This video was brought to you by Steinberg a better world planner Mr Green Camp power and Marcus Beale Yo what's up we are now the PA head Office in Bangkok this is going to be my Regular starting point and finally Finally it's here mg4 this is actually The um 51 kilowatt hour lfp battery in Thailand in Europe they get the 64 Kilowatt hours this one charges slightly Slower 117 kilowatt Max and yeah So the Plan is to drive from Bangkok to Chiang Mai and see how fast it is I already Drove it to this location and I have to Say it's really impressive but okay so I Charge the car to 100 and uh well let me Show you that The steering wheel is on the right side With the wrong side should have been Left side with the right side but okay Okay we come back to the interior and Everything so everything has been set up Now I'll show you I'm sitting here We have navigation plan up And I don't know we wait 300 oh Yeah we had to drive north and then Charge somewhere on the way there I had To figure out where to stop and Everything uh yeah so we have to reset Oh yeah this looks just like the mg5 in Europe and also the MGs at the CV it has A new you use interface new screen here New screen here 99 already what I think

The suspension on this md4 feels like German cars they they must have copied German cars somehow the Chinese I I'm Really really impressed of how what dude Look at that freaking tired drivers I'm Really really impressed of how well this Car drives like sometimes I feel like I'm driving a BMW I4 you know the way it Rides over the bumps is is super Impressive and the sound level here is Also relatively low it doesn't have any Double glazed window or anything like That but so far my impression of this Md4 is superb What first starting stop this is just a Quick top up just to make sure that we Can make it to the next charger so it's A new location yet another PTT station Uh I will just go to the restroom Because now I need to drive quite far For the next one and this battery is Simply too small for me to reach the Next Charger and also I will show you That it's lfp maybe the battery is a Little bit cold because right now I was expecting something like 50 Kilowatt but we're actually only getting 25.6 kilowatt oh but okay so um the plan Is to drive to you know the regular Route the PT charger whatever it is you See here it's 243 kilometers from here Since the starting point is slightly Different now so I just have to make Sure that we can get there and I
Estimated that we probably need around 90 percent but I don't know how much This car consume and how what the net Capacity is and everything but according To my quick math it seems like 90 is What we need to do need to get and then We might have to drive a little bit slow Also towards the end we'll see how we go But this is probably the best deal Because the problem is that all the Chargers uh further north is kind of Clumsy the way uh the positions Everything but actually I did not expect To get only 25 kilowatt here 50 kilowatt Would have been better Okay quick pit stop done Where we charge for around 12 minutes This one actually counts when they we Handshake also but roughly 12 minutes of Charging and we better go now so we have It's only 17.5 kilowatt I think the Battery is slightly colgating that's why But hopefully this Top-Up was enough for Us to get over to the next project I Mean if I knew about that it will be Slow I would go to a bank Jack station Further north instead and then I will Get 50 kilowatt but well uh let's go Then [Music] Foreign [Music] Pet so yes we are now 49 kilometers away From the 125 kilowatt Georgia
And Gom claims we have 62 kilometers Left so I lower my speed a little bit Normally I will be cruising at 120 Kilometers per hour but um yeah I'm just Saving a little bit of energy I might Speed up a little bit towards the end Now but just have to make sure that I Can get there so yeah I'm not too big Deal we are losing a little bit of time But that's the name of the game you know This is the real challenge when you have A smaller battery then you just have to Do whatever you have to do to get to the Charger so it's People normal people who will be driving This car will also have the same problem So yeah traffic is kind of on the North There is working I call them the Truck Mafia freaking Thai truckers man they hug the right Lane and they don't move over to the Left lane they just hug the right lane Freaking annoying and have to drive Slowly oh that's a cool Mountain Look at that yeah Wow Yeah Thailand actually has the mountains Also but okay so um And also you see here many times we are Stuck behind uh right lane Huggers yeah And I just have to drive a lot of slalom Nowadays Oh we are almost at the charger now in 3.4 kilometers and we have seven
Kilometer on gum gum has been dropping Faster and fast enough as I expected so I have to slow down even more this is Just Chinese software I guess so as Usual we always go deep in Thailand Oh yeah we are now charging getting 81 Kilowatt We have to hurry because someone else Booked the other uh stalls we have to Charge here ASAP before the other guy Arrives Wait are we going getting only 80 Kilowatts Wait a minute I thought we were supposed To get 117 kilowatt Max Maybe the battery is not hot enough or Hmm But okay I think it's noodle time Uh I can't get the trip meter up but Anyway Um we can see here I actually took a Screenshot here so I charged to 89 and I Arrived with one percent so it means That I spend 88 So based on all the Numbers here I estimate that we have 50 No no we have 49 kilowatt hour net Capacity so that is very useful Information when I estimate the battery From now on okay so wow okay how well You're getting 84.6 okay but we need to Get the noodles now this car is starting Fast ish oh they've always here the guys Who booked the charger I'm still Receiving 86 kilowatt
Uh fortunately So I wonder hey what are they charging Now I need to check if they're charging Because this is very fortunate for me if I'm getting the full speed and they are Don't they don't they only get the Leftover speed well okay but I have Ordered the food so we better get going And eat Okay so I see they are fiddling a little Bit with the charge over there and but Food has arrived but I'm going to show You something here that I was getting 85 Kilowatts until they start charging Because they they reserved I should have Reserved it seems like once um when I Came here earlier and it was dropping Then the first guy who comes will get The highest priority and I was getting 75 kilowatt and the model 3 next to me Was getting 50 kilowatt in this case it Seems like the guys who Reserve they get The most power uh 70 something kilowatt And then I'm left with 47. you see he Goes a little bit up and down I wonder If they are disconnecting and connecting Because they they don't understand why They're not getting 120 kilowatts so I Think we need to deduct a little bit of Time here because of this kind of not Optimal charging session but I just have To finish eating right now because I'm Actually running out of time
While we're back in the car now so um Actually the live stream people they've Been keeping track of the trolling Session and they look at when we started Sharing with the Volvo and once the Volvo connected the speed dropped from 85 kilowatt to it has almost half the Speed and then we actually share charger For over 10 minutes around 12 minutes Something which means that you can then Say that we we charge 10 minutes slower Yeah so we're going to correct for it And and count 10 minutes because of this Because yeah because this is just based On pure luck fair and square and then Also this morning when I started I went To the PTT station and that was actually A mistake I should have gotten 40 Kilometers further up to a PT station And that would have been better because The state of charge would have been Lower I would have warmer battery and I Would be closer to the destination here So and the problem is that this I'm Quite new to this route unlike for Example 1000 km challenge so it's a Little bit unfair that I made the Mistake for this car you know so we will Also correct five minutes for that one So it would be as if we started at Um 12 25 today yeah so now we just have To figure out how much we need to charge And then yeah we'll see but actually Past 60 then the car is supposed to
Charge kind of slow like this anyway so All right All right we're almost good to go I Estimated that we need uh we need to Spend roughly 85 75 percent so it goes Kind of slow or not towards the end but I think this is the best deal because Every time you charge in Thailand you There is so much overhead you sometimes Have to U-turn you have to come in here And then after I finish charging I would Have to pay in the Alexa app how to do All the 3D authorization Go with bunk ID And stuff in Norway and all that stuff So that's why I figured out that you Stayed here a little bit longer oh But now we should really leave yes 27 Kilowatt okay okay time to leave so the Next stop is going to be turn yeah the Same same place we stopped at with the Other cars also just yeah Foreign [Music] We have mg pilot Auto stair working okay You see now curve comes out and then Whoa look at that it slows down like a Toyota driver a typical oh look at that Look at that it has this jerky jerky Turn movement it doesn't turn smooth Like a Tesla you see that Is that I've seen that before also in uh I Wonder if it was a post or Volvo And then it speeds up again

Little while and you see now at 59 we Are only taking 53 kilowatt Oh okay so actually we don't get the 85 Kilowatt whatever until 60 like some People claim in the live stream Uh okay but I estimated we need them Around 75 to reach our destination All right we're on the move again uh It's just that we have a slight problem Because the screen is getting kind of Bright now uh uh it's supposed to auto Adjust right but no and then I want to Do some stuff here on the screen and the Screen is just the screen is frozen you Can't you can't do anything here What the heck man this Chinese software Screen is kaput choice Okay so in order to reset you have to Hold down the home button for about 10 Seconds and then you reset the whole Screen All right where do I start now we have This uh curves which is kind of Sharp-ish and then the car slows down Like a leaf driver or yeah a center oh And then suddenly it just gives up the Curve yeah how about that also just look How slow we are going now we set the Cruise control to 220 and then it beeps All the time So here's another curve coming just Throw you here Okay because now the curves are slightly Sharpened than the ones earlier today
And then they just it gives up oh It just the auto stage just gives up Halfway and then just goes towards the The ditch yeah how about that and then The whole beeping thing there's a Setting here uh every time you start the Car it resets so you have to turn off The beep every time now it doesn't beep See Wow what's up with Chinese software man I I keep seeing this over and over you Think that I'm just bashing on Chinese Software but when I'm testing a Tesla or A Mercedes I'm not complaining am I no why am I Complaining when I oh and then we have Annoying uh Thai drivers driving in the Middle of the lane yeah how about that man [Music] Foreign [Music] Parts of lampang and wow this car is Really impressive the way it can handle All the bumps Yeah but man it's supposed to be quite Bumpy over here and you can see that This time like always I just hold it Handheld and it just rides over the bump Like almost like a German car it's Really really impressive let me try the Left lane which is usually bumpier wow I Feel like the the suspension here is Better than not the three up to three
Times to be a little bit bouncy and then Uh or a good Volvo the Volvo is just Kind of bouncy also But here I feel like we have nice Comfort and and perfect it's a perfect Softness versus Firmness yeah wow so like I said in the Beginning the the suspension and the Ride in the mg4 is really really good [Music] We are here 20 47 okay so we have 15 Minutes of deduction plus the two Minutes of style of uh so that means Eight hours and 20 minutes wow that was What was the total uh let me see total Uh here 192 watt hour per kilometer wow okay Let's plug it in well actually okay All right so we are now charging on the PTT station thing and you see like I Always tell you that this charger is is From China charge core or something and It's limited to a 200 amp so that's why We are getting only 70 kilowatt over Here so yeah that means that the pack Voltage should be or the charging Voltage around it is around 350 volt but At the Delta charger or the LX charger We used earlier today there will be Getting 85 kilowatt Peak so I've seen 330 amp on the Tesla charging at the 125 Kilowatt uh Delta charger so that's why We actually avoided PTT station today Because it's not charging fast enough
For for the challenge So um yeah now I actually want to see How long can we get 70 kilowatts Even at 51 we are receiving over 70 Kilowatt that's actually not too bad for Around 50 kilowatt hour battery and a Chinese car and then compared to the Other competitors in Thailand like or a Good cut and then the other three it Seems like the the mt4 here is the Fastest charging car All right so this is actually the end of The Banco challenge normally I'll go Back to uh Chang Dao but today I'm Actually staying in Chiang Mai because Wifey and the baby is here in Chiang Mai So yes how was the the mt4 well I was Really impressed with the driving field The whole driving like like I said it Feels like a German car it's almost Unreal how it how well it rides man uh But I have to say the interior okay the Interior doesn't look that fancy like I Shown before it it kind of looks a Little bit cheap in many ways some hard Plastic here and there the the space Trunk in the space is kind of not that Great but at least the seats are good The steering wheel feels good to touch And and the ride is awesome and the the Whole soundproofing is also fairly good So I I remember when I was hammering Over the mountain before I got here I Was like twisty you know or just driving
Was driving it almost like a go-kart you Know it was really that great ride with Rebel Drive and lots of power so I Really enjoyed driving it you know by The end of the day what matters is Getting from A to B right if the Interior is not that great who cares and Then the mt4 managed to get here in 8 Hours and 20 minutes which is 20 minutes Faster than up to three I think after Three Um I must have set a wrong consumption Number because actually the auto three Doesn't show a trip meter so I'm pretty Sure that the Auto 3 consume more than The mg4 it must be that's the only Wanted explanations but also it seems Like the mg4 charges faster than up to Three of the three was kind of like on And off it was a little bit Moody Sometimes you charge fast sometimes a Little bit slow and then the charging Session of the output 3 seems to be Longer than this one despite that the Auto 3 actually has a bigger battery and Also slightly more range than the mt4 so Yeah uh in Thailand this car actually Costs less than one million Baht 970k or something and then up to three The small battery starts also at the Same price and then the big battery Comes a little bit more expensive but I Tested the big battery to see the mg4 Actually beat a more expensive car so
I'm actually really impressed of both of The car the only minus is that okay Interior is kind of cheapish and then The space is also kind of not that great But I think in Europe this car is going To kick some serious ass except for this Is the 52 kilo 51 kilowatt hour LLP Battery in Europe we get the 64 kilowatt Hour battery so I will of course test That one in Europe as soon as mg in Norway lends me one I don't know why They're limited you know I could have Told people how awesome this car is many Many months ago if they just lend me the Car in Norway All right whatever I think that's going To be it for now I hope you guys enjoyed This video as always thank you for Watching and talk to you later

Kia – The automaker has two EVs in its lineup, the EV6 sedan and the EV6 SUV. The former features a rear-mounted single motor and a 77.4-kWh battery pack, which can provide up to 310 miles of driving range before needing a recharge.
Subaru – The Subaru Solterra is a compact SUV that’s designed to look rugged with bulging plastic wheel arches, but it’s not particularly fast or generous in terms of driving range. It returns EPA fuel economy ratings of 82 MPGe in city driving and 88 MPGe on the highway.
