This video was brought to you by AED Ro Planner cow Marcus be stormberg and B Componente yo what's up we are back at Elck and Valar and Mill Falcon yes so Volar I came back here uh I think this Is this the first time you work on Milla Falcon exactly the first time it must be An honor oh oh yes everyone is prepared You see I put on nice clean clothes even Unlike me but you see um there you guys Saw the previous videos there are some Problems with the Falcon there's Actually more things we could work on uh It depends you know if you're up for it Um okay let me let me do a quick walk Through now what what what is the Problem well the main problem is this One the trunk so Vol if you try to open We can see what the problem is here it Occurred when I run out of juice but I Think it was just a coincidence yeah so Looks like it's stuck it's starts to go Up peeping alarming but it's not going Up so it neither it wanted it couldn't Go up and it you can't close it so Inside the car you will see that it Reports it as Open yeah and also as a coincidence uh For for you guys who don't know the Trick um if you press and hold this Button here on the key fob yeah the Classic cars you actually get a key fob This One wa it works now ah it it didn't work
Then it didn't work so the 12vt was in Fact too low so I tried this trick it Didn't work okay so yeah it seems like As soon as the screen went dead when the Back the 12 Vol was too low then I Couldn't use this trick but that one the Back still did That but this was this was implemented Many many years ago that you can press And hold this One to open the charge port yeah yeah Okay so now we need to try to fix this Charge port uh sorry the the the the the Trunk the trunk and I'll also show you Something else if we do um let's see uh If we do this let just check here uh if You lock the doors the door handles will Pop I mean it will go in well actually They don't do it now because um the Trunk is open but Mo if you go inside And you lock the door from the inside That one works though if you lock it From the screen it Works and you will see That broken door handles yeah you see Here this One is permanently out you know you see Those Teslas on the highway and uh you See that one door handle is popped Out and you be like LOL so yeah that one Was uh we tried to fix it at uh at n's Place and seems like it's still a little Bit Troublesome when it comes to the Frun of see I also had problems open the
Front it's apparently it works now well Probably the same like with the charging Port if it was too low maybe they didn't Want it to open um maybe yeah that could Be the problem but but no no actually no When when uh we got the 12vt hooked up And we were even charging yeah um and I Saw that the voltage on the 12vt was one 3 13.8 when I pressed on the screen it Did not work at all we can do some Prevention and because it looked like There is some rust on the on the lock so We can oh Roost Roost here it looks Dry but let's check what's inside and I Can show you that the trick I did I Didn't know about this was cool silver At the live stream who told me under Here there is an emergency latch thing Or emergency for for The uh for the front in model X it's Different in the model X you know where You there was a in the front where where You screw on the what the heck is this Thing the toll hit there there was some Some strap you have to pull to open the Front so I think this is some kind of Safety issues that in case of an Emergency where the firefighters need to Cut the they need to access the front to Cut the the high voltage battery then You need to have access to the car so in Case of a crash and you can't open the Door there and you can't open the front
Then they might be in some serious o oh let's see ah Okay so it looks dry but it's also looks Quite um Rusty so I think we can or just Spray some uh some uh oil or um try to Clean it and then spray some oil okay it Can be a good prevention do you guys Have that uh that diagram that if it's Stuck you spray VD 40 if it's not stuck And it's supposed to be stuck you you Use duct Tape you Know Yes okay well okay so we need to just do A little service here so um oh yeah that One wasn't put back oh yeah you're Supposed to be back there okay um okay I Think I will do the the heavy work I I Will uh do the the the most difficult And spray it and I will uh ask ker do to Look at the trunk and Manas at the door Handle so we can do it quick fix yeah And I can also show by the way one of my Days one day if if uh my audience is up For it Um this one you know the triangle window It's Troublesome in Model S and when I'm Driving on a Motorway uh if I'm driving Over 100 km per hour uh if I push Somewhere over here uh okay there's wind Noise and then when I push here it goes Away I have same on my model X yeah you Have it yeah so this one is troublesome That one over there no sound no noise
From it but I remember 8 years ago or Something it was in and out of service Center because of this they tried to Adjust it you know it it's common Problem just like the door handle okay Yeah we can take a look at it so I heard That you need to adjust a little bit to Something so all right and then uh uh Just uh just just mentioning it since my Audience might be interested um let me See if I can replicate It now this one sometimes it Squeaks does on my wife's Model it's funny that every issue I Mentioned you already know about it or You have It and then what else is it yeah yeah Also another thing is that when I'm Driving um Um when I'm driving in Curves it sounds like there's a loose Screw in here really Yeah it's a bit annoying it's no big Deal Really yeah when when we walk on a trunk We can see if we can find this bad guy Yeah and also since we already at it um Ever since n changed the rare drivetrain Uh there was some kind Of uh there was an insulation problem or Some grounding problem yeah um he Changed it he changed the whole motor And now when I start driving I hear a Click and then when when I start
Regening I hear a similar click so it's Like click I heard it when you backed in Yeah you heard It so you know electric cars should not Make any noise some some noises could be Issues Yeah probably we have to RTI uh drive Shaft it's also easy fix okay it's just Normal not not a mistake so we can reti It and see if the nois has disappeared Yeah so other than that um I don't Remember other issues but uh I think Today we just have to focus on the most Important ones and then at least now I Showed the audience uh what we might Need to fix so uh you guys can spam the The comments and what you want to see Hm Interesting so B you took out the whole Uh uh I'm not sure what you call that Thing lock or latch I think that's what They call it Latch there are two latches right this Is one of them and then there's another One there um is this the the second one Or is it yes and which one do you know That button or that button oh it's it That latch yeah so just curious uh the The the handle on the inside of the in The passenger compartment does that Unlock this latch or that one it should Be that one Right uh or like this one here when you Pull the the wire inside I think it's
This one because it's like no mechanical Um wires I think it's mechanical wire Goes there it makes sense and then to Open the frun you have to then press This button that releases oh you push it A yeah yeah yeah you push it okay so if You see there was some schutz Oh maybe it's because it was like stuck Maybe it has never been clean Before and there is a like a micro Switch some I had on my model X that uh Uh my Frank was always closed but Sometimes I was getting message that It's open sometime so it was this um Micro switch which actually reports to The MCU to the screen that when the Frank is open or close So it seems like it maybe start failing Sometimes because when I was stuck there Uh I I didn't hear that you know this One is supposed to do some kind of maybe Uh no the switch is actually I think is Just to indicate if the Frank is open or Closed like uh when the loock is closed Or open so this one yes oh that one so This one must have failed sometime or Start making hiccups can Be well I would suggest you to To maybe to replace the the the whole Lock but we don't have today so I think We just uh do the good clean uh Lubrication uh put it back and uh hope For uh best if if it happens again so Definitely we order and and replace them
The whole lock yeah at least I know the Emergency procedure now anyway okay so Rard is going to uh work on the trunk And see enter the service mode It's trying to do some Calibration but this is interesting you See now that we are in service mode um You can see that here about the door Handle passenger rear handle presenting Your handle is trying to presentent so It's doing something there uh so there's An error uh I mean the door handle is Already out I can show you guys here They are out but the rare one is trying To do something and it's not doing it so Yeah we need to also check that One and here you see that Inside a Model S from uh 2013 we have a Little bit of Soundproofing a little bit of Soundproofing other than That American Steel or actually uh it's steel and Aluminium yeah and here with the Speaker okay so we have to pop out this One to get access to the door handle I've seen this before yeah yeah I Remember this we did it at uh and I See okay I think we found the problem so You see here we have the door Handle uh electronics and zoom in a bit You will see that there's some corrosion Going on there there it's a bit hard to See there but uh we can just show on the
On the same part same generation and This one is it's also corroded and it's Not working and you can see here that This one start corroding and then we get Some Problems so uh normally I think what Also uses used to break is there's a cog Wheel and there's a micro switch and a Cog wheel over there that also quite Commonly breaks but this time corrosion There so this one is also cut um lb they Don't have the repacement part but we Can just use the car for now now but uh In the future we also need to fix that One CU back on the front uh opener thing It's now been cleaned with a rust Remover so it looks better Now uh just haven't lubricated it Yet see how the micro switch is working When the lock is Closed uh it sends the signal that it's Closed when it's open then it's a single That is open okay I will use some uh uh Some white grease to to lubricate the Whole thing so it will not get stuck so Quickly try to install in the same Places as it was okay with some Lubrication there or yeah there some Lubrication and we try to install in Exactly the same place So it will not get stuck with front like With the back well I'm surprised that it Has been working for 10 Years and no major issues well till now
Maybe CU you know I use this a lot you Can see why because it has a big this is The classic frunk so fun fact Milan Falcon is the first generation to Norway And while did you know that look this is The big frunk but there they are two Different sizes so from 2014 the frunk Is still like this but it's a little bit Shorter even also with the rear wheel Drive yeah so if you measure the length Here to there versus 2014 you will see That 2014 is maybe a couple of cenm Shorter cool so I notic is one time when I was moving some some nimber task from One car to another and it didn't fit Suddenly in the other no I didn't knew That so that's why I use it a lot open Close open close a lot and it's been Working until now maybe it's a little Bit dry that's it so this is a through Me penetrating oil we'll put it on the Uh I going show you that we should call It the secondary latch oh wait this is Secondary this is the primary latch Maybe Um I think this um I think should be This one should be primary this is Secondary and now about the trunk the Stuck trunk so so just like in the serer Mile test there is this thing you pull Out oh okay I can't show there there There's a thing you pull out with a Wire and it's supposed to release the The trunk but it's not working so there
Must be something else that is stuck cuz The r Richard is trying to pull it now The wire and then volum I was trying to Open it but it doesn't work now how the Heck was I supposed to figure out this While I was Alone seems like at least that part I Couldn't solve it myself okay now the Only way is to do a full disassembly of The inside yeah R is uh taking out all The plastic pieces so in this uh process We might damage a little bit or I'm not Sure but uh well M the Falcon is so old Anyway we we are doing this we need to Repair it anyway so we just show you Guys what needs to be done Hallelujah the lift gate is open now Finally so um yeah Richard he knows that You have to dig deep in there and grab To something and then yeah release the Thing so now that it's open we can Figure out what's wrong I probably need To disassemble all this I'm not sure It's probably on that side not in this Side this is just a Hook okay so now so now the Larch Is wait it's Stuck y Again That in that state when it was was open But not fully open and then not Closed okay then it's Locked Latched let me open
It it makes some strange noise again oh So it's kind of working now but Oh we can't just we can't just leave it Like this because uh it might fail Again yeah it will yeah it always works At the workshop and then on the way home It it's not working Again okay let's test the Front all right doesn't seem to be Making any weird noises seems to be some Lubrication There and then to close the front you Preferably need to put one hand on each Side here I'm going to just go one hand Since I'm holding the camera so that one Seems Okay when it comes to the Trunk um we leave it partly open you see It works now But so we have uh the actuators or Whatever you call it the motors for Lifting up the trunk but then uh there Was a motor there is kaput so that motor Is supposed to pull the trunk in place When you close it so now when we close It but there's no button oh okay we just Have to lower it Manually and then so it it Locks and yeah so we can then lock the Car well actually I think my the door Open yeah door is Open but at least now we can just lock The car so previously when the trunk was Open I could actually not lock the car
That was interesting you can not lock The car from the key fob you could not Lock the car from the app but if you Went inside the Car and you use this one here you could In fact lock the car but then how the Heck do I lock it from the inside and Then they go out again right but at Least now we can lock it so we just Going to keep it like this little bit Exposed now until we get the part and Then I'll come back for another episode Okay now we inspect under the car we We're actually looking for some uh some Noise in the in the suspension but um we Discover something discover something That we might need to do uh service on The battery it looks like it was a maybe A small damage here maybe not but or Just we here yeah it's a lot of uh um Mud and s and stuff and stuff um if You take the the okay can can you poke It with the this one you can see that This it's full of look at that Wo so it just yeah just comes from the From the Road and uh why it's uh uh I say why It's dangerous because it's many um uh Valves under the under the car around The battery um in case of fire they Say um so when under this uh rubber we Have a lot of um uh dirt and it's Uh getting or it's staying open a little Bit and especially dangerous in the
Winter time when we get uh a lot of salt Water it's uh ice and water opens more And more and more those Valves and uh When it's I say staying open we get Water and and moisture inside the Battery which I would say not very good It can uh it can be that the battery Will stop working oh but so what uh Okay uh there's supposed to be some kind Of cover here but it's uh just yeah um When Tesla upgraded the batteries they Put a big cover here to to protect uh Against splashing Waters from the from The tire and they reduced the amount of The of the Valves uh I don't remember exactly how Many uh vales was originally but I think It's like more than 20 on one side and After upgrade it they left uh uh maybe Um half even less I think maybe seven Eight Wes on on each Side which means that when I'm driving Now or if uh someone runs this car from Marus Bill it could stop and fail any Time and during driving you can suddenly Hear the car shutting down Marcus I'm Going to give you a call you oh but Is there something you guys can do now Hot fix Or how how will you fix this no this Thing takes a little bit time uh so we Have to plan It okay we found uh a couple of uh not So good things here yeah so one uh thing
Is that uh th road is very very Loose who that is yeah I noticed that For a long long time um the car has done Around 20,000 km since two over two Years now so this could happen over time Yeah think natural usage so slack can You do that again I'm going to go close And See what the so if this was a the AO Control what kind of fault will it get Uh I think it's very on the on the limit To get like um uh number three it means Uh not roal oh yeah okay so uh Ricard couldn't find the more fults so Thod is very worn out um height sensors Uh for air suspension is uh stuck on Both sides so would be nice to get them Uh to give them a good clean okay so They don't need to be replaced uh not For now we can clean them and check if It's uh back to working condition okay So um um since this car is barely legal Uh we have decided to let the M Falcon Stay here mhm and also that gives you Guys time to uh do the repairs when you Have time yeah so We as as we see we replace going to Replace the ti Road that's very Important and we see if we have time to To do the service on the battery until You need the car next week yeah because Someone's going to rent it and if if the Battery goes Kaput that's not good no not funny at
All yeah so we need to fix it get it in Shape at least so it's road legal and Safe yeah and uh yeah but um so okay so You see if I was a regular customer and We discover this then I would uh Probably borrow uh a car from you guys Yes uh we have four uh um like um free Rental cars if uh if it would be the Customer and we have a free car we could Uh we could be happy to to borrow it for Free and then what kind of what kind of Cars it's electric right yes of course It's electric so we have uh Volkswagen Up two Volkswagen up uh eolf and Nissan Leaf Leaf wa don't you uh what which What you leave 30 Kow 30 but but so you Don't have the thing r Anymore uh not anymore I think because It was so how to say old technology and People how to say they even don't know How to put the key and where to put the Key and so no fast charging so it was a Trouble for us to explain n now we have To do this and this yeah well so yeah in More normal circumstances I will borrow One of the uh cars uh for free Fortunately uh yeah but now uh we just Leave it here and then uh we're going to Actually shoot some other video also With um uh with Valar uh so you will Just give me a lift back home yes and Then wait but then how do I get back Here next time then uh I have to figure Out something we find out something yeah

EVs Are Great City Vehicles
EVs can be great city cars because they offer instant thrust, excellent technology geared to the road, and are often less expensive to run than traditional vehicles. They also make sense in the cities where air quality is most at issue, since electric motors produce far fewer pollutants than their combustion-engined counterparts.
A handful of companies have gotten into the game in recent years, with Tesla leading the way with the Model S and the Model X. More recently, Ford partnered with Chinese automaker JAC Motors to build a new battery electric vehicle that will be sold as the C-Max Energi. While the car isn’t as fast or as spacious as a Model S, it looks quite good and could be a decent alternative for people who need a larger vehicle for family hauling or hauling cargo. And the lack of a big engine means it can take up less real estate in the floor of the cabin, making it possible to have more room in the back and more cargo in the trunk.
While we’re still a long ways from getting to 100% clean energy, many of us are already using EVs as part of our daily commute.
