The Chevy Bolt EV is a new model that starts at $32,495. It has a 259-mile range and updates to 2022 include a long-range battery that expands the car’s range to 310 miles.
According to a report from Kelley Blue Book, electric vehicles are set to account for 5.5% of new car sales in the first half of 2022. As manufacturers introduce new models, the share of EVs will grow.
In order for a city to succeed in its EV initiative, its policymakers must work with the state and federal government. For example, the Electrifying New York plan sets ambitious goals for EV adoption in the city. It calls for an increase in public charging stations. It also plans to install 10,000 charging stations by 2030.
