rolling out a new crop of models every year. Several of these models are geared for the urban commute and offer a great way to reduce traffic stress. Some, like the Honda e, have a retro inspired design that is fun and distinctive. Others, such as the Volkswagen ID.3, offer instant acceleration, pin-sharp handling and plenty of storage space — all crammed into a compact body. The newest addition to the list of electric city vehicles is the Rimac Concept One, which offers a stunning 0-60 time of 2.8 seconds.
