This video was brought to you by Steinberg a better world planner Mr Green Camp power and Marcus Beale Yo what's up we are now in Oslo getting Ready for a little road trip So here you see much goosebill this is Just a model 3 Performance and today We're going to do something cool we will Try cam stream it's a new device coming Out soon a Kickstarter project that will Allow you to camp in what a 10 for Example outside the car and then you can Channel the hot or even colder depending On where you live I guess where you camp Towards the camp and whatever come to a Tent on the roof or somewhere else on The side of the car also and it's going To be pretty awesome I will test this For the first time I got some Instructions on how to do this but let Me show you the setup so we are now Pumping up the battery to 100 well let's Actually go in the back here first I Have I mean it's not necessary but I have got My Tesla actually you see here it's Hooked here and then use the OBD Splitter so I can then run this one for Scott my Tesla and this one which is um The sexy buttons I can run them Simultaneously I have brought some warm Clothes it's going to be minus 13 Degrees Celsius supposedly Some lights some boots some more lights
And then in the trunk I could show you what we got here We have the tent there also and here we Have some sleeping equipment but I will Be sleeping in the tent not inside the Car this time so that's going to be Interesting let me close this one so Yeah we'll use all the tricks we can Right now I have this one To insulate the roof We are also heating up the battery Charging at 100 because I needed to grab Some snack over here at Circle K And yes the plan is to drive to I guess Half yeah and then charge these are only 150 kilowatt charger this one I think It's a little bit well I guess the car Doesn't know about the the stuff on the Roof yet So we will see it was it claims charting Us but it's still charting a little bit More but we'll just reset everything now And then start driving it's going to be Quite late drive but this is the only Way I could do it we will just go over There and try to Camp inside I will show You there is some stuff you have to put Here that will channel the air out Through the window with another device And yeah I will show you eventually once We get set up so let's uh unplug and Then off we go We are on the moon now and holy crap it Is loud in here first of all we have
Nook and hot couple little R3 not R5 Tires and they are 20 inch And uh yeah I guess the tent on the roof Is also making some noise so yeah we're Driving at only 120 kilometers per hour Barely Legal Wow but you know we test the vision High beams every time you enable Autopilot This will actually come on you see here Under time and time it figures out he Wants to fire up the high beam and I Have lead bar I have super powerful uh Laser Elite Linear laser Elite 18 so it's freaking Cringy man every time it fires up the High beam so so what you want to do is You use sexy button and it has a feature Where you can disable like you see Here For now it's it's on auto and then we do Use the sexy button feature sexy button Has lots of cool features and it will Actually Force to force the auto high Beam off value and all the pilots this Is brilliant man it's super freaking Brilliant you have the sexy button and You can do lots of other stuff but okay Anyway yes now we're just gonna hammer It all the way to Um yeah I guess it's half yet but that's Um Oh I don't remember what that place is Called again

Extra addon that then makes this car a Heater or an AC unit for whatever tent You want to hook up oh I think it's about to be bright soon but Okay let me show you how I set up this So the first thing we have to do is to Configure HVAC So we have to use keep climate on the Guys who made the cam stream and the Tri-cample the problem is that it sends Uh air where it shouldn't so let's just Keep use keep climate and then we have To go for manual and then we only have This side here and we need a little bit Of airflow Like six should be okay And then you're supposed to turn it like This and now we're ready to mount this One here it's like a funnel or yeah So then we just align this probably look At the notch here And then Just align it against the event Like this roughly And then just put it in place There that's it and now you can feel the Airflow coming out here And then we had to go to Locks and then We have to disable this one close window Unlock because we need to open the Window And here you see one of the hoses this Is the short one the internal one it has Some insulation there to reduce heat
Loss so um we just need to mount it here And then we open the window all the way Down on the driver's side and then when We close the door The car will kind of shut off so we have To use a trick and then Push on the seat Yeah and then I feel that the airflow is Coming out And then I take this one Okay we have to connect it Like this It will just snap in Click Foreign there okay and then we align it To the window Foreign This is a prototype so I don't want to Push it too hard and then you just snap It in And now we set up We'll see This is what it looks like here we take Only from there over there And now we should have some heat in the Tent And welcome to my tent so you see here We have Hot air coming in we had the bed set up Here we have some equipment over there We have the storm bike lamp here Stone by pill over there Yeah let me check some stats now Wow USB a output local chat
Relative humidity Foreign Okay Um RPM S okay Good morning we've been camping here for Almost five hours and I calculated that We average roughly 1.8 kilowatt which is Actually kind of high so I need to find Out where was the heat loss because it Wasn't that nice and warm in the tent Was it heat lost because of the tent or Was it heat loss because actually Eventually after a while they keep Climate mode when it's kind of almost Dead or very low so I had very low fan Speed running so I had to turn off the Thing and I didn't bother going out Because every time you go out and open The door you have to you know close it Whatever is kind of clumsy so I just Turned off H back and then turn it on Again and use Camp mode and I think if You use camboard it goes back to Automatic and then you have air coming Out of other vents plus the vent we want So I think the car is nice and warm We're going to check it out ideally it Should have been cold in there and nice And War in there so but this is just Tuning that maybe can be done with the Sexy buttons maybe they can configure a Special mode for for cam stream or
Something or at least allow you to Control manually the events so um yeah But let's take out the thermal camera And check out what it looks like Well naturally on the side here we have Heat from the Sun but what I'm going to Look yeah this is this one look at the The holes okay fortunately the hose is In the shade whoa look at that that is a Massive losses wait wait there is not Even Sun hitting it look at that Here we have the answer Oh I also suspected that this is quite Massive and you see it's only around Zero degrees Celsius And we can see that we have I mean the Hose keeps around 25 degrees Celsius let Me check by the way if you look at the Hose near the exit or near the tent 25 degrees Celsius okay what about Closer to the car It should be hot there right Yeah oh look at this let me see 26 20s old 27. I'm not sure there's some places 30 Degrees Celsius in the shade in the Shade think about this This is massive loss the seriously need To fix this and they need to insulate The hose better this part here the the Cover I'm not sure what they call it the Camera let me see it's just a plastic Piece eventually it would be nicer in This

Creators of Camp Stream So you are John From are you from America I'm originally From America but I've been lost for a Long time I I actually live up in Northern Sweden in a small town called Orange was week You're Connally this one okay It's a little harder but okay I have to Also John so you how did you come up With this idea with the with a cam Stream absolutely so I'm a big time Camping fan since I live so far in Northern Sweden uh you know you have These long summer breaks that you get in Sweden and I'm sure you do here in Norway as well and and I wanted to go Camping with my wife and kids but it's Like every every night it would get down To five six seven degrees at night and My wife is a very let's say temperature Temperamental camper six degrees it's Not that cold yeah six degrees plus but Hey hey happy life happy life okay and So we had all this nice camping stuff we Want to go camping and I'm sitting there At our house waiting checking the Weather for a better better temperatures And it didn't come and so while I was Sitting there frustrated with all this Nice camping gear and a family and I Want to go we didn't get that Opportunity and so then I realized hey I Have a a nice CV with a big battery pack A very efficient HVAC system
You know why not take this uh awesome EV And utilize it in a new interesting way And that's taking camping and EVs and Putting it together and getting Camp Stream so that was the idea behind it Yeah well cool Um I think actually this is uh Interesting it's a diff a different way Of camping because I slept in the car Many times the car has some limitation When it comes to space and comfort Because some cars they don't have the Flat Flat when you fall the seats sure yeah You have that angle that you're sitting Yeah exactly so the hour of course Workarounds but still if especially if You want to sleep two people in a car You have to be uh yeah very good friends So so actually I think it's um okay I Found I can talk to you more about this Yeah we don't need to repeat this but I Mean the system is not perfect yet but It's still a prototype so it has room For improvement in both the hardware and Also I guess software maybe with some Help from the the sexy button guys so um I can say that I managed to adjust the Fan speed Okay all right Yeah okay you know why why choose this Version courses the one that you know You open the trunk and you can also put The tent in the truck you probably have
That you have experience with that right Absolutely so I I think you know It's definitely some big perks if you Want that big open space but I think the The camp modes limitations when you have A giant tent like that the amount of Time it takes to set that tent up to try And get that airtight seal all the way Around I mean there's definitely some Limitations compared to I would say Rooftop tent camping or like a smaller Tent uh where I think we're catering to A different Market than exactly what Those those bigger campers this still Gives you a decent amount of freedom to Kind of set up for the night stay for The night and then head off to your next Place the next day so yeah so I wouldn't Say that we're trying to directly Compete against them I think we're Trying to cater to a different uh future Segment we see growing yeah because uh When you have that trunk tent or Whatever it is called Um If you want to let's say uh go go Grocery shopping it's a big hassle right To to take sometimes you can basically Kind of like half shut it off so you can Leave that tent there okay Um but you still got to have to kind of Do this you know play the game of having The trunk open and getting that airtight Seal all around it you don't have the
The Mobility Freedom so I would say if You're going to camp for a few days and Set up shop then that's one way to go But I think us allows people to kind of Camp in a more let's say Um High Mobility EV glamping Freedom way I would say Um yeah well um it's pretty cool Um I think it has a potential and it has Its use You know hey I mean it I mean as a long Time Tesla beer and fan uh and and this Is years in the making and to come here And actually show my product to you it's A privilege so I'm really happy uh that You got to try it out and we will be Taking your feedback into consideration Oh yeah yep Um at least for me I think it's I like This product so I hope that you guys can Get enough backers and and produce this Because because I think there are lots Of potential buyers not only in Europe Or in the western world but also in the Eastern we're in Thailand I know lots of Thai people they actually camp in their EVs and I bet they would love to Camp Outside in tents and also get the Cooling or whatever they need and maybe Also electricity over there and also Thai people tend to buy lots of Accessories for their EVS I've seen so You need to expand to Thailand then you Know what I don't think it'll be hard to

Electric City Vehicles
EVs aren’t just passenger cars: you can now get around on quiet, zippy electric transit buses and even big-rig tractor trailers. They all have a lot in common, though: they’re powered by electricity, which comes from either a large rechargeable battery or a fuel cell that splits hydrogen molecules into electrical energy and oxygen.
Compared to their gas-powered counterparts, these vehicles produce far fewer greenhouse gases and other air pollutants. They also offer more acceleration and torque, which is great for city driving.
In many cases, drivers can go up to 330 miles on a charge (the equivalent of about 20 tanks of gasoline) and recharging is easy at home or at public charging stations. This essentially eliminates range anxiety, although some drivers with longer commutes or who live in apartments may need to plan their trips differently.
Ford
The Blue Oval is making a huge bet on EVs. The company has invested in a massive complex called BlueOval City in Stanton, Tenn., where it will assemble its F-Series trucks and advanced batteries. It will include a battery plant, key suppliers and recycling. It’s part of a bigger push for EVs in which Ford and South Korea’s SK Innovation are investing. The two companies will share technology and engineering and build vehicles together. They will make a range of EVs, including the Cadillac Lyriq SUV and GMC Hummer pickup (2023). Ford’s EV lineup is expected to grow significantly in coming years.
