This video was brought to you by Marcus Be elmech a planner stor bike camp power And be component yo what's up we are now At Minon this is a bit unusual starting Position because we have to avoid the uh Road works over there but okay so here We have a BMV I5 M60 and in this video We're going to do a range test so um I Will measure a couple of things the Battery here is oh let me stop hbag for Now the battery here is Supposedly okay I had to start the car It's supposedly slightly bigger than the I4 battery so I already started the test By driving to this point so we have now Since last charge I'm going to calculate The battery capacity and then we will Just Drive North around M and back again we do the N uh probably 120 test now because it's Midday less traffic and then the 90 test And I want to see see how thirsty is This Beast and then how is M today oh wow Kind of icy uh not too windy but it is Wet outside it has been snowing earlier But it stopped now but the road is uh I'm not sure but it's wet I wouldn't say Soaking wet so yes we're doing the 120 Test first it's half de Celsius outside Yeah and to make the test more realistic I'm going to hug the left lane yeah There seems to be slightly more uh Wetness on the left lane but yeah well
It depends you see over there we have Some wetness on the right side and in The my mode button here you see we can Choose different modes I've chosen Efficient mode I'm not sure what the Heck it does maybe skimp on the heater Yeah so I freeze but at least I will get The most range that's how EV life is but Man it's great comfort in here good Seats good soundproofing nice and thick Steer steering wheel and awesome stering Going to listen to that soon uh but uh You know we need to test charging Afterwards because I have done 1,000 K Challenge about a day ago and then Yesterday when I did some other test I Went to charge I got the message that uh Charging speed has been reduced for 2 Days to protect the battery so I was Like whoa are they pulling a Toyota here We need to test so normally we'll get uh 205 KW well what about now H well we're back at Minon and the Consumption was 200 what huh it was 289 It went up oh no it counts while we Station okay yeah it's 290 wat hour Kilom and wow okay let's do 90 test and In cars G we don't have many variables But at least we have this that looks Like battery temperature I'm not sure if It's battery Inlet but it gives you an Indication of what the battery Temperature is right now um one feature I don't like with the BW actually pretty
Much all the bws I tested maybe except For I3 is that um when you want to reset There is no confirmation you click and Then it resets this a bit scary man okay Let's test the sound system we have Bowers and Wilkin speakers there oo this Better be good wait how do I start it There [Music] H nice pleasant good Details good base not Overwhelming you can skip a bit yeah [Music] Okay Base also sounds uh quite linear that's Good skip your Hair are You I don't want to Waste Los it will be all right [Music] My okay let me listen to some Rattling [Music] Do you have rattling here nah last one Base nice and Firm oh yeah and also deep but not Overwhelming unlike thex with the B [Music] Wilkins I it's such a pleasure let's Tellest something else what about Distortion [Music] It plays loud until everything shakes

Kidding all right this time it was 223 W Hour per kilm okay now I have 48% left I Need to drive it down to almost zero so I can measure the battery Capacity uh we've been driving for a While and I navigated to ion doll wait Wait wait it's small let zooming bit Yeah so you see that the car estimates We will r with 16% but on this screen the car estimates We with 12% okay uh always be inconsistent Right we're done with the test and you See we have 4% left and then here we Have the consumption 283 wat hour per Kilm okay there was some hammering but You know based on all this it means that We have only 78.2 KW hour so if it took It easy if was somewhere we might get 80 KW hour but this means that we have the Same battery capacity or the same Available uh energy net capacity as the I4 wait a minute I'm getting 200 KW hour Per hour and the message is not there Anymore oh okay so maybe when it says 2 Days it literally didn't mean two days It means around 40 around 24 hours and Then you're back on the maximum speed That was also the case for the I4 I4 Also throttles and then I measure that I Figure that the the the coolon time for The I4 is also roughly 24 hours so all Good then oh yeah by the way do you know That the I Unity they recently lower the
Prices so the monthly fee for uh on the Passport and also the kilowatt hour for The passport is now roughly on the same Level as Tesla Supercharger yeah all right but um when It comes to range there you see that um Yeah um as expected this I5 is thirster Than the I4 under similar conditions but The I4 also had smaller tires rims so That also matters but uh yeah um and Then when it comes to range okay uh this Is winter range so don't expect the best Range in summer maybe you can add at Least 50 to 100 kilm so yeah but uh I Mean uh maybe this car should have Around 100 Kow hour I feel like it is a Bit thirsty and only a 4 Kow hour Whatever it has a gross capacity uh it's Maybe not enough yeah I feel like you You buy this big expensive car but then You don't get that great range but maybe People who buy BMV they don't care too Much about range so anyway I think That's going to be it for now I hope you Guys enjoy this video as always thank You for watching and talk to you Later
