This video was brought to you by a Battery planner cam power Marcus Beale Steinberg and Bill componente Yo what's up we're now at the cleavage At night and behind me here you see Kia Ev6 GT so in this video I'm going to try Something here that I've done with some Cars before which is to do a launch test For relaxation test but I will do it at 90 80 to 70 and so on down to 10 because This car has some limitation yes okay According to this spec it's 585 Horsepower but there are several Conditions that need to be met in order To get those 585 horsepower so we will See how long we can get that superpower And then when it fades off and then what Happens then with the acceleration time And so on so yeah right now we are just Parked here I will plug in soon Um yeah oh man look at those fat brakes Yeah all right um so let me show you Guys some stuff here And this car has this Battery Optimizer Thing I'm not sure what the heck is Called Um but yeah when you press this button It will heat up or cool down the battery Based on the battery temperature so see Right in battery Care Now shows 5.6 Kilowatt Um you can only run this if you're not Plugged in you can run it while you're Charging inside you can run it while you

Are driving or when you're parked like Now so right now you see here oh this is A bit weird by the way here wait Maybe I should show another thing here But um well it's obviously not 16 Degrees Celsius and Battery Inlet so Yeah but the battery is slowly heating Up now you see that we get more and more Power here so I mean already now we Should get maximum power but maybe Um yeah maybe the the battery needs to Hip heat up slightly further so we get a Lower internal resistance But yeah so I need to wait a little bit And then we'll go for the launches and Then Yeah let me see Um yeah another thing by the way so um Here we have the GT button When you have the hair is a dry mold Button let me see can you see that yeah So you can use this dry mode button to Alternate between the screens are always Brighter than the environments I always Have to turn down material so you see You see we have eco mode we have normal Mode and we have sport mode all these Three modes plus well at least I try Normal sport I never use eco mode these These modes they will have the same Maximum power output which is around Um you can see I've seen it here it has Around 360 kilowatts in order to get the 440 kilowatt roughly which is 585

Horsepower you have to be in the GT mode You have to use this button but if you Use this one Um you will see that stuff changes and I Will talk a little bit here you see this Is normal mode and then when you do this You will see that traction control is Off and you're supposed to do this on The track right but if you press it Again my shows up here and that's my dry Mode Let's show you here in this screen You see now we're entering the my dry Mode and then when you go to settings Here Wait for the live You can change lots of parameters for Example motor in order to get the Maximum power this is just like for Example the BMW I4 and I Uh I4 and was it I X I don't remember But you have to be in the boost mode of Whatever is popular yeah so same here in Order to get all the power you have to Be in Sport Plus mode if you're in any Of these other modes here you will not Get the maximum power so you can be in This one but then steering I prefer to Have it in normal because I'm not doing Any truck driving we're going to drive On public roads suspension Um maybe Sport Plus is better for Acceleration I'm not sure this one here Okay will be for Comfort but since we Are doing acceleration let's try Sport

Plus and then here is the limited slip Differential uh I would just leave it in Normal but here this is also important ESC or traction control we want to have It on normal because we're driving on Public road maybe if you're driving on The track you want to have it in sport Bar or off but then you should know what You're doing but we shouldn't be doing That on public road so at least I show You that I set up everything to be in The most on the most powerful way so now Let's say so in in order to go back to If we go back over here you go to EV This is this is this menu here is like From the 90s really the way it works It's really old-fashioned menu system or Use infotainment in general you go to Map and you have this one here right Okay then you have to go home here and Then I'm gonna go to I want to see the Power outputs I want to click here Energy Information click here again and There's a consumption and then we have This screen again okay but you see that It's still pulling 5.6 kilowatt so we Have to wait a little bit more until the Battery is hot enough Yeah so there's a lot of preparation Time here if you want to have a drag Race you know some some fossils next to You and Let's go and I'd be like well I have to Wait about half an hour before the

Battery heats up LOL Launch number one Foreign All right we're back home let's take a Look at the results so you see this is a Slightly different test than I normally Do I don't haven't done too many of them But um yeah so the ev6 GT does a nice And flat consistent to run all the way To around 30 you see a slight drop and then 20 Even more and then 10 even more Significant so compared to for example Model 3 Performance you see that the Model 3 Performance is way more Consistent but it wasn't always like This because here you have MC Hammer Which is from 2019 and you see MD or the Old model 3 actually had a similar drop At low standard charge versus uh yeah Like GT had you know and this one is Even easier to see maybe well it depends If you're looking for the raw numbers Like uh kilometers seconds to co200 then These are numbers but here these are Normalized numbers you can see that okay Uh it is fairly flat actually really Nice and flat until Yeah I think around 20 usually 20 and 10 You have the drop right uh and then look At this one this is a rival a similar Price but of course it's a sedon eb6 GT Is way bigger in in size and also the Eb6 GT is 800 volt architecture and also

Pure EV platform M50 is uh kind of small But but look at the M50 in comparison Man the Germans they just have super Nice and flat and consistent Power all the way until 10 so very Impressive but I just have to point out One thing here is that the the M50 is Indeed slower than the ev60t at least Until ah Yeah at 20 then suddenly the M50 gets an Edge there so yeah we have the numbers Here and then also here if we have Access to some car scanner or whatever Right um OBD2 you can then see the Difference in battery temperature so I use that Battery Optimizer which only Works above 70 percent and that's why The temperature is fairly high but then After this one then you see that it Slowly drops but still maintains okay Temperature and I guess you know this Car I mean these batteries they are not The one they're not LFE battery so they Don't suffer that much when it comes to Power output but it seems like towards The end you lose the power you can see Here actually yeah this one is better so You see that we get okay this is the Battery output not what goes into the Wheel so there's probably a little bit Of losses and transmission losses of Friction somewhere but again very nice And consistent all the way until Here at the very end then you get a drop

So yeah Um I'm not sure what else you say it's Interesting oh yeah I need to show you This the I4 is like Bam Bam Bam Bam 400 Kilowatt flat all the way until 10 so Again like we saw in the co200 times Really nice and consistent so yeah it's Not very often that I do these tests but Now you guys have seen it how the ev6 GT Does it that's the neighbors by the hum Would be interesting to test hunt Because Hunt is also co200 in 3.9 Seconds how will it handle it once you Go lower so I find this interesting Because you know uh you will see that I Tend to test performance cars here 90 to 10 because I want to see as a Performance car you want to get that Performance you're paying for that Performance right and then are you Getting it or do you only get it on Under some conditions by the way before I uh stand here I'm going to show Something here is that like okay so you Get the drop in performance how is it Versus the non-performance or the the Regular eb6 well the ev6 regular one has Only around 200 50 kilowatts so you Actually get a better performance all The way until around actually around 10 So that this is what I wanted to see uh Are you are you only getting it for a Very narrow span you know are you paying To get that extra performance only in

The road yeah no you actually get the Performance most of the time until the Very end which is usually limitation on Batteries anyway so yeah uh so in that Regard uh is it worth getting the ev6 GT For power absolutely you also get more Goodies than just the the power so yeah I think that's gonna be it for now I Hope you guys enjoyed this video as Always thank you for watching and talk To you later
