This video was brought to you by a Battery planner cam power Marcus Beale Steinberg and Bill componente Yo what's up we're now in Oslo and yes We're going to do it we will do 1 000 Kilometer challenge with the electric Pickup truck the first time we test Electric pickup truck And it's freaking huge it's three it's 5.37 meters long And uh yeah let me see this is by the Way the extreme version so the extreme Version is something you get in Norway Which include this spoiler I'm not sure What the heck it does give you more Downforce in the front wheel even though This is rear wheel drive I'm not sure Man we have lead bar Oh yeah it's the Viking lights oh yeah And then we have these spoilers on the Side Oh I don't know what they're called man And that's it this one does not have the The bed closing thing here so yeah I Wonder how that affects the consumption And then okay look in the back Oh yeah we have space in the back also We have 230 volt Outlet here and also Travel out in the back plus in the front Yeah And their phone looks like this It is uh okay but you know this is the I Don't know what you call it the most Sparse equipped car I've tried recently

Um you have electric adjustable seat Okay that's fine let me get inside the Car There's no Uh there's no Auto stair there's no Lane Assist there is no cruise control There's no adaptive cruise control there Is no navigation Top speed is only 120 kilometers per Hour Um what else yeah I have cars kind of Working but it doesn't show me many Variables at least we see still the Charge because this one is the fuel Gauge so and the car doesn't even show Any sensible consumption numbers so this Is going to be interesting uh luck yeah And huh do we have a I thought we had a gray car not the blue Car The Sounds there the stereo here is Um other than that yeah okay Um So I've estimated that this challenge is Going to take 13 and a half hours the Consumption at Vmax is going to be 400 Watt hour per kilometer we're going to Take the Norway route because the storm Hunts is still here and it's going to Rain cats and dogs around your debug and I don't want to get stranded there in Some uh flooding there there's lots of Flooding going on now in Norway all over The place yeah so and also in Sweden so

But I have discovered something This car has the Chinese bug Let me show you what I mean Previously we were getting 200 amp and 75 kilowatt Here at ionity we get only 68 kilowatt And not 200 amp Uh why Because This is an 800 volt charger the Tesla Supercharger was 400 volt For some reason I've seen this in the Hongshi Hongchi if you're charging at 800 volt Chargers it will not get the maximum Speed but as long as I was charging in 400 volt charger which is Cam power and Tesla Supercharger I would get maximum Speed and since this is from Psych which Is Chinese then That's the case so which means that now We know I have to stick to cam power Which are actually the I have to see it Also be picky on the camper but most Camper is fortunate for now they are 400 Volt Or Tesla super order Jeez So yeah I'm missing I think it's time For me to um Find a spot No I think it's too dark now yeah it's Still too dark I need to find a spot Like this right with the with a car in

Delta uh hyper charger will be getting Only 68 kilowatts roughly 10 slower so Now we need to stay here and Camp here Instead of the slower one so yeah the Chinese bug But over here I'm not sure what else to Do it's raining a little bit you see how To park like this because I'm not sure The problem is that if I back up Uh I might have to back up past this Point so since this night and there's no One here then I just park like an idiot Yeah well another thing okay whatever so Um yeah now we uh stay here maybe or Maybe a McDonald's is open if not tongue Is not open I have to go all the way to The gas station there All right next stop is going to be a Supercharger Lebanese 179 kilometers From here So yeah is that possible yeah I think so Um We just have to charge to around 85 or 90 this looks a bit weird you see uh Seems like Tesla did not take an account This screen here Um because it's a little bit smaller Than maybe most screens nowadays but Okay but we have we are now taking 72 Kilowatt at 80 it's not throttling now Right around 80 but um it's still going Okay we we actually received 76 kilowatt Flat until around 79 and I even have the Heater on

Whatever we like we can go a little bit Back and forth so yeah that's the the Downside of Norway route is that we have To drive slower we have lower speed Limit there's no 120 kilometers per hour Zone here unlike in Sweden but the Upside is that we have more charges and We cannot go a little bit back and forth So yeah now I will just uh chill a bit Over here well actually chill a bit we Have 50 minutes of chill time here Oh Hmm you know I remember MythBusters Tested this that if you open The bed there if this one stays open Supposedly MythBusters figured that that The efficiency is better and it makes Sense because if you close this there Are some turbulence and I don't know how The airflow is but I can imagine that There is some turbulence here but when You open it then you reduce some of the Turbulence so maybe we should drive like This but I'm not sure if it's allowed to Drive like this and what is it safe well There we don't have any cargo right and I mean the taillight is already on the Side there so Um Yeah okay I think I need to close the Lid Okay we're back on the move again uh This session was around one hour long Yeah

Yeah I deduct a little bit for the extra Charging time but we are currently at 750 kilometers and time 925 so to Simplify things now we take the current Time and we add one hour and 25 minutes So we are currently at 10 hours and 50 Minutes But we have uh basically full battery Here almost so let's go hammer it the Same route and then back again All right this is the last starting stop Now I just have to figure out um we have To drive 86 more kilometers uh so I Don't need to charge just enough with Maybe five percent margin and then get Back to the city Yeah but the traffic is increasing now It's um what's the time now it's yeah It's almost 11 on Sunday morning oh oh Oh okay quick pit stop go to the Restroom and then we get ready Okay I did the calculation uh we can go To strong Lucian back again and then go To Oslo and that's 105 kilometers we Have a little bit too long distance but That's fine we will just charge extra And I worked out that we have to charge Five minutes extra we will of course the Doctor that's for convenience and then We need to charge to 50 and then we're Good to go so yeah a little bit more and Then we go for a minute what's the time Now by the way okay uh also including All the deductions we have to take the

Beforehand I would of course avoid I Honestly I would plan my starting stop Slightly differently and then we could Possibly be one or maybe in five minutes Faster because we actually stayed around Half an hour at the only I saw it it was 32 minutes so that means that roughly we Lost three minutes there by charting Slower rather than choosing a Tesla or Supercharger instead right so I have now Decided the dictator has decided to Round it down to 13 and a half hours I Didn't even ask the live stream people Because that's what dictators work right So yeah so 13 and a half hours um how Fast is it um it is actually as fast as A Tesla Model as plot pulling a bit Trailer oh okay for the trailer it's uh They were growing slower but the Consumption was even lower I think I I Don't know the consumption I have to Calculate the consumption afterwards by The way Um because the consumption showing in The display is always wrong with 186 man But actually the old robust beat this Huh a freaking We were beaten by the short bus oh Man okay but at least we beat the shitty Cars like on period e and I3 and those Cars yeah okay eqv but that wasn't Really cold winter yeah I bet if I did It convene in summer it would be way Faster

But uh yeah at least now we have set the Bar this is the first electric pickup Truck we test and from now on we're Gonna test more hopefully soon who knows When and we will see how much faster the Other ones are but I can tell you that Based on this test now and based on yeah All the tests I've done with this uh With the pickup truck the biggest Weakness here is not that we don't have Adaptive cruise control or that this Area is not sounding great the biggest Weakness here is that it is charging so Slow it has about 90 kilowatt hour Battery but it charges slower than other Cars with smaller battery even so this Car should charge at least 150 or 200 Kilowatts or at least 500 amp limit then You'll have roughly 180 kilowatt limit So Yeah and then it makes it somewhat uh Useless for some use cases and it Depends if you want to buy this car and Haul a caravan on long trips forget About the man is you have to charge for One hour every time and then you can Only drive well I'm not sure how far uh Maybe just 100 150 kilometers before you Need to charge again So if you don't mind then okay go ahead But it would be better if you bought a Tesla even a model y or uh maybe an an I Um ID3 no I'm not it id4 maybe id4 GTX Or something you know they charge way

Faster uh and they're also more Efficient which means that the total Efficiency for the whole car plus Trailer Plus Caravan is way better but If you're only driving a pickup truck Locally to have people in the back then You have a little bit or if you're a Contractor you don't drive long Distances and you don't go in too many Places where you need all-wheel drive Uh then this pickup truck works just Fine but just keep in mind that it is Very basic it lacks lots of convenient And practical features here and I also Feel like it is thirsty for for a pickup Truck okay pickup truck probably needs To be thirsty because of its size and Shape But I feel like they could have done Something more you know they could have Made a franc for example uh all the Other pickup trucks on the market they Have a freaking big trunk a frunk and You saw here that the front area or the Trunk I mean the hood on the hood there Was plenty of space like I feel like Moxes didn't even try to make a front They didn't try to make the car Efficient or give it some space or yeah So they just basically took a fossil uh Pickup truck and they just electrified It I wonder if there is a T90 a fossil T90 in China and then this one is called Et90 or T90 EV which is just forcefully
