This video was brought to you by a Battery planner cam power Marcus Beale Steinberg and Bill componente oh damn Um I just passed out because I was Really tired Um we pulled out here at 4 52. it's now 7 47 I slept three hours this is the longest Nap ever oh uh and also when we Pull out I had 20 29.6 kilowatt hour we spent two and a Half kilowatt hour almost okay hopefully We can make it to the end point yeah Um Or what we can do is as a compensation Because we also cooled down the battery A little bit I wonder if there's a charger on that Side where is it uh Um okay but I I need to get ready now Yeah and then we calculate how long we Stay but we still have roughly three Hours so far All right we are back on the move again Uh this is a slight disadvantage because We have more rain now well actually no I Think it's more or less the same it's Supposed to rain around here anyway but Yeah I went back on the highway at the 750 one almost 52 so it was more or less Three hours There's a slight piece of vomit there's But I was camping at because we lost two Kilowatt hour but that doesn't take too

Long to charge back up but we've also Lost roughly five degrees Celsius in the Battery but I considered this nap very Important because I was really tired so It's not safe to keep driving for no Reason so if we would compensate maybe We can say that we deduct one minute or Something yeah I don't know if you guys Agree but okay but I did the calculation Based on 25 kilowatt hour left and 52 kilometers to go uh we can make it There even the car says well it's always Opposite but no I think it's more like Five percent at the arrival so all right No harm done right [Music] We are now at the halfway point Oh yeah we have so many super trailer Friendly stalls here oh yeah but okay Yeah this is good um I think I'll figure It out we have to go deep like five Percent deep uh because then you get 150 Kilowatt instantly and then it goes up Now 190 kilowatt is still heaven So um in the past I went on longer legs This time on the way back and we're Gonna go short the legs uh hopefully That pays off and this is perfect split 69 kilometers here and that means a Hundred other is 73 kilometers on the Next leg to to water bike and then by Doing this I can ride on the 250 Kilowatt wave the only downside is that There will be more detours exiting the

Highway and stuff like that but Um fortunately over here we have plenty Of Super Target store you can even see It here in the picture look at this huh Look at these ninjas stuff my man okay Which means that no unhitching no waste Of time or anything so yeah that is the Plan I already calculated we we could Charge with 35 and make it there with Five percent uh or maybe I'll just make It 40 yeah so over here this is probably The location I will shoot Um the thumbnail so let me see now we Have to get the match with Bill yeah Since he's my sponsor we need that one In the picture Uh this one is a nice location because You can stay far away like this maybe I'll have it slightly more this one so So it looks big right oh yeah oh yeah And the filter on here we go [Music] [Music] We arrived a little bit more juice than Expected but okay we're getting right Okay we hit 250 kilowatt a little bit Now it's not dropping a little bit you Know what I feel like this car is still Dropping slower than the long range you Know the the white one Maybe I should use the white one it will Be charging faster but okay whatever the Plot is the plant it gets the views Hopefully it's okay but the consumption

Was lower than expected look at this 361 Can you see it 360 watt hour problem Roughly so I need to calculate now the Next stop which is going to be wild bike Wait just do this I forgot oh man I'm a Noob and this one is V2 but here V3 Why By not that one There okay So quick quick pit stop and then right Back but this was weird by the way so You know that at Helsinki I was getting I didn't get 200 kilowatt at 350 Kilowatts and then when I plugged in Here initially I got only 30 kilowatts So I quickly moved here and now I got 250. so I wonder if there was something Wrong with that stall attaching body Because the temperature Stuff shows that It was not supposed to get only 190 Kilowatts Um yeah that was really weird so I might Actually deduct a couple of minutes on The previous stop plus this one or some People say no no you shouldn't deduct Because this is a test default okay Whatever so maybe I will not deduct Anything but you guys can discuss in the Comment section I could have I might Have lost one minute here and then Another two minutes on the previous stop All right we're back on the road so that Was only a 10 minute uh quick top up a Nice pit stop okay I want to get past Some trucks here but you see

Um when I pass the trucks I want to go Quickly so I don't spend forever oh Is that truck right now okay I have to Go temporarily go a little bit faster To quickly pass them Yeah and of course this this car this Plot with the trailer Accelerates so freaking fast like I Haven't tried I don't dare to try all The power But yeah I found the perfect name for This combo Yeah the trade the Plaid plus trailer I should call it Trailer Swift Trailer Swift oh man love at first Sight no it was again Yeah Oh that's so stupid man [Music] Thank you We are now passing by Falcon bike and Wow look at that I don't know if you can See it on the wind turbines but we have Tailwind and look at the consumption now Whoa 333 watt hour kilometer yeah since we Are driving so slow then okay we have Wet road which increases consumption but It's not soaking wet and since we are Driving slow if you know if I was Hovering at 130 kilometers per hour here Of course then the wet Rob would affect The consumption more but that's why yeah

You can see here that that the trailer Is mostly affected by wind and outside Temperature Um you see here it's 15.5 degrees Earlier in the challenge when it was 11 Degrees and headwind then the Consumption was high but now oh yeah we Can ride on the Tailwind all the way Back right and then the rain here it Almost doesn't matter if consumption Wise Yeah Okay we are here at Volbeat and Fortunately one trailer from the stall Was available For me a guy just pulled out in time and Then I came in here and I put yeah so um It would be great if the guys who don't Really need the trailer fan installs Would use one of these ones because we Have plenty of those because this kind Of clumps with me to unwich and I'll be Losing time in this column yeah over There okay so now we need to stay here a Little bit longer than the previous one So Um we arrived with 17 or something Honestly once again let me check here Yeah we're getting oh we got 250 Initially but I think what happens is That we're going to flatten out the Charging curve so this time we cannot go The fast Hammer anymore we have to I Mean the fast uh legs so um

The next stop is going to be Hawk stop All these other ones they are not Suitable or they are too far off or they Are V2 super you see here wait oh look At but this one is a little bit far off The highway I prefer this one Hawk stop It's also in that direction So yeah now we need to calculate how Much we need but fonte Luca the Consumption is only 335 now so this is Better for the return trip [Music] [Applause] [Music] Foreign [Music] Supercharger plenty of stalls here I did Not have to unhitch So yeah we're getting 250 kilowatt or Very close yeah oh yeah oh yeah Okay next up is going to be 120 Kilometers away so you have to uh check Something here see Um 799 so at 900 we have to reset this One and then we can not in the nine well Actually one more we have to reset this One yeah I mean then we can learn Another in here because we have distance Here with decimals so okay I have to be Quick because the car charges blistering Fast so I need to charge to around 50 55 Only and then we go for the last Charging stop which is inspiria there Let me just show you here we have so

Many superchargers on this route uh but This one is only V2 yeah 150 kilowatt Next one here is a little bit detour From the highway that's to okay and then We have we have this one the solely That's also V2 and then here we have Rigia V2 uh this one is V3 but it's yeah So okay whatever yeah Man like the Driving Experience Okay I can say that yeah it's a little Bit clumsy here when you plug it in and Stuff stuff like that but once you're on The road that the driving experience in Tesla is just superb because you have These native Tesla stalls and drive Through stalls and plenty of stalls and No ladder style there was another style At the at the previous Day for the up there I own this practice Specular specular behind the other stuff But yeah So far so good yeah it seems like we Might finish in roughly 13 and a half Hour just as I expected so but now Toilet break [Music] This is it the last starting stop Getting 200 almost 250 kilos I need to Turn off HVAC So you can heat up or whatever it needs To do I'm not sure Or actually maybe it doesn't matter yeah It doesn't matter let's just keep let's Just do this and then keep climb it on

And then yeah so last stop now if you Just do home now So we have to return the trailer here At the orbital so that's 80 kilometers We have to drive 80 more kilometers all Right it's 83 kilos 99 right before we Return the trailer so I already Calculated we need to charge you roughly 35 maybe 40 around there so this is Going to be a quick turning stock so let Me show you here Branch Banking new Supercharger location plenty of stalls Yeah Plenty of trailer friendly stalls And then I remember in the old days over There I used to charge Melanie Falcon it was On the 14 charger it was for free back Then but that was it it was AC charging And then I went over to inspiria Science Center it's some kind of Science Center Stuff here so yeah I will go there and See if there's any toilet oh there is That a follower there's a follower Yeah okay anyway so far so good yeah This is not ideal you don't want to Block the the this is always interesting Um you see you don't want to block this Stall but I see the situation that we Have plenty of stores available and I'm Only sitting here for 10 minutes but Ideally what you need to do is Okay you don't want to stay here because Then the trailer pokes out too much but

You can see on each side like here what You want to do is get the trailer over And then you put the trailer on this Side and then you do notes Here For Example you know every location you just Have to consider uh the situation before You pick the the optimal spot All right we charge it for nine minutes And we are good to go we should have Over five percent at the Rival yeah We're taking only 160 kilowatts it goes Kind of slow now oh yeah okay let's go For it Okay this is the last leg now so yeah if You look at the time We had three hour nap and we had eight Hour eight minutes of some Plus uh two minutes of deduction it was A little bit The Border style down there So 10 minutes deduction we started at 22.55 so it is as if we can take the Current time and minus two hours and Five minutes that is the current time so We're 12 hours and 40 minutes roughly yeah okay let's see Then this is going to be a fast one it Will be a lot faster than eqe but how Much we will see and remember that we Are Norway now the land of the left lane Freaking left lane Huggers Oh man yeah welcome to Norway All right let's do the countdown here we Have distance once this one hits 100 Then it's one thousand

990 9991 992 9993 Oh traffic 9994 995 9996 -997 998 9999 Okay let's go over here one thousand Time Uh it was 13 hours and Actually 28 minutes wow One hour faster than the eqe wow and the Consumption was 361 watt hour per Kilometer That is some impressive All right we're back home now so what I've learned with these two 1 000 Kilometer challenges is that as long as The trailer is fairly boxy then the Weight shouldn't matter too much but it Seems like you know the this car this Plaid when you're not using trailer the Consumption is roughly uh 150 watt hour Per kilometer and then if you add the Trailer it then increases the Consumption by a fixed number which Seems to be around 210 watt hour per Kilometer and then the eqi SUV the Consumption on that one like the empty Consumption or I mean like like not with

Trailer was around 200 and then you add The trailer and it becomes over 400 watt Hour programmers everything makes sense There but one thing I would like to try Is what about if you have let's say a Boxy car a really boxy car let's say an ID bus and then you pull a boxy trailer Uh we have only around like a meter and A half of distance between the trailer And the boxy van right will then the Trailer get the drafting effect from the Van so you should try it with one of the One of the trailers we are used now and See if that increases consumption by 210 Watt hour per kilometer or will it be Lower will it be only 180 watt hour per Kilometer this is a very fun physical Experiment a real world experiment man To test it But then why was the the plant one hour Faster than the eqe SUV uh well because The base consumption was lower on the Plant and also the plot chart is faster So and I was trying to utilize this well Sometimes I had to go higher to 70 but For the most time we tried to at least Keep it only at around 40 50 and then This car shines but okay then you have To charge every 80 to 120 kilometers Most people probably not do this they Will probably maybe charge every 150 Almost 200 kilometers with this this Plant can actually do because it's so Efficient even with a big boxy trailer

It can also do that but also Um for you guys who are wondering so Yeah why didn't you try a caravan well It's a little bit more hassle to bring a Caravan but the Caravan Should be more aerodynamic and then the Carbon might be bigger but by the end of The day I think carbon should also have Similar consumption as the boxy trailer I have and then Uh yeah what about uh should you have Added weight in the trailer no I I don't Think the weight matters because you saw Today that on the way South not only With the plug but also with the eqe on The way South we had the headwind and The consumption was high and equally was 400 450 I don't remember and then today I have a plan that was over 400 but on The way back we had tailwind and Suddenly the consumption was around 50 60 70 watt hour per kilometer lower so Which means that if you have a big boxy Trailer win and also temperature by the Way will affect the consumption this is Also what I experienced when I drove my Own model X with trailer smaller trailer But the boxes trailer is that in Winter We had way higher consumption than Summer The follow-up now is which car should I Test which car can beat the plug right The eqs I parked outside here I was Actually going to drive that one this

Night but then I found out that that Equus manufacturer is called a Manufacturer It's German and it's loaded with Like good stuff man But it costs almost 2 million Nook but It doesn't have trailer hitch It's like you spent all the money on Chrome delete and you can't afford uh Dinosaur juice on your car so yeah eqs Would be a pretty good candidate it can Use supercharger it it is efficient Slick big battery charges fast flat Charging curve it is a really good Candidate that could beat the plant Another Garden that would be what about Yeah what about the Korean cars like ev6 Ionic six maybe right They have the 800 volt architecture the Achilles of those cars is that they Cannot charge on V3 superchargers so They have to you are restricted to or You should be charging on ionity but Then if I end up in the daytime I would Get a lot of style I might have to Unhitch the trailer yeah and that is Actually not something you should deduct Um so that's the Achilles heel of uh That the the Korean cards okay what About Neo Neo should be fast right Battery swap yeah well except for that If you run a batteries up you have to Unhook the trailer So that costs time to unlock the trailer

And then some places you might have to Charge also which is a bit slow for the Neo yeah and then what other cars do we Have yeah maybe the best the fastest car Is lotus electric it's not out yet Electra Can charge fast Ultra fast 300 plus Kilowatt it's not that 30 okay a little Bit thirsty but it just charges Blistering fast you can tow of course But Wait uh what was again I think it has Yeah it has a limitation on 400 volt Charges supercharger it can only take 80 Kilowatt oh so you have to go for Um uh iont but I think that's fine Electrodes has big battery so I believe That electric might be fast as well Maybe Neo what do you guys think huh Which car should I try next yeah which Car is going to be the fastest let me Know in the comments so that's gonna be It for now I hope you guys enjoyed this Video as always thank you for watching And talk to you later

Electric City Vehicles Cars Power

Electric City Vehicles Power the City

If you’re stuck in the city, driving back and forth from work or the grocery store or shuttling your kids to school, a large car may be unnecessary. A small, economical electric vehicle can provide the perfect solution, with plenty of range and a fun driving experience.

EVs offer nimble, zippy acceleration and pin-sharp handling that make them a joy to drive in tight urban environments. They also generate little to no pollution and have the potential for zero emissions if powered with renewables like wind or solar.

The big challenge is building the necessary infrastructure to support EV growth. Fortunately, public and private companies are starting to step up to the plate. For example, Uber is committing to reach 400 million EV miles driven on its platform in 2023 and will fund programs that help people switch to EVs and promote affordable charging options. Other initiatives, including those led by Blink Charging, Redwood Materials, the National Automobile Dealers Association and others, aim to bring EV production home, boost demand and supply chains, and empower consumers and communities in need.

Earthjustice is working to encourage all of these efforts through our lawsuits defending California’s Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) mandate and through the work we do with partners like the National Automobile Dealers Association, the Clean Air Council and others. These initiatives will reduce the cost of EVs, expand refueling and charging infrastructure, promote consumer education and access, and help communities benefit from a clean, safe, efficient, and equitable EV future.
