This video was brought to you by Steinberg a better world planner Mr Green Camp power and Marcus Beale [Music] [Applause] We are now at Tesla V2 supercharger site At melbouristran so yes over here Everything is closed not but you see Melbison is closed but Let's see now so on the V2 we might not Get maximum speed but maybe that's a Good deal and also this time I arrived With It was 13 a little bit more than I I Charge a little bit more than I needed But that seems to make Wonders on the on The Uh temperature here because the voltage Was not too low and then we did not get Any heat buildup so I didn't have to Slow down which is good I guess So we'll see um yeah I might go for Around 65 only this time or I'm not sure We'll figure it out But you see here this is interesting Because on the V2 supercharger we do not Get enough it seems like maybe amp is Limited a little bit here and then that Means that we don't hit 140 kilowatt But that could actually be enough favor Because then it means that the heat Buildup is not crazy high we just get a Flatter curve and then we might not have Rapid gate huh

From Toyota so let me explain I have counted every time I charged and I have a calculator that we have 285 percent added So which means that if we would charge From zero percent to 100 two times That's 200 and then the third session if You travel from zero to 65 percent That's that's 265 right but then What Toyota wrote to me in the email was That you have those 3.8 Cycles right Which many people might be misinterpret Also but what Toyota means by those Cyclists is one of those cycle means Charging from 10 to 80 percent so we're Actually a Toyota cycle is just adding 70 to the battery so if you actually Take 70 Multiplied by 3.8 it becomes Just a coincidence maybe 265 percent So if I knew that that's how it worked I Shouldn't have driven well It's kind of funny because I did Actually drive slower than normal at Least in the 120 Zone but if I knew this I would drive Even slower Like I would drive 10 kilometers per Hour slower than that work again Because by driving slower you will then Need slightly less energy And you will then Hopefully not to hit the the limit yet
But I think I hit the limit There's a little bit of cool down now Um yeah also that that thing when I Three days ago when two days ago when I Drove uh just happened to drive 1 000 Kilometers but it was over a 24 hour Span there was enough cooldown in Between them so when I also try to Somehow the cycles It was way more than 265 percent I added I think it was more like 350 percent I Added and then based on that I was Thinking oh yeah that makes sense you Know 3.8 Cycles But I think what I didn't understand There is that it happened over 24 hours So there was actually a lot of cooldown In between where I lost uh penalty Points but now that I'm doing 1 000 Kilometer challenge I condense it down To only eight hours so there is no time To cool down or very little time to cool Down And that's why we hit the limit now so I Suspect that once we quit over to Helsinkboink we will see 120 130 Kilowatt for a minute maybe and then 50 Kilowatt Yeah we will see the plot thickens at Helsing body [Music] All right We are charging Nine minutes past five we start
Let's see Oh Well well well Wow this is such a big difference We started with 11 so we added 15 Percent in 12 minutes it's just huge Difference previous session we went from We added the I don't know whatever it Was three times faster than preposition So yeah my mistake I misinterpreted the Info from Toyota So I guess we should redo this okay I Figured out that if I draw 10 kilometers Per hour slower Okay what I need to say is that we Managed to Hammer-ish like semi Hammer over here And it throttle after 800 kilometers but If we would drive slower It will probably throttle at the 900 Kilometer Mark and then I just have to Crawl and charge slow and then crawl Over and finish it right but then I Calculated then if we drive that much Slower you will also arrive slower And at least now we are charging at okay Speed so I just have to avoid going Below 45 kilowatt once it dips below 45 Kilowatt I just have to go for the next Charger and I have to ride on the 45 Kilowatt wave and we still managed to Get decent time yeah so I think even if I redo this it might just be Maybe 15 minutes faster a quick month so
It's not going to be like a night and Day difference anyway so yeah anyway I Think it's time for me to get over to The gas station and then let me check Again now are we still getting Yeah you you don't want to we don't want To leave now as long as we get 45 Kilowatt flat rate Then we stay here We have charged for 23 minutes now and I Calculate we have just enough juice to Go to Homestyle so let's go for it Because it starts going slower now so Yeah it's time to leave Let's go to Homestead [Music] [Music] We are now at Hollister supercharger Plan till I'm here But we are only charging at 41 kilo Hawaii this is even slower than Previously and I even try to drive Dogs slow seems like it doesn't help Okay let's just go faster in the next One then how about that Yeah uh maybe it's cold getting Whatever All right [Music] We are now at the last starting stop at Water park we're taking 45 kilowatt oh Yeah okay so this is the deal we just Have to charge just enough now Um okay it's stupid once we have the my
Mode my room mode on I don't see the Total trip meter it's on the bottom here But I remember it was how much and we Had to drive around 60 more kilometers To do 999 and then the plan is to stop At buckable that's like 10 kilometers Extra yeah so I don't care too much About the convenient charge now we might Charge one minute extra I might just Deduct it I'm not sure but most people Who watch my video they don't know what Convenient charge is they don't know why We deduct for uh Road works for example Uh and so on so but I don't want to Explain too much just say that what the Time is this And that we have four minutes of Deductions before because of some Road Works here at Falcon bike but right now We are at roughly the 11 hour and 10 Minute mark So yeah Hopefully we can finish in roughly 12 Hours so that's going to be a big Improvement over the old one Why this is it the final run so I found Out that this car under reports Distance By 1.2 percent which means that we have To count to 988 kilometers oh yeah All right today is 18th of May yeah Yesterday was 17th of May so um I just Have to drive now Um it's actually a public holiday in Sweden and I think throughout Europe so
We shouldn't hit too much traffic so That's good at least yeah let's go for It All right let's do the countdown 999 one 9992 9993 994 995 996 997 No no eight Nine nine nine nine One thousand time eight twenty four plus The regular thing 11 hours and 15 minutes whoa Who and a half hour Improvement The slow clap For Toyota [Music] So okay so it was a big Improvement Versus the previous version the previous Version was really bad like they they Just they limited the the charging way Too aggressively so I think Toyota did The right thing it's not that harmful For the battery and it just made a big Difference because with the old time That or the Old Testament which was Actually good that they tested we can Now see the different before and after And you see that two and a half hours Difference roughly and also when you Look at the consumption okay that was
Winter-ish consumption right but Remember that the consumption there was Incorrect it was showing 10 higher so The real consumption was actually 250 275 watt hour per kilometers okay today Was better but it was mainly because it Was warm outside and we actually draw a Little bit slower than optimal I drive Today I had to drive slower than I Usually Drive the other cars Um But I don't think Toyota has improved The efficiency of the car they just Corrected so the display was showing Correct numbers so yeah but okay I mean Almost 12 hours or 10 hours and 50 Minutes how slow is it well or yeah it's Slow as a 10 year old Millennium Falcon More or less with throttle speed and Permanently throttle all the time And then versus other cars yeah ionic by The classic ionic and such and i-pace Huh you see Uh I'm not sure the other cars are a Little bit unfair to compare against Like eqv or something like that you know Town star Xc40 I'm not sure why it was that slow That was I think that was with the oh Yeah 2020 is all the result the xc40 is A lot faster now with way faster Charging coil preheating and so on Um but all I can say that is that almost 12 hour uh
It's not that great you know it's below Average but at least it's not a disaster Anymore so it's still okay and for the Average Toyota driver who most likely Drive slow than me then they will not Hit this trigger and plus that not money Toyota drivers will Hammer 1000 Kilometer within 12 hours they will Probably Drive less than that and then By doing a slower Drive they will most Likely not encounter this or if at all Yeah they might drive only 500 Kilometers and then take a breath and Something or sleep over and then drive Another 500 kilometers so maybe they Could hit this limit after on the third Or the fourth day if they just happen to Travel a lot on several days something Like that so okay I mean it's not Optimal but I think most Toyota drivers Will not find this to be any big trouble Anymore but it was a big problem before But not anymore that is my result after Testing this yeah and okay is the rest Of the car no like I pointed out This car has really nice and smooth Auto Stair at least it has okay soundproofing Okay seat okay it's like average on more Things Uh fairly Snappy infotainment uh Sometimes a little bit annoying but for The most part the car at least performs Okay Yeah so I think that's all I can say
About this is that they had oh yeah I Was on the intervention they need to try To fix their rapid gate because the Replicate was making the run a little Bit slower and also I wonder Did the replicate uh trigger more Penalty points for me because the rapid Gate or the cooling of the batteries out Of my control So well I almost but I can drive slower That will improve it slightly but not That much it was just the car was being Stingy on the cooling so If that's the case that the rapid gate Or hot battery gives you more punishment Than people living in warmer places like California or Spain or even Thailand They will get more punishment points Which is unfair so the call should try To minimize the punishment points as Possible yeah so um like I said I will Send an email to Toyota I will list all My recommendations and then they can Consider what they can do and what they Want to do to maybe improve this or Change this or not so anyway I think That's going to be it for now I hope you Guys enjoyed this video as always thank You for watching and talk to you later
