GM hybrid or electric vehicles

When it comes to hybrid or electric vehicles, GM is already known for producing various vehicles, but the Electrified Corvette is something that we have yet to see. It would be fantastic to see a hybrid version of the Corvette on the road and the electric Equinox and Blazer, too. So, when will we see these electrified models? Let’s take a look at the latest news about the Chevrolet Corvette and the future of electric cars.
GM to produce Electrified Corvette
GM is readying an all-electric version of its venerable Corvette, but the upcoming model will still be a hybrid. General Motors has committed to sell only electric vehicles by 2035, a timeframe a couple of years off. The upcoming all-electric Corvette is expected to arrive in 2023 or 2024. The Electrified Corvette is likely to follow the performance versions of the Corvette due in 2021-2022.
A hybrid version of the Chevrolet Corvette will be introduced next year, but the all-electric model is planned for much later. Reuss has hinted that an all-electric Corvette is in the works. The Corvette has been around for 60 years, with eight generations of design. The company will sell the current generation of the Corvette and a battery-powered version in 2023. While GM has largely relied on the internal combustion engine for decades, it is now making strides to make their vehicles more environmentally friendly and efficient.
GM to offer hybrid version of Corvette
GM is developing a hybrid version of the Corvette and has also hinted that the hybrid version may come next year. A statement from GM President Mark Reuss on LinkedIn said that a hybrid Corvette is in development, but the company did not specify the specific model. The hybrid version’s interior will be similar to the standard Corvette, while the all-electric version will be all-electric.
The move from Detroit to San Francisco has sparked a lot of speculation. While GM has been working on a new Corvette since 2013, this is the first time that the car will be offered in this manner. The hybrid Corvette is expected to be fully electric by 2022. The move will be made possible due to the GM Ultium platform, which will be adapted to the electric Corvette.
GM to offer electric Equinox
The Chevrolet Equinox EV is the next step in GM’s $35 billion electrification program. This car will follow the Chevrolet Spark electric crossover introduced in 2013. The Chevy Equinox EV will have a touchscreen configuration similar to that of the Cadillac Lyriq. A new touchscreen configuration is also being added to the 2019 Equinox. It will feature an adaptive cruise control system and automatic braking. Other features of the new Equinox EV include lane assist. In addition, the 2019 ADAS package will include blind-spot alerts, a collision-avoidance system, and a surround vision camera.
The upcoming electric Corvette will have a hybrid powertrain and be available in a plug-in hybrid model. While GM has been pushing into the electric vehicle market for decades, it is still lagging behind its rivals. GM hasn’t sold more cars to U.S. consumers for nearly a century. In 2014, Toyota sold 114,000 more cars than GM.
GM to offer electric Blazer
GM is making a big push to go all-electric. Its CEO, Mary Barra, announced plans to introduce two more electric cars in the US in the coming years, the Chevy Equinox and Blazer EVs. While these are far from a final production version, they do represent a significant step forward for the automaker. We’ll probably get to see these vehicles in spring 2023.
General Motors has released some images of the new Chevy Equinox EV and the Chevrolet Blazer EV. The Blazer EV has a sleek new design, with thin lighting elements and a streamlined silhouette. Inside, it has a wide digital screen on the dash, and the steering wheel features a green stripe, indicating the presence of Super Cruise technology. This could be a big step towards a future of zero-emission vehicles in the US.
