This video was brought to you by a Battery planner cam power Marcus Beale Steinberg and Bill componente Yo what's up we're now at ion the doll Circle K doll and behind me here you see Jeep Avenger this is the first electric Jeep and we're gonna do a range test so It's a small and compact car And you know it has the exact same Drivetrain motor and Battery you know Whatever as the Citroen ec4x I tested Recently so we don't have to test the Whole battery wait did it not close oh I Didn't Wait okay there we go now the chalkboard Is closed okay so we don't have to test Everything we just have to test how the Consumption is here so this time I Actually managed to get a car scan up And running so you can see some numbers Here Uh steel charge here seems to be the True standard charge it's 77 the display Says 79 percent Uh we have voltage some amp and stuff uh Battery temperature so here the OBD Port Is where it should be down here like Most other people but that French car The Citron had the OBD port in some Hidden Place suppose you have to dig it Out from somewhere here I don't know man But okay so yeah we will drive the Normal route I'll show you it here okay Let me see oh navigation oh nice if you

That deep bass below maybe 100 Hertz [Music] Um this song is perfect for it because It it goes really deep Yeah Um and also another thing is that when You turn up the volume You will hear some clipping That was that was maximum let me skip a Little bit here Okay Maximum is [Music] So it's almost like when you turn up the Volume uh loud if you want to play loud You will suddenly hear that the the Sound doesn't go much that much louder But it changes in characteristics Because clipping starts occurring in the Base so if I would rate the system Um Maybe I'll give it a I'm not sure maybe A six or seven or something I mean get Some plus points because it sounds nice And clear and it doesn't have any Annoying stuff like that but it just Lacks a little bit in bases on rattling So that was minus and also well Obviously it does not that punch like The high-end system but overall it's Still nice to listen to so maybe I'm Leaning more towards the seven so yeah For like a budget car like this then That's actually pretty good

Of course since the weather is so nice And it's Sunday but let me check Something out oh look at the merch a Little bit all we can do with the merch Oh it even does it better than Tesla oh Shoot this game over for Tesla okay Anyway yeah but it is nice for Sunday Driving I will keep driving Um actually all the way to Roots I want To measure the the distance error so it Was 65 versus 66 kilometer when I did The previous test but um when we go a Longer distance we will then have less Measurement area and also silly man that The car doesn't show you decimals in Distance so yeah but look at that so far So good 157 watt hour per kilometer that Is Um yeah that is that is okay I mean it's Not the lowest we've seen But for a boxy Car I think it's okay the boys will see The sticker than the front there and the Hood that adds lots of credit oh in Street cred oh yeah And then I can show here also the the Temp can you see anything she Yeah the battery temperature is 21 Degrees Celsius And this one doesn't seem to be correct I think we have more than that because I Measure them as much as 51 kilowatt hour Net capacity from 100 to zero after and It losses Well I might as well test what happens

While we're charging the car bugs me That we have low battery uh Why Okay anyway yeah okay Fills up quickly at least yeah five Percent okay 100 kilowatts battery is at 27 degrees Celsius All right so we just have to add here we See here the distance we drive an extra Distance we just have to another what The heck why are you bugging me about Low battery uh okay whatever Wow we're back on the road now so I Charged you around 20 so that should be Plenty to get back to door and uh yeah So Uh it seems like we drove around 500 Meter extra so I'll just take that and Come with a calculator distance And then yeah because I was driving at 91 for the longest time now instead of 92 I then over compensate a little bit By going to 95 now towards Dental I Think that should be good enough yeah I Mean not every test is perfect anyway Right Are we done with the test 147 watt hour Per kilometer wow and then the distance Okay and we can say the distance should Have been 182.5 so this car I calculated On the report by around one percent All right I'm topping up but I owned it Out before I go home well you see okay The car doesn't show me any charging

Screen no charging information Whatsoever is that the minus but Whatever we have a car scanner here you Can see that um Are we taking 96 kilowatt at well it's Uh yeah it's actually 24 and you see 23 There so that one's corresponds now so Yeah pretty good charting speed for a Small battery at least All right so compared to the ec4x that Has the same drivetrain but a different Shape then of course uh this Avenger is Less efficient And yeah but that also means that the Range is a bit lower but still I guess Okay I'm not sure what I'm should say About this uh I mean it's still in the Category of affordable cars with uh not The best range but I will actually not Do one thousand kilometer challenge but I can estimate it based on the ec4x time And then calculate that this car might Consume around 40 kilowatt hour more or 40 watt hour per kilometer more and then That will be around 35 minutes extra Charting time so according to my Calculation it's going to be 11 hours And 15 minutes so it's quite accurate Based on so many other tests now I mean I can do the test of course I can drive This Avenger 1000 kilometers but most Likely it's going to be a little bit Past 11 hours so yeah Um I think that's gonna be it no 1 000

Kilometer challenge unfortunately but I Feel like as long as we have the same Drive chain you know the same battery The same charging curve as other cars And also similar size then taking yet Another 1 000 kilometer challenge might Be a bit overkillished spend time doing Something else instead you know but yeah So that's going to be it for now I hope You guys enjoy this video as always Thank you for watching and talk to you Later

About Electric City Vehicles Cars Power

Electric vehicles (EVs) use electric motors powered by rechargeable batteries freeing them from dependence on fossil fuels. EVs can be charged at home with the same type of 120-volt outlets used to charge cell phones and laptops (called Level 1 charging), or a more powerful 240-volt charger can be installed in your garage, allowing you to charge your vehicle up to 80 percent of its capacity in about 30 minutes.

The city’s EV plan aims to dramatically increase the number of chargers and install them in public spaces such as sidewalk corners, parking lots, and garages. It also calls for expanding the city-operated fast-charging network to 80 stations with over 80 plugs each, and equipping 20 percent of spaces in public parking garages and lots with Level 2 chargers.

EVs are also designed to reduce their environmental impact. Unlike gasoline cars, which emit a variety of harmful pollutants including carbon, hydrocarbons and particulates, EVs produce no exhaust emissions.

And because they are more efficient than conventional cars, EVs can achieve a greater range on a single charge. In addition, regenerative braking captures energy normally lost during braking and returns it to the battery to add to the car’s range.
