As the weather is uh good enough then uh Let's goell goell wait wonder if I if I Can provoke that uh problem wait do we Have unbalanced wheel yep I think We have uh probably snow and ice uh Stuck on it so once we put it in the Heated and insulated garage with Waterbone heater at yes same everything Will melt and dry out and it'll be Fine okay how is the stuff going on now Oh the fun fact you know in the car You have uh two different settings we Have drive mode D then the heater here Goes at higher kilowatt but then you put Put it in eco mode uh then you have more Regen but then the heater seems to be in More of a stingy mode so yeah I tend to Use uh Ecco mode since uh it has more Region but then sometimes I yeah even Switch to D mode to get the better Heating oh we have no indicated Range left it's just blinking battery Level is low but we are finally here oh Yes oh um okay we have supposedly 1.9 Kow hour left you know in summer it Might shut down with3 KW hour left but Uh if it's cold then it it might Actually shut down before that maybe I Should uh do a zero mile test And with cold battery to see what Happens okay now I need to back no no Yeah I want to back up okay back up into The garage Right okay we Jing now all good yeah

Electric City Vehicles and the Future of Power Generation

EVs consume less energy than gasoline vehicles, which helps cut fuel costs. Depending on how you use your vehicle and where your electricity comes from, you may be able to reduce or even eliminate fuel costs with an electric car. EVs are also more environmentally friendly than gas cars. They don’t produce any greenhouse gases when they run, and only about 17-21 percent of the energy from the grid goes to turning the wheels, compared with up to 60 percent for ICE vehicles.

Some EVs operate exclusively on electricity, while others—often called plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) or blended mode EVs—use electricity and gasoline to provide more range when needed. The EPA calculates an EV’s efficiency and range using its MPGe rating, which is similar to the miles-per-gallon rating for conventional gasoline vehicles.

EV owners can also charge their vehicles at home, work or at public charging stations, which are becoming more available and widespread. During a typical drive, most EVs can be fully charged in about six to eight hours using a standard 120 V outlet or dedicated 240-volt charging system, but the amount of time it takes to recharge an EV will vary by model and charging station.

Automakers are increasingly equipping their EVs with bidirectional charging capabilities, which let drivers sell excess energy back to the power grid. Earthjustice is fighting to ensure that utilities establish and expand these programs, which could help make the EV-powered future more sustainable for everyone.
