DSNY – A new fleet of EV refuse trucks is being installed to help the New York City Department of Sanitation meet its Clean Fleet Plan. The funding announced today will support the purchase of seven all-electric refuse trucks.
These investments will help advance the transition to a greener transportation system and support the agency’s goal of operating over 5,000 electric vehicles by June 2023. In addition, the funds will support the installation of 315 charging stations across the city.
