However, implementing these plans will not be easy without investments in the necessary infrastructure for electricity generation and distribution. This will require a lot of work by the governments, energy industry and other stakeholders.

Incentives for converting fleets to electric could be provided through taxes, subsidies or even mandates to adopt a fixed number of urban EVs in public fleet operations. The use of EVs by fleet operators can reduce the need for a wide range of fossil-fuel resources.
Another major benefit of using electric vehicles is their lower CO2 emissions, which are a significant contributor to climate change. They also help avoid air pollution in densely populated areas.
Moreover, electric vehicles can provide substantial cost savings, as they use little fuel and can therefore be more economical to operate than conventional vehicles. Especially in regions where oil resources are in short supply, such as in the Middle East and Japan, using EVs is highly desirable.
