first affordable solarpowered electric vehicle Sono Motors Sion

The Sono Motors Sion is the world’s first affordable solar-powered electric vehicle. It has 456 solar panels and a range of up to 190 miles. It is expected to be available in Europe in 2023. Its exterior is fairly boxy, but the interior is surprisingly functional, thanks to eight and 10-inch screens and illuminated green moss.

Sono Motors Sion is the first affordable solar-powered electric vehicle

The company’s Sion is a solar-powered electric vehicle that runs on lithium-ion phosphate batteries and has a range of 190 miles. The batteries are made by Chinese electric car and battery giant BYD. The car is produced under a contract between Sono and Finnish automotive supplier Valmet Automotive. The company plans to make 257,000 Sion cars by 2030 and plans to sell them for about $25,000 each.

The interior of the Sion is a minimalistic affair, with a basic black steering wheel and black polyester seats. There is a digital display, but there are no flashy logos or trims. The vehicle comes only in black. The car has enough head and leg room to comfortably seat three adults, with a trunk large enough for a typical family outing.

It has 456 solar panels

The Sono Motors Sion is an electric car that features four hundred and fifty-six solar panels. Its battery is 54 kWh and the Sion can go up to 305 miles on a single charge. The Sion also has 75kW fast charging and 11kW AC charging. It has 456 solar panels and will cost EUR29900 or about $A44,000 after conversion.

The Sion’s 456 photovoltaic half cells will seamlessly integrate into its exterior surfaces. The panels will help extend the Sion’s driving range by 112 kilometers a week – a range of two hundred and fifty miles – depending on the weather. The Sion’s solar panels will also allow users to charge the car four times faster than the average conventional electric vehicle with a similar battery capacity.

It has a 190-mile range

The Sion electric car uses a 54-kWh lithium-iron phosphate battery made by BYD. The company says that this battery can extend the car’s range by 70 miles on average, and up to 152 miles during optimal weather. It also has the capacity to serve as a mobile power bank and external home energy storage system. The Sion’s solar cells can discharge up to 11 kw of power.

The Sion’s official WLTP range is 190 miles. But this figure does not take into account the extra range that the solar cells can generate. A 163-bhp motor propels the Sion from 0 to 62 mph in 9.0 seconds and reaches a top speed of 87 mph. The Sion will be built by the contract manufacturer Valmet, which also builds Mercedes’ A-Class and Fisker’s GLC-Class electric car.

It will be available in Europe in 2023

The Sono Motors Sion electric vehicle will be available in 24 European countries for around $25,000. Its engine produces 168 horsepower and can reach speeds of 87 mph. Production will begin in Finland in 2023. The company plans to sell the car as a fleet vehicle, but it is not yet clear whether it will be offered for retail sale.

The Sion will be powered by a 54 kWh battery pack and has solar cells integrated into the bodywork. This battery pack will add about 112km per week (70 miles) of range, depending on the driving conditions. It can also be recharged with 75 kW at a fast charging station. It also has a 11 kW bidirectional onboard charger. It is expected to cost about 25,125 euros (or $A44,000) when it arrives in Europe.

It will be sold direct to consumers

The Sion is currently available for pre-order across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The company plans to make the car available outside of Europe in the future. However, it has not specified a time frame for that. If you are interested in purchasing a Sion, you can pre-order it now through its website.

The Sion is made from an aluminum frame. It is 100 percent recyclable. It seats five adults and comes with connectivity features. It will also be sold direct to consumers. The company behind the car has partnered with Sibros, which specializes in deeply connected software and over-the-air updates.

The Sion is expected to cost around $30,000, and the company plans to deliver the car to consumers by 2023. As of November 5, 2021, more than 1800 reservations have been made. The company has raised about $118 million and plans to build 257,000 cars in seven years. The Sion is a cheaper alternative to the Tesla Model 3, which starts at $38,690 after multiple price hikes this year. The Ford Mustang Mach-E, on the other hand, starts at $44,000. Sono Motors also increased the price of the Sion by a few hundred euros to cover increased production costs.
