This video was brought to you by Steinberg a better world planner Mr Green Camp power and Marcus Beale Yo what's up we are now outside of Berlin and behind me here you see Volkswagen id7 I will do a quick review This is kind of a little bit stressful So you will feel that we have the fast Pace here but we'll do a quick review This is a prototype so not everything Has final but it's very close to final So the car is almost five meters long And we have almost three meter wheelbase And then we have some kind of Aerodynamic rims here wow this is Actually It's actually metal here how not only Hurt my Knuckles it's not like Tesla Where they have some kind of plastic Cover so I want to check something here The Hood how long is the hood well we'll Find out whoa look at this holy macaroni The length here Is 100 centimeters you know Tesla Model S has similar size but the hood on the Tesla is from what I remember around 120 Or 130 centimeters a lot longer Hood Which means that we have more usable Space inside the car okay and then let's Check out here So here we have the cabin and you see Stuff that you know from ID family you Have a memory key memory buttons here we Also have massage seats and this one
Also has seat ventilation and you can Adjust Here you see it gathers crumbs And then miss it in here so Nice nice seating position And then when it comes to materials Actually more soft materials done in the ID 3 so it's supposed to be better Interior wise This one still the cover of this one so You don't know it's a Volkswagen But yeah so we have this kind of tiny Instrument cluster now but we have Header display pretty big with ar and Everything and also this screen is way Bigger than before Oh okay there's some Stuff here I can't show you guys but Because this car is a prototype so it Has some logging and some communication And some fat cables all over the place But at least um I can show you maybe if I can get the camera now please so we Are kind of running out of time because We have to get back to the airport but I Can give you an impression yeah okay the Car goes on crazy over that okay is that Nice dashboard you see we have these Events that are controlled Electronically they're for them we have One there one there One there and then one I don't remember Where it was Um and then let me show you the seats ID Nice seat with some some nice side

Happens because look how spacious it is In the back I like to check something I Have brought the laser can with me I'm gonna try now to see what kind of This um we have roughly yeah roughly 130 Centimeter but what is important is here You know Um the id7 is roughly the same length as The model S but it is actually 10 Centimeters taller than the model S and That is so much important because the First thing I noticed when I sat in here Let me get this carpet uh properly Aligned here Whoa we have Roughly 35 centimeters of height so if You can come here a little bit I can Show you You see you sit super comfortably and we Have so much leg room here Amazing how much space you have but this Is the result of Fairly short hood and Long wheelbase you free up space in the Cabin for people and luggage We have to do the door closing sound Sounds great we have a cold hook there Yeah there we have a handle on all sides We have this one here yeah the the Sunroof and then show you here Ski opening of course like a true German Electro Auto And then here Let me see okay okay this one seems a Little bit simple just a cup holder here
Uh no no fancy schmancy table anything Like that but at least the back seat is Super comfy so you can race this one Race this one of course Um and let me check something here Okay how about Oh well okay okay the glass doesn't go All the way like a Tesla but still this New it's not a fist of clearance it's More like three fingers so it's still Decent maybe not the best but still Decent for for sedon this is quite good And actually yeah Volkswagen they call It the sedon but it's actually a Combi Because it's a five door so another Thing I Will Show You by the way But here I can show you here like this We have double glazed windows or Acoustic glass in the boat in the front And the rear but this one This one has a slight different tone So this one is probably not acoustic Glass but look in the back okay It's still recording right it's still Red yeah okay good yeah so here look at The trunk so we have 12 volt Outlet here In the I think you have to come a little Bit this side you can see we have Traveled Outlet there we have a button For folding the seats we have what this Does We have trailer hitch oh yeah and then You just do like this I like this color It's simple and it works and it's very
Practical and on here let me check the Length here We have 104 centimeters there that's good 100 100 Centimeters width that is pretty good And then we have this large sedan Opening like similar to ID 3 id4 or Tesla or eqs you know this large opening Here allows you to load bigger items I'm trying to take it out This makes the car very practical And of course it will fold the seats let Me try now I'm not sure if it works now In this prototype [Applause] It actually works nice and now we can Try again if I measure roughly here it Doesn't have the flat floor I mean yeah But remember roughly here we have Wow 195 centimeters that is approved and Then also you can show you that you can Open up this one and you get one you can Take out this the whole section here you See so you can lower it if you want and Then here I think that's the subwoofer and then There's even more storage here for some Some stuff So how to say really impressive let me Put this one back and then now we will Clean this up later but also a motorized Lift kit I should check if there's um a Kick sensor somewhere
But also yeah I should mention by the Way since uh Since we are this is a camouflage car And the original color is white and That's why you see this one I mean if You take rip off the camouflage you will See these white car so that's it it Seems to be a solid white but of course It comes in many many different colors So um yeah I think let me if you're Going to just get the camera please Thank you So yeah another thing I'm going to show You charge port opens up like this That's interesting not that side opening So I wonder why Volkswagen decided to go Like this Um yeah well at least That's how it is on that side And then I can do a little walk around And this one is also staggered by the Way we have 255 45 19. In the rear and then It should be 235.50 where is it again Yeah 235 50 19 in the front so here I Can show you a close-up on these kind of Rims but they cover up the Volkswagen Loop I mean who am I trying to fool Because they did not cover this logo Here okay but we should see maybe under There can we open the hood But yeah here we have radar it's Hopefully Um heated
And then let me take a little oh yeah by The way the lights here are different So they are not the typical ID like this Is the one you will find also in the id2 So I guess it's a new generation Headlights can't wait to test that one So let me do a little walk around let me Check some check for some stuff here It doesn't have a headlight washer The nozzles are Why did they move right when I moved That was weird I'm looking at the Nozzles out there One there what two nozzles And there's a camera there There's a little shark fin on the back There We have blinkers here and also they I Forgot to show you the door handles you Might like it or you might not like it They are like this They don't physically move out you you Just open it like this it's like ID3 id4 If you know them Yeah other than that I think I cover Most of this now Like this yeah this one of course can be There's this It's always interesting look at the Prototypes how what they look like uh Just do do it like this okay here you Can see that the angle is kind of like Upright a little bit Yeah and then here in the back
We have USBC and I wonder when the car is on you have Some information here depends on the Treatment level and everything and here You see the Harman Kardon So yeah That was a quick overview of the ID 7 And yeah since we already have it here We just happen to have an eqs right next To us And fun fact is that the id7 is taller Than a Tesla 10 centimeters taller and It's even slightly taller eqs is Actually taller than a Model S but you Can see next to Yeah eqs is longer it's 127 is longer You can see it there kind of like this But space wise It could actually I mean the id7 could maybe even match Eqs why because when we measure it the Hood on the id7 was relatively short I'm Not going to charge this one it's not Our car but you can see that the hood In the eqs is longer and the hood here Is like space you cannot utilize unless You have a front but these cars that Don't have fronts so it would be Interesting one once I get to test Banana boxes and everything in the id7 How it is but I'm really impressed of How much space you have especially in The back there and then eventually I Will also test the efficiency probably

Audi Q4 e-tron (2017)
The Q4 e-tron is a top-seller among electric cars, thanks to its modern styling, comfortable ride and ease of use. It has a range of up to 200 miles per charge and is also the most affordable EV with a starting price of $62,595.
Despite growing consumer interest, EVs represent less than 2% of all registered vehicles in the U.S. Utilities say they must invest in grid capacity and charging stations to support EV adoption, or risk facing billions in blackout-related charges. Adding capacity and installing new charging stations could require as much as $10 billion in investments over the next two decades, according to a recent Boston Consulting Group report.
