This video was brought to you by a Battery planner cam power Marcus Beale Steinberg and Bill componente Yo what's up we're now at Hollywood in UVic in Norway and today I'm going to Show you guys green station it's a bit Different than the regular Charming Station you normally see it has some Cool features for example okay First of all we see the price here green Station it says 4.66 wow that's a that's A good price over there at Circle K you Have to pay almost double the price per Kilowatt hour so and you can see the Price there And you're going to also see the price Here on the screen So you see they use chem power charges Well yeah another thing I should mention By the way you see here Um there is a law now that says that From the first of July Any charge Point operators who orders Charges not even installing but just if You order a charger after 1st of July 2023 you have to include payment system So which means that all the Chargers That exist today for example the one Over there That one might not have a charge a Payment solution in card payment but now Norway this is thanks to um They have pushed uh the the government Into the right direction to make it
Easier for for Ev drivers to pay for Charging or you can of course use the Regular solution with the RFID or app But at least card payment is going to be More and more common in Norway so Hopefully other countries will also Learn from this but okay let me show you Guys green station more of that stuff so The price here is supposed to change Depending on the spot price I install The green station up Let's see if we can see anything in the Sun here But it will look something like this you Can register your car you can register Your your license plate here Wait let me see yeah they look here so The price is supposed to follow The spot price And you can see that here it was lower Well Okay I'm not sure it's supposed to be seven Almost seven note per kilowatt hour but It's 4.66 the system is slightly delayed But okay but you can If you put in your car's license plate The station will recognize you I went Over here this is strange I went here a While ago but there they turned up you See we have cameras here and we have a Screen and the cameras are located on Each pair of chargers and If you have it if you have already added
The car in the app you can then just Plug and charge supposedly or I'm not Sure what happens if you haven't Registered the car yet but we're gonna Test it now we have the ID3 here this is The ID3 so uh facelift I forgot I'm not In Thailand I'm a little bit confused Now I will show you what happens If you Approach one Okay I'd assume a little bit so you see What's going on okay Like this like does And then we approach the charging Station The camera sees my license plate Takes a while Wait for the lug Wait how long is this supposed to take Come on We are here let's go I was going to demonstrate something And it didn't work I don't know why it Didn't work it worked on the other one Okay oh man okay that's um Let's try that again all right It didn't work on this stall for some Reason but it oh There's a car backing up and behind me And you have to yield for if your backup If You Buck Up you have to yield for any Other traffic but what if two cars back Up simultaneously okay that one didn't

How Electric City Vehicles Are Powered
EVs run on rechargeable batteries, freeing them from the need to burn fossil fuels. They’re easy to use and cost less to maintain, but it’s important to understand how they are powered.
Unlike gas-powered vehicles, which need to be refuelled every few hundred miles, most EVs are able to travel hundreds of miles on a single charge, and the battery can be recharged at home or at public charging stations. This means fewer trips to the pump and a simpler maintenance schedule.
The electric vehicle (EV) market is still evolving. Some dedicated EV models are now on the road, including models from Porsche and BMW that are built from the ground up for electric driving. Designed with electric driving in mind, these cars can include more passenger and cargo space than comparable ICE models without the need to make room for a bulky engine and transmission.
Many people have questions about how EVs are charged, and it’s important to know that the energy that powers EVs comes from a variety of sources. City Light’s clean, affordable electricity is a major part of the equation, and as demand increases, it will be critical to provide sufficient capacity to ensure that everyone has access to the power they need.
For example, if a large number of drivers all want to charge their cars on a summer evening when air conditioners are running at full blast, it could crash the system just as it did with the old coal plant that closed earlier this year in New York.
