This video was brought to you by Steinberg a better world planner Mr Green Camp power and Marcus Beale Yo what's up we are finally back in Norway and behind me here you see the Green Tesla Model as plaid and in this Video we're going to do 1 000 kilometer Challenge through Sweden in Winter and We will see will this one be the fastest Ever most likely not but it will still Be a very good time so right I'm now Chopping up on the cam power charger Back to 100 while the car is smoothish Welcome to grayscale land and welcome to Schmutzelan Um we have Scan my Tesla here we have 99.7 we are Actually taking 12 kilowatt oh wait the Car's been saying five minutes remaining Okay okay actually at this moment the Yoke makes perfect sense because we just Have very open here you know normally When I shoot video how to kind of you Know the steam will be in the way and I Have to move my camera around the Steering wheel but here it actually Makes sense yes I agree okay anyway The plan is to drive all the way from Oslo to Waterbury in a single charge uh That is 360. no yeah okay 360 kilometers And if we look here also according to Scama Tesla I have almost 92 kilowatt Hours that means that I can average 255 Watt hour per kilometer

We will see if that will be enough then All right so live stream is up and Running yeah we are still interesting You see here The car claims 27 kilowatt which is what We get from the charger but we are Actually inputting only 11 kilowatts so The best goes into heating up the Battery which is actually Advantage for Us but whatever okay so we'll wait until They finish charging and then we'll also See when wherever it's time there okay It will be right before midnight before We start yes all right Okay just like the model 3 you say it Says charging a plate but if you look at The charger over there well okay Whatever it's still charging you can see Here it's still charging So um Yeah now we are just actually we're Still pumping in something but here you See that we have 92.8 kilowatt hour well Look at yeah I also they heard it the Palladium which includes the the plaid And the long range you know the latest Generation it has higher voltage but Um it has 100 100 kilowatt hour gross Capacity the The Raven had a 102 Kilowatt hourglass capacity so two Kilowatt hour less so I'm expecting it To be able to pull maybe 92 kilowatt Hour after losses but anyway we will Wait until midnight and then we start so

I'm not gonna wait uh until the car Stops charging we are already at 101 Anyways yeah Foreign [Music] Thank you [Music] We are now involved by getting oh what The heck if you're getting only 157 Kilowatts what [ __ ] the car did not Preheat the battery before Nine nine nine nine nine where's the 250 Kilowatt hour per hour We're supposed to Get wait is there something wrong with This thought no I don't think so Uh or is it Uh Wait slowly oh it slowly ramps up Okay 160 kilowatt now Oh oh this is not good I was expecting 250 kilowatts I mean the other Teslas Are going straight up to 250 kilowatt Not this one for some reason Are you slowly ramping up now uh Oh yeah oh yeah is it okay it has just a Slight slow ramper but now we now we're Cooking now we're cooking oh yeah almost 250 wait wait we're taking 256 from the Charger but then we only get two okay so The the remaining 15 kilowatt is Actually going into heat right now Heating up the battery It's a Combination of uh I believe it's the Motors because you see here uh powerful

Inlet is going up which that is an Indication that it's used in the motors Just like in the model 3. it doesn't Have a dedicated battery heater anymore And then it's also using the heat pump So it's actually the triple Motors plus The heat pump sucking 15 kilowatt to Heat up the battery quickly and okay It's taking 240. well okay I'm not going To complain but I have to hurry I have To hurry go to the restroom now Quick view outside oh it's quite windy We have Tailwind actually wind from the North now uh Northwest so you see here The V3 supercharger how is Marcus Beal I'm not sure what they're digging over Here are they putting on the Chargers I'm not sure but yeah we are the only One charger here it was kind of Qualified actually it's not that quality Six degrees Celsius but it's windy so We're actually almost done charging wow Okay right now the car estimates four Percent of the Rival uh I think I would Just go for Ion at the um yeah over There I symbolic so we see here We now receiving 150 kilowatts I Estimate that we need 50 with eight Percent margin uh so we have stayed here For 12 minutes so far and we are going To okay 30 minutes roughly and we're Going to leave in just a minute or two That's it 15 minute charting stop after Three hours of driving and then we have

To drive Over an hour for the next starting stop Okay let's see now 740 kilowatts supposedly Okay look here how many kilowatt do we Get 700 Oh [ __ ] [ __ ] Oh Okay okay oh Man when it comes to Auto high beam they Are [ __ ] like is I've been flushed that So many times today it's freaking Blitzkrie look at that there's a truck Coming he's gonna flash at me it's gonna Fly look like it happens all the time Like the car turns on the light too late It flashes on and off because of some Road signs look how late it turned on it Could be a moose party right in front of Us they couldn't see it It turns yeah it is so bad man it's Super cringe the only problem is that if I want to use manual I'm not used to the Button and then I tend to turn off too Late manually so uh yeah for now I'm going to be flashed again there okay Okay okay Oh so I don't know man how to deal with This uh Yeah I think for now I would just have To accept being flashed at and that just Use Auto high beam until I get used to The whole manual on off uh yeah okay

Yeah and then they flash at me yeah Whatever okay I got used to it now We are now at the concrete surface and Normally it would be quite noisy in the Car right especially in Teslas in the Past But as you can hear it's not that noisy Really uh I have 19 inch nuke and hook Up later R5 tires and they're I measure Them to be very quiet and and also it Has the acoustic foam inside so it tends To help for reducing the rumbling so um Yeah okay I need to change lane usually The left lane here is not as rumbling as The right and you can kind of hear it But I will also test Active noise canceling so right now it's Off now it'll be interesting to see how Stuff is recorded because I might feel a Difference let's try here okay I'm gonna Go back to this Lane All right and then Now I enable it Huh There's almost no different let me try To talk a little bit on and off [Music] [Music] Foreign This is the halfway point where I Slightly past the halfway point and he Has taken less than four and a half Hours to get a wow impressive stuff also Another thing that is impressive is the

Voltage here so my concern is that it's A it's an ionic it's not a V3 Supercharger but we are actually taking 192 kilowatts well yeah you see Um this is kind of weird okay the car Takes 203 kilowatts from the charger Which is okay but then um 11 kilowatt Goes into heating of the battery but we Arrive at nine percent so ah the car did Not preheat uh and spend all before we Got here so that's weird because I've Seen other Tesla's model 3 for example Would uh use some of that energy to heat Up the batteries it seems that the Battery is not in optimal temperature Right now or I'm not sure but whatever Okay so uh this is the drill we we just Turned around here Um I guess I will let the car decide Yeah I will figure out how much we need On the return now so but now we have the Headwind on the way back but actually I Found out that the car's estimation is Actually very very good so maybe I'll Just try to follow that one if me and The car agree on the estimation then we Go for it Oh look at that speed that is this is Actually not that far off uh a V3 Supercharger and I wonder if we are Charging a little bit slower in the Beginning will we get a flat the Charging curve but okay 208 kilowatt I'll take it because you might be

Wondering hey but why didn't you go to a V3 supercharger well the V3 supercharger Is at homestod which is a kind of long Detour away from the main road but here We are literally driving right past here So we just take a quick detour a very Quick detour and then we plug it in and Charge and I think uh summary is that It's not that bad oh wow look at that Yeah we're still getting 210 kilowatt Yeah I'll take it I'll take it Okay it's quite windy but only six Degrees Celsius not too cold if I wait Uh one more day then it's going to be Less wind but a lot colder around zero Degrees Celsius you can see here How windy it is and we are going that Direction the way back fortunately the Tesla has very good drug coefficient so It's not that much affected by wind yeah So we'll see then yeah on the return wow This is a nice color I'm getting used to It now oh it's so windy over here [ __ ] And yeah if you see this badge don't try To raise it There is a 99.9 chance that this car Will outrun you All right on the way back now we're Going to hear a lot of whistling noise Because it seems like there's some Whistling noise coming from the uh right A-pillar or something So I'm not sure uh yeah I seem to come From that side but we have quite strong

Wind here So yes we are now cruising at the a Speed limit plus vit as always yeah So uh let me see what is this this is Kind of clumsy I I what I don't like About this new user interface is that You don't see any trip meter here really You only see this navigation here it's Kind of locked and then this one is the Speed yeah behind why I just happen to Be behind the Passport because I need to have that Passport ready in case there is a Passport control so you actually have to Go in trips it you know in the model 3 And model y you have the cards you can Swipe but here you have to go here to See that we have 301 watt hour per Kilometer okay it's going to do it's Going to lower yeah but whatever so yes Now it's uh almost five in the morning So hopefully by the time we arrive in uh All uh Vol bag it's going to be a bright Ish outside What you doing [Music] We are now at the world bike I arrive With one percent yes we're gonna go deep But oh look at that every time now it Ramps up kind of slow Hmm Okay but okay it's time for some food Now Okay so after three months in Thailand

With delicious Thai food it's time for Double sausage penetration Wait I have to go soon what Wow we have been charging for 12 minutes And it was hovering at 247 kilowatts Quite crazy for a while I missed it but Yeah the people in the live stream they Said that it was 247 kilowatt from 10 to 25 percent All right that was very impressive Um so I calculate we need 45 percent And you see here yeah Uh that should be enough we will charge This for a couple of more minutes and Then actually I have to eat this one While driving but fear no more we have The Tesla super well we have them we Have uh test the autopilot yeah [Music] We are now at Hog's top this is the last Charging stop uh yeah charging there's a Slight problem I'm going to show you First uh how it is whoa we're getting 246 kilowatt oh Okay we have roughly 10 15 more minutes Here as usual and then we have to go Again so now I have to charge a little Bit extra maybe because I'm going home Uh let me see uh Oh no Yeah roughly there that's close in my Home so I think I need to talk to Roughly 50 but there's a slight problem

Because I have lost my wallet how the Heck is that possible try to look Everywhere now Did I accidentally put it somewhere I Was a little bit stressed at water bike Is there a possibility that I left the wallet And volleyball in that case I need to go Back for it wait naturally it would kind Of fall down here somewhere right This is so weird I need to I need to do A full search here could it be here no What what the heck happened I looked Through my storm bike jacket everything It's not here uh Maybe I need to call Circle K Vibe and Ask them Okay I remember now I tend to do this Here's the wallet I put it here and then I put the camera here so you will have Okay angle and then I totally forgot About it and then it slid under here Holy [ __ ] okay good thing we don't have To go divided by all right all right uh Now okay 200 uh we have to leave so this Is crazy man So not on the way from Oslo to Viber That's 360 kilometers I noticed that uh The car actually reported 370 kilometers To Wild back which means that this car Over ports Distance by 2.8 we will do The uh the corrections but it means that We have to count to 1028 kilometers and then because we

Don't see any decimals on the trip here What we're going to do is that once this One hits uh 928 kilometers Is that a Porsche 928 is that the model Yeah 928 we reset here and then we will See decimal here and you can count down Here yes that's the plan by the way but We should I think we have to leave soon Well actually we should have plenty Enough juice now to uh go I want to Finish one one thousand kilometer Challenge but I'm actually going to that Supercharger v32 product cleavage and I Will do a charting test so right now I'm Charging roughly five minutes extra for Convenience so I can go straight there Uh and that means that we should deduct Five minutes because we could have left Now but just for practical Reasons I'm Doing another test right after this one Uh we will charge a bit extra yeah so uh You guys probably understand how this Works right so yeah we charge a bit Extra so okay I'm not sure how much we Need but uh we stay here a little bit More yeah this is pretty cool oh yeah I Like this one the green oh yeah [Music] [Applause] [Music] All right [Music] Foreign [Music]

Kilometers we have to reset to nine at 9 28 but actually when it popped to 928 It's actually 927.5 so to wait a little Bit and then reset Over there 928 okay wait wait [Music] 500 meters Okay reset Go Oh yeah Man you see it's two degrees Celsius Outside and I noticed something already Since last night was that normally in Other Teslas like model 3 Model y I set The temperature to 22 degrees Celsius And Uh it works fine and it's nice and warm But here even at 22 degrees Celsius I Feel a bit cold on my knees here I can Feel like a cold chill like there's Lucky okay wondering is this one Blocking the the evidence no it's Actually not it's fine really so there's Events here actually reflecting up here Some some weird [ __ ] going on so I feel Like the airflow in this one is not as Good as the model 3 and model y because Those cars are 21 degrees Celsius it's Nice and comfy over here but here Nope unfortunately But yeah when it comes to the yolk wheel I feel like when we are just cruising Like here in 1 000 kilometer challenge Once you're on the motorway then the

Yoke makes perfect sense you just have To get used to this button here but it It makes everything nice and clear you Can see the dashboard and everything you Can see the passport And the yoke is not really a problem but Once you go go off the highway and you Have to go in roundabouts or Park back Up the car towards a supercharger then The Yoke and the lack of uh turn signal Stock in a static location makes it kind Of clumsy All right here's the countdown we Actually have 12 minutes of charging Deduction 9990 9991 look here 9992 9993 9994 9995 9996 [Music] -997 998 A nine nine nine nine nine nine nine Nine one thousand Wait wait time nine hours and ten Minutes whoa okay consumption 255 watt Hour per kilometer wow All right we're back home so let's take A look at the result this time you see That 910 is actually not the fastest Time for a charging car at least okay uh

The es8 is battery swap it's kind of a Special case but you see that the Fastest one is eqs 450 but that was done In summer and it's a rear wheel drive Even so actually this plaid here is the Fastest uh winter run that is very Impressive if you scroll down you see That I guess the closest one for winter Run is like maybe the BMV I4 kind of or The eqs ish or ev6 that's a good one Yeah winter run 60 degrees is very Similar to what we have now and it was Uh yeah 45 minutes slower than the Plaid Okay I mean the plot is more expensive But remember that you have 1040 1020 Horsepower triple motor here so um I actually assumed that if this was Summer uh it would be lower consumption And then we would probably be around for 10 minutes faster if especially if this Is long range not the The Plaid so then We are talking about nine hours straight Yeah it sounds crazy how the heck can it Match es8 well the esa needed to swap Several times and also I could not leave The car when I did the swap so I think I Had to do a quick one I don't remember What was the problem with es8 but we are Getting into some kind of limits here in Physical limits also when you go that Fast but uh yeah and then when it comes To the consumption okay some people Might think it's a bit high and I agree It's semi high but remember that it was

Quite windy today and when you have so Strong wind a side wind normally has a Negative impact on the consumption the Crosswinds and also when you have Tailwind and then headwind that's also Negative versus if it wasn't that windy So just bear that in mind if it was not Too windy today even at six degrees Celsius it would be better consumption So the driving condition today was Actually not the best but car managed to Do it so well mainly because it was Charging fairly fast actually very fast And also because The the consumption was not too bad and The aerodynamics is quite good on this Car so yes eventually I'm going to do The same test with model S long range Palladium and that one should be faster Than the Plaid so I think that's going To be it for now I hope you guys enjoyed This video as always thank you for Watching and talk to you later

Electric City Vehicles Cars Power

Electric City Vehicles Cars Power

A growing number of cars are being powered by electricity. They include hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) and fully electric vehicles, or battery-powered cars.

EVs typically cost more than gas-powered cars, but they offer significant energy savings. They also are more environmentally friendly and have fewer moving parts. They can be refueled at home with electricity or other clean fuels.

They are often easier to maintain than gas-powered cars. They usually don’t need oil changes, tire rotations or tune-ups.

Some vehicles, such as the Tesla Model S and Chevy Bolt, have a battery-powered system that automatically recharges the vehicle’s batteries when they are not in use. This saves money on maintenance and keeps battery costs down.

These systems can be used at homes, workplaces, and public charging stations. They also provide a way for utility companies to figure out how much power they might need as EVs grow in popularity.

The simplest type of EV charger is called vehicle-to-load, or V2L. It taps into the power stored in a vehicle’s battery to run household tools or other appliances when the vehicle is not in use.

There are several ways to generate electricity for an EV, but one of the most efficient is called regenerative braking. The regenerative braking system in a vehicle can use the brakes to regenerate energy, which is then sent to the battery. This saves a lot of energy in the long run, and it’s a great way to help reduce global warming.
