This video was brought to you by Marcus Be elmech a planner Stone b c power and B Component Yo what's up in this video I'm going to Show you guys how blistering fast the New Hyundai K Cora is charging but Before before we start bonus question Which car are we sitting in right now H It's a nice car yeah I like it okay Anyway um you see that in the beginning Now uh Kaa gets only 90 kilow it's it's Advertised to have 100 kilowatt uh but Okay you see that the number of amp Seems to be caed at 230 and then as the Voltage Rises then we get uh more and More speed and also I like the voltage You see that even at low low state chart We have 400 volt oh I compar that the Eso because I did have any good Recording of the old K but they have the Same battery anyway and then most Include model y because believe it or Not model y cost the same as cona in Many countries U around Europe and then Also you include Audia Audia is actually Charting pretty fast but M wild of Course chared like a boss and uh you Will see uh well which car is leading Right now okay m is leading right um Well okay what uh what about and audio Is second place what what the heck man And then uh the new is on third place List okay so the iso uh the old one is

The slowest onal right now um you will Also notice that I also include the Battery temperature here yeah it was um Not that hot in the battery but it seems Like it doesn't matter Kaa charges I Mean new Kaa charges pretty fast even When it's only at 10° C when I tested it So that's good that it shouldn't be too Much cold gate then but okay So Eventually we will almost hit 100 Kow on Cora not much going on there uh model Y Is already at 63% wow just compare the Model Y versus the ISO you know why Char Is way faster we're comparing new alien Technology versus old Korean technology Here so of course not fair but just That's Al actually a point that um the The EV development has been going Forward uh quite a lot AA is uh on a Good uh second still wow um what the Tesla I just realized the Tesla is so Far ahead this is insane how far the Charg is already at 75% or 76% now and The other cars they are way way way Behind but this is the Tesla Tech in a Nutshell isn't it ha is going to hit be I like your videos but comparing Apple To Apple they are not the same battery Size well they are the same price at Least and the same and model y has Better efficiency uhuh what do you say About that okay uh not much to say but There finally we hit 100% 100 Kow on the New Kaa but then it's about to throttle

But look at this we have nice and flat Charing curve until 62% and then it Throttles this is simply amazing and but You see even when it throttles even as a Throttle power it's still faster than The eso charge before well actually ESO Kind of yeah a little bit misleading Here the eso shows you what is pulled From the charger whereas in car scanner The one in Kona is actually what goes Into the battery and by the way the Other screens also ion the screen also Shows you what the I screens deliver but What goes into the battery is different Story usually a little bit Lower but okay and now at 70% it starts Going a little bit slower so uh but you See that the new Corner chares way Faster than the old corner which is Basically sold but you know you get the Point right model y already hit 90% what The heck Tesla won Tesla won to 90% okay um well Tesla is going for 100% Whereas the other one hasn't hasn't even Hit 90% yet oh okay um all right But then uh towards the end you will see That the corner starts going slower and Slower but it's still quite decent I Mean this is still way faster than Before and you see the battery Temperature is also not going too crazy AA uh W okay a is on the still a pretty Good second OKAY model Y is about to hit 99% it goes very fast 99% model y but we

Shouldn't Focus too much on Tesla we Should focus more on Kaa right now and Okay towards the end as with every Battery it needs to go a little bit Slower but you will see soon that even The Kona even this one has the Korean Siesta I'm not sure about that one I Include Also the battery temperature to See if there's any I don't know Overheating going on but the batteries Are not batteries are not overheated uh Some people say it's doing some kind of Recalibration well is this the time to Do recalibration how about doing Recalibration when you're not charging So this is very clumsy because now it's Just stalling there whereas the other Cars are charging yeah okay Tesla hit 99% is basically 100% uh when you're Taking 3 kilowatt then no big deal you Know you're just getting another 100 wat Hours or who cares look at there okay Cora started charging again so this Happens with every Korean car we've seen Lately I don't know what's up with that Uh maybe they wanted you pluged then Okay but wow but AIO still okay a still Charges pretty fast wait is a going to Win over Tesla here huh what the heck It's like the rabbit and the turtle oh Model y was slacking and then Arya is Coming in fast 23 Kow Tesla taking only 1 kilow takes working forever to hit 100% man seems like a is going to win

Over Tesla oh oh what about Kona okay See that Kona okay I remember the old Corner uh past 80% you will get only 22 Kow at least here we get 25 Kow so That's that's not too bad there okay Tesla actually Won yeah it's it looks a bit weird oh uh yeah but Tesla won to 100% it Stopped there but it was actually Stopped charting and then ARA is still Almost done and then ESO is kind of Getting there and then cona yeah so um Right now not much going on we're just Waiting for the cars to finish maybe oh I see that in my recording it's Going to take a little while but um Maybe we could just end it here um it's Not too interesting to see what's going To happen towards the end now uh except For that uh yeah yeah so Um okay there come on come on come on uh We're not going to sit and wait until Esol finish charging that's going to Take too too long but just show you that Cora eventually hits 90% And there okay And then I also went past 90% uh since Um how was this again yeah I was so Tired I I fell asleep while charting Session was going so then we also also Went past it but I just want to show you Guys that actually with the new corner You can actually go past 90% even I Don't remember how it was with the old Corner but um you see here that mean

Okay I mean 25 Kow is not blistering Fast but if you're having dinner or Something and you spend over 1 hour Charging uh it seems like there is no Problem going even to 100% of course Once it once the speed drops below 10 Kilow then that becomes so slow that uh Yeah it's kind of pointless but but yeah I mean we can always I can I can mention It that I mean what is the minimum Threshold for when you want to charge I Mean or how slow uh doesn't have to be Until you feel like you need to unplug And go to the next one well um in my Opinion faster than 20 kilowatt is good But uh yeah if I have to go to Norman's Land then maybe even 18 kilow is good Enough so here we can look at the Ching Curve instead you see that the model Y Is the fastest uh pretty much twice as Fast as the other one uh and then uh Audio is here okay uh so we include the Fastest ones here in the same class Price class whatever right uh and then At least Kaa is not the slowest anymore It was one of the slowest in the past You see just how slow uh Soul was or the Old Cora so at least the new one is well It depends how you see it um it could Kind of match AA but AIO had a really Nice Head Start uh so but then you can Say well but Kaa has better efficiency So maybe in a 1,000 km challenge they Would be roughly the same well yeah it

Depends but uh um yeah I think actually In 1,000 K Challenge the time was Roughly the same so you see that's like A practical example by the end of the Day uh it's not only about kilowatt Kilowatt hour it's also about how many Kilometers or I mean we also take have To take in account the efficiency of the Car but now you guys seen it that the New Kona charges a lot faster than Before uh but I still feel like it's Barely hanging in there compared to the Other one you can I mean instead of Buying this corner why don't you buy the Rail whe Drive uh ev6 instead or ionic 5 I know they should also cost about the Same right but then you have the new 800 Volt hyped up technology which is way Better okay anyway I think that's going To be it for now I hope you guys enjoy This video as always thank thank you for Watching and talk to you Later

Electric Vehicles Powering the Power Grid

EVs are bringing clean, affordable transportation within reach of many communities. But just as important as the environmental benefits of EVs, they’re providing opportunities for communities to save money on electricity costs with two-way “vehicle-to-grid” charging strategies.

With a lower center of gravity thanks to their battery pack, EVs can often boast more cargo and passenger room than vehicles with a traditional internal combustion engine (ICE). The Taycan, for example, offers 246 miles of EPA-rated range in its GTS guise—and the base model nets 79 MPGe city and 88 MPGe highway.

As electric cars become more common, community leaders are taking action to address issues surrounding recharging. Some are increasing the availability of public charging stations, especially at shopping centers and parking garages. Others are making it easier for renters to buy an EV by adding chargers to workplaces and apartment complexes. Some communities are even converting their entire fleets of school buses to all-electric, creating opportunities for significant energy savings through peak-saving “vehicle-to-grid” charging.

Of course, ensuring that the grid can handle these additional demands on the power system will also be essential. To help, this series will explore ways to improve the sustainability of America’s electrical infrastructure—including its capacity for EVs and other future clean energy technologies. This will be accomplished by enabling more people to drive EVs, by encouraging a more energy-efficient use of these vehicles and by leveraging the potential for EVs to provide new revenue streams to local utilities.
