This video was brought to you by Steinberg a better world planner Mr Green Camp power and Marcus Beale Yo what's up we are now at cleavage and Behind me here you see test number s Platium long range from Marcus Beale so In this video I'm going to do an Acceleration test and a braking test I Don't bother with the noise test it Should be the same anyway so yes this Car has the wheel caps on oh yeah so I'm Now supercharging and heating up the Battery and preparing for the Acceleration yeah Unbreaking test I'll Show you inside Or it's outside is -2 degrees Celsius uh We are now heating up the battery 32 Degrees Celsius I'm not sure how much I Need uh ideally around 50 degrees Celsius I think so yeah by the time we Hit 100 we should be close to 50 degrees And then we will get a pretty good Discharging rates and then good Acceleration Foreign Thank you Foreign Foreign Let's take a look at the result so see It made it very well in the acceleration Test so there's a little bit uh double Data I'll explain here so this is the One where I had over 90 or close to 100 State of charge and it also yielded the
Best result you see that we have Nokian R5 not ideal because actually knocking R5 tires are even softer than the R3 Times but somehow the Palladium here I Call it Palladium by the way you see That plaid disappeared but plot is Unique uh because it's there's only one Variant of it right whereas a lot less Long range it has also a Palladium but Also there's a raven variant here you See that's the previous generation so That's why I named it Palladium but you Can by the way see that the Palladium is Actually a lot faster than the long Range Raven it's roughly half a second Fast and this is even with the mug rims And whatever but okay so they made it Faster all right they also measure the Horsepower oh okay now it's not on Untested but claims to be around 5 150 Horsepower but look here so I might Managed to get get 7 on 11 horsepower And also I measure that the weight is Only 220 kilograms it's actually 100 Kilograms lighter than plaid because it Has one less motor and inverter but uh Still okay what what I found very Impressive is that the Palladium here or I mean the long range here managed to Actually set the exact same time as the Eqs this is 53 for multi plus it's the Beefiest eqs and it it has more Horsepower probably more torque but it Is also very heavy we're talking about
600 kilograms more weight so it's like a Working cruise ship whereas the Tesla is Way lighter when it comes to cornering And stuff then you want to have a Lighter car so okay yeah this is the Result I found there there are this one Also you know fair and square I think if Both these cars did with summer Tires it Would be better result and yeah this one Also by the way so the Equus actually Had fat the front tire but then slightly Narrow rear tire versus the Tesla and Then when it comes to braking test again We can compare against the plug so the The long range actually had a slightly Worse braking performance with the same Exact same tires and it should be better But it's just two degrees Celsius is Different so yeah I guess so but again Over and over again you see that winter Tires they are still always on the Bottom regardless of how cold it is even Minus five minus three degrees Celsius Versus summer Tires with four degree Celsius then the summertime is way Better Okay maybe we can just kill that Discussion and then when it comes to Noise you see here that um I had the impression that the long range Had better noise but then when I Actually measure it it wasn't really That much better or actually it's Slightly worse than plaid I'm not sure
What's up with that maybe it's hard to To place it directly to measure it since You have the noise canceling yeah but I Should also mention this was noise Canceling also so I didn't bother Measuring without noise counting because I I expected people who to test the cars They will also have noise canceling on But then okay so and then I have some Special data for you guys here the 90 to 10 percent uh test acceleration test so It's slightly different than what I've Done before because what I've done Before is that okay I did the charging I Mean I did the the acceleration test but This time I actually what I can show you Here on this time Um normally with other cars I would just Let them do whatever I will let the Battery cool down and that actually Becomes a slight disadvantage during Winter but I was also testing something I think it was the long range here that Scavenged the battery way too much and It was going dog slow but I figured that What is the whole purpose of this well The purpose of the test is to see how How awesome the power is in the car in Let's say summer so actually I changed The thing to I actually navigated to the Fast charger to keep the battery Temperature high and what we are looking For here is how is the power drop here You see well I didn't see say Palladium
Hairs I'm not consistent because now It's kind of confusing is it Raven or is It Palladium maybe I should use yeah Okay we'll see but but you see that okay So we actually have a slight drop here This one is you need 522 kilowatt to be 7 or 11. the one that was almost 100 the One with the best time you will see that This one here uh when I did 90 it's not As fast as the one the other one yeah The one that is in the other tab but Okay You will see that it has a slight drop 510 500 and yeah a slight and gentle Drop but I have to say very impressive That it can maintain 410 kilowatt at 10 Percent okay but we have warm is battery But that's the name of the game it's Like this is more to simulate a typical Track driving performance in you know Normally in summer where the battery is Hot already without even preheating to Go to any fast charger uh and so yeah Okay so we have the data here this is What I wanted to see but I don't know if You noticed something else by the way is That In the acceleration actual test the BMS Actually claimed that we had more than 500 it was I think at the beginning it Claimed that it was like seven eight Hundred kilowatt but that is what the Battery can deliver and then what we Actually get out of it is less I was
Actually expecting nice and flat uh Power rate until 10 but that didn't Happen I'm not sure what's up with that So but I can show you here by the way is That yeah so uh the the acceleration was Fairly consistent Um but then you can see a slight drop Here at 60 percent but then they also Kind of maintain it actually pretty much All the way into 20 and then at 10 there Was a slight drop again so this is still Very very good like this kind of numbers But okay it's a little bit conservous in Because you have so many numbers here But over here I normalized them saying That okay one is this one and then Whatever oh no you understand how what These numbers mean so what we're looking For here is that we want to have as low Average as possible because it means That then then it's super consistent uh Like the power is consistent all the way Until the battery is almost out right And this kind of number here is very Very good on power with model 3 Performance the all performance this is The 2019 you see there was a more Significant drop towards the end and Then the M50 is really good look at the I4 it's just flat I can show you why Because in the M50 I might I have it Here also I have so much data here but Here you can see that in the M50 I Measured 400 400 kilowatt consistent all
The way into the last one when the Boost Was over so and that was even very Impressive that although this is battery Okay I didn't have the battery Temperature for the M50 unfortunately Because I don't have any OBD tool that Can measure it but okay so back to this One so when we look at the Palladium Here Uh you see that it's on par with e-tron GT even and this is one one has taikan Drivetrain so um this is what I wanted To see like how how good is the power Output until the end and it seems like It actually this kind of 1.03 is Actually better than average yeah so Yeah at least now I tested it it was Interesting for me to test it it took a Lot of time but um and also wonder if People care about this kind of tests It's kind of I don't know where to test Maybe and then I don't think any YouTuber tests like this but for me I'm A geek and I like to see these numbers And I I was to be honest I was slightly Disappointed because I was expecting uh The the Palladium here the long range to Have like the BMV M50 I4 M50 like like You know flat power output because my Claim was my idea was that the battery Had so much more to give you know the Battery was not the bottleneck what We've seen in other cars and other Teslas or even other cars in the past is
That battery is usually a bottleneck and Then it goes slow and slower but here it Seems that the battery could Supply more But then I'm not sure why it was going Slightly slower towards the the the Second half but okay now you guys have Seen it what do you guys think here in My opinion I actually think that this Long range is a pretty good deal versus The the plan you know this is like the Poor man's plot it goes like a freaking Rocket and it's faster than the old long Range and it has more it has more range It has better interior everything so It's like a very nice upgrade the only Problem is the stockless steering wheel Thing yeah anyway I think that's going To be it for now I hope you guys enjoyed This video as always thank you for Watching and talk to you later
Electric City Vehicles Cars Power
Electric City Vehicles Cars Power
There are a lot of things to consider when it comes to making the switch from gas to electric vehicles. First, you’ll need to decide what size of vehicle you need. There are many different options on the market, so it’s important to find out which one will best suit your needs.
EVs consume less energy than conventional cars, resulting in lower fuel costs and a significantly reduced carbon footprint. In addition, EVs can be charged using renewable electricity from solar and wind farms, which will reduce your carbon footprint even further.
The most efficient EVs on the market return more than 83 MPGe, a measure of fuel efficiency that is comparable to a miles-per-gallon rating for a conventional gas-powered vehicle. Some EVs, such as Porsche’s Taycan, also have class-leading range figures.
Recharging an EV takes longer than refueling a fossil-fueled vehicle. The speed of charging varies, depending on the type of charger and the capacity of the vehicle’s battery to absorb charge.
Charging stations are becoming more common, especially in urban areas. Some public charging stations can charge an electric car to 80% in just 15 minutes.
Besides reducing greenhouse gas emissions, EVs will also help to increase grid resilience. When a car is fully charged, it can send its own power back to the electrical grid when it’s not needed. That’s called bidirectional charging. This could potentially save a utility company the cost of installing additional battery storage for the grid.
