This video was brought to you by Marcus Be elmech a planner Stone B Camp power And B component yo what's up in this Video I'm going to take a look at the Charging curve of the BMV I5 M60 it has Almost the same battery as the I4 know around 84 KW hour but it's Slightly bigger and then it seems like It charges uh yet different so I'll show You now so you see that um we start off With 200 KW just like the I4 and I also Include some Model S here because they Are similar price and then also eqe Because yeah again similar price but you See that um it doesn't go that flat so It started throttling a little bit Around 20% already well actually even Before that time so almost feel like It's not as flat as the I4 so yeah and Then uh Model S uh in comparison you see That very nice and flat curve until Around 30% then it should throttle and Then eqe well eqe doesn't charge that Fast but it has a flat curves so that's The way Mercedes wants to roll and then Go back to I4 you see that the I4 sorry I5 sorry I5 you see that the I5 seems to Be charging slower than the I4 hm yeah This is a bit strange uh you would Expect that newer cars will charge Faster but okay not but also I heard it In the press release that uh the I5 has A more like more even charting curve not So step step and I'll show you soon when

Beaten by the eqe for now and then um Well wait mless and I4 they are pretty Much neck on neck right now wow very Impressive the I4 and then what about The I5 then I5 is now on the last oh oh huh really this is actually what What I experienced that when I did the 1,000 K Challenge it wasn't that that Nice and flat curve anymore and another Thing I should mention by the ways the I5 also suffers from the throttling you Know like U like Toyota B set 4X Throttling just the like the I4 after You charge fast charge a lot with the I4 It will start throttling and then you Don't get 100 uh you don't get 200 Kilowatt anymore you get only 100 Kilowatt for a while um the I5 same There oh actually I haven't tested it But there was a message saying that I Will get throttling uh for the next 2 Days but they actually lasted only one Day seems like or roughly 24 hours all Right let me see let me see how it's Cooking now what what the heck man look At that this is quite even man Model S And I4 they are pretty much neck neck And EQ is right behind it but the EQ is Charting faster than the other ones but Then the I5 seems to have um started Some kind of comeback here no now the Other cars are charging slower but the I5 still has okay speed wa wait no the Comback didn't start here it's coming
Later yeah but wait wait M car is going To hit 100% first it's going to be I4 is Going to be m s wow it seems like the I4 Is going to hit 100 90% first right Before Model S wow that is going to be Some there wow that is Epic Man huh so The I4 was the fastest 9% and then mod s Is right behind but EQ is also right Behind which m s is second and then EQ Is going to be third but the I5 is right Behind it all right but I stopped the I4 At 90% but we're going to go for 100% on Some of these cars you can see now how Fast they charge past 90% but let start Charging kind of slow and this is also 100 Kow hours the C rating is quite low But the I5 can maintain okay speed even Past 90% And then EQ oh even now the EQ Is also going a little bit slower wow Look at that the I5 now has a nice Comeback that was the comeback I was Talking about is the B es going to be Beaten by the I5 to 100% well we will See soon eqe seems to have throttled to The point where goes really slow same With mest the both the two cars in the Bottom they have now lost its Edge and Right now it seems like maybe the I5 is On the in the lead yes it is in the lead 96% holy macaroni is the I going to take At least the the win to 100% here well Let's find out it has a really nice and Flat curve flattish curve relatively Flat compared to the other ones you see

Germans and then but here you see that The red line that's the I5 and you see That it has now a very nice and genten Curve just like Tesla just like eqe also Like the m&b cars but for example uh if You seen uh the Korean cars they tend to Have this zigzag zigzag Zig but also the I4 used to have it before but now it has A more even uh curve at least but you See that the red curve or the new curve Is lower so the I5 is Turing slower than The I4 that's what we can see here yeah Okay towards the very end but who cares About what the heck is going on past 90% It has already lost right to the I4 but Maybe the Germans they found out that This higher flat the curve here is Killing the battery I'm not sure about That what about the eqe then Uh yeah but think about this okay so uh Both the I4 and I5 the the blue and the Red line here this is what you can get After I mean you can get this until you Charge roughly 250 300 KW hour then it Throttles to half then it's it should be Down here somewhere way slower than the Other ones eqe I think eqe I'm not sure About this one but you know eqs has this Eco charging feature I don't remember What it's called which also throttles Quite a lot to p i mean to conserve the Battery uh I'm not sure if the eqe has It or at least eqs has it Tesla doesn't Have any of those features it will just
