Electric City Vehicles Cars Power
Electric City Vehicles Cars Power
As a national leader in clean transportation, the United States leads the world in EV sales and production. Across the country, consumers are embracing electric vehicles to help protect our climate and make our cities more efficient.
Thousands of Americans already drive EVs every day, and they’re growing in number as governments provide incentives and regulations for a cleaner, more affordable and safer transportation system. But as EVs continue to grow, more people and businesses need to have access to charging infrastructure for their cars and other electric vehicles.
For a driver, having dependable access to charging can mean the difference between driving an EV and choosing an alternative transportation option like a hybrid or gas-powered vehicle. That’s why Earthjustice is working to ensure that the Public Utilities Commission in California and other states build more charging infrastructure to support the millions of drivers who are ready to go electric.
We’re also working with a wide range of stakeholders, including automakers and dealerships, to promote the benefits of EVs to consumers. Our goal is to ensure that EVs are available to all who want to drive them, regardless of where they live or how much space they have at home or in their garage.
Today, there are 18,000 residential, commercial and public charging stations installed around the country. But if we want to reach the full potential of electric vehicles, we need a coast-to-coast network of chargers that is easy and convenient for consumers to find and use.
