This video was brought to you by AED Ro Planner cow Marcus be stormberg and B Componente yo what's up we are now at The UL stadium and this is a super jger Well wow wait what What they have plent supercharger V3 but Okay I'm here today with idid bus and I'm going to do a degradation test so Let me show you guys first for people Who can look up Norwegians here's a License plate it could seem like it has Well some degradation at least so uh When I mentioned Branch Bing new ones They're supposed to have 74.5 KW hour This one seems to have around 72.5 we are topping up now to 100% I Tried this actually when I noticed this When I did um um Sunday driving then I Was driving quite slow so I will drive a Little bit faster now but maybe not Hammer too hard so let me See yeah so so we just waiting now for Uh the the car to finish supposedly in 3 Minutes and then the plan is to drive Let me See okay um see we are here we will just Drive north on the mway that's the Fastest way and safest way to do it uh Drive a little bit and then try to drive It down to almost zero and then we look At let me see yeah we look at since Charging but this one uh will show you The consumption but there's no there are No decimals in the distance but then if
I use go to status and then switch here Distance cover this one will have Decimals so it's a little bit clumsy and Then also they still show a white car Here even though it's a black car but Okay if you go back to this one yeah we Are 99% now so a few more minutes and Then we are ready to go all right we're Done du and if you look here 72.5 KW Hour exactly okay let's unplug and then We start Driving we have been driving for a Little bit over an hour we are now at The h m and the the consumption is 298 W Hour per kilm we are at 51% so I think it's time to turn around Yeah we'll do it over here and I can Show that uh so far yeah we Have spent half the battery you see we Have 36 KW hour left so uh we should end Up in Oso with uh almost zero then yeah And then the battery stays at uh 25 to 28° C so yeah let me turn around here this Is always interesting this this Roundabout is actually not round it's Oval and the traffic from left to right Is more frequent than that you will go Here so when you go to this Roundabout it will be a bit weird you You enter it and you go around it let me Show you here I think you can even even see it in Google it's pretty cool it has those
Cool Lights you enter here okay you feel like It's a bit sharp and then you're okay That's fine and Then you take the curve and then Suddenly whoa what the heck it's super [Laughter] Sharp okay okay let's go so yeah the car Creates an outline of uh how far we can Drive and it claims that we can make it Fine just down to Oso so okay okay let's Go for it and then yeah over here it's 60° C winter is coming yeah earlier over There was even colder 4° C at the Coldest we are passing by gura now Heading back to Oslo and uh yeah I had To slow down a bit we have 14% left Consumption is somewhat High 303 wat Hour per kilometer and the temperature Outside is 6.5 so yeah uh right now the Car estimates that we will not make it Back to Oslo or you see 36 km away and Then gum claims 34 km but I know that The Meb uh or rather the the ID software Is not good at estimating the this range Based on elevation change or it might Not take in account elevation change so We have some downhill back to arw so We'll see I'll just cruise at 100 for Now which is about 97 GPS speed so yeah And then but this one seems to be Accurate uh we have 9.9 KW hour left so Yeah I can also do the math base on that
One and figure out how far I can drive Then we are back home now with 0% 0 km left and then here also car Scanner zero wat hour left well minus What okay so we are at completely zero And then um here is the exact distance So based on this this Distance multipli By this consumption we get only 71.8 KW not 72.5 but that's probably Because I was driving a little bit Faster so I can assume that if we Actually cruise at 90 we will get Roughly 72.5 that I got during the Sunday Driving but why did I do this driving Test I couldn't look at the car scanner And then uh figure out what the kilowatt Hour was well I just want to confirm it Because I've seen some uh differences Between what car scan claims versus what You can actually get out of the battery According to the trip meter and also in Tesla uh Tesla with many times uh that's A different app by the way that's car Scanner this is car scanner Tesla is Scan Tesla uh Tesla will usually uh Supply you the the nominal or whatever Kilowatt hour that you can usually get From uh let's say 100% but then if you Do that actual driving test you will see That you get less of that and usually Around 1 Kow hour is lost and that is Heat here it seems like car scanner Takes in account that heat loss and
Actually displays more realistic uh what Hour they can get out of it but okay so 72.5 KW hour versus 74 that I would get In a a newer car uh that's 2 KW hour Lost and that is 2.7% degradation after just 10,000 kilm So what what I tested now after many Degradation test across many different Brands Tesla Hundai and yeah Kia Whatever you have you see list lots of Cars it could seem like age doesn't Matter that much it's actually kilometer Or which translate into number of Charting cycles that matters more and Also it could also seem like the rate of Fast charging could also Mak thing worse So yeah um but still 2.7% uh maybe we should try to find an MB car for example 93 they tend to be a Little bit old now with some kilometers Let's say 100,000 km and then we see how Many kilowatt hour we get or how much Degradation we get out of it and by the Way if you guys are wondering wait but This is the 77 KW hour or the 82 KW hour Battery isn't it yeah true 82 KW hour is The gross capacity 77 KW hour is the net Capacity but that must be some nominal Net capacity not what you can actually Get out of it because I've never ever Been able to get 77 Kow hour from these Batteries and the same for other cars Also it depends which one it is but uh Yeah for example the smaller battery the
62 KW hour that one supposed to have 58 KW hour net capacity but I can only get Roughly 56 I think it was so it could be That those 2 KW hour is just losses heat Loss when you discharge it but okay so Yeah um eventually I should try to get Another car ID3 for example and then We'll see how much degradation we have And then maybe I can ask you guys have You guys done some degradation test of ID3 or maybe id4 yeah they tend to get a Little bit old now and how much was it Did you use a v or something or did you Use my method or how did you do it but Uh you can't just look at claim Kilometers here you have to actually Measure the kilowatt hour similar to What I did now and then you also need to Know how many kilowatt hour you had Initially when the battery was branched Back in new you can't just look at the Claim kilowatt hour according to the Spec sheet because if you do that you Will actually I mean it will appear like You have way higher degradation than you Initially had but anyway I think that's Going to be it for now I hope you guys Enjoyed this video as always thank you For watching and talk to you Later

Cars Powered by Electricity Free You From Dependence on Fossil Fuels
Electric City Vehicles
Cars powered by electricity free you from dependence on fossil fuels. They are quiet, dependable, and easy to use. You can charge them at home or at public charging stations and most go about 80 miles on a single charge.
EVs are great for urban driving with instant torque and lots of technology built in to make it easier to navigate city streets. They also offer a smooth, comfortable ride on longer trips at higher speeds.
Electric vehicles are a popular choice in Seattle because of our clean, affordable electricity and the convenience of charging at home or at public charging stations. However, we must remember that generating electricity produces greenhouse gases as well, so the overall emissions rate will not be completely eliminated if most cars become EVs.
Dealers generally chafe at OEM requirements that intrude on how they buy and sell cars to their customers. This includes the way consumers reserve EVs and how dealers trade-in and service them. And, as legacy automakers release more EVs, they are making demands on their dealers that they wouldn’t have made in the past.
Those requests include the ability to make more than one reservation for an electric vehicle and the right to sell a new EV model at the dealership even before it goes on sale. Dealerships need to be able to manage their inventory to serve their customers and protect their profitability. And they must provide a full range of services to their EV customers, including education, financing, and repairs.
