Among the new electric vehicles coming out in 2023, GM is poised to steal the spotlight. The company is currently developing the second-generation Roadster, and is also announcing a partnership with Nissan to build an EV. We’ll also look at the Kia EV6 and Cadillac’s Celestiq.
Tesla’s second-gen Roadster
Tesla’s second-generation Roadster is an all-electric sports car with a 620-mile range and the ability to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 1.9 seconds. This vehicle is also one of the fastest production cars on the market. The Roadster has been named after the cult ’80s movie Spaceballs. Pricing for the car is expected to start at $200,000, with a $50,000 booking fee.
The interior of the new Tesla Roadster is typically minimalist, with aircraft-style yoke-style steering. The vehicle also has four seats and a removable glass roof that folds down into the trunk. Although the rear seat isn’t a comfortable fit for adults, the cabin of the Roadster is expected to be minimalist.
Nissan’s Ariya
The battery pack in Nissan’s Ariya electric vehicle 2023 is flat, with a cross-member integrated into the battery case. This allows for a flat floor and impressive structural rigidity. The suspension system, which includes an independent rear suspension system, is also optimized for flatness to enhance handling, suppress cabin noise, and optimize ride comfort. A rear electric motor also helps provide a more linear and balanced balance of ride comfort and handling.
The new Nissan Ariya electric vehicle is built on a completely redesigned electric platform. The company took lessons from the LEAF’s design and developed a platform that is much more powerful and efficient. The 2023 Nissan Ariya will be available in both FWD and AWD versions and will be available in single and dual motor setups. The dual motor option will increase horsepower and torque by distributing torque from the front to rear axles.
Cadillac’s Celestiq
Cadillac’s Celestiq electric vehicle is a high-performance electric vehicle with an impressive 111 kWh battery pack and a 600-horsepower electric drive system. The car will reach 60 mph in 3.8 seconds, according to the automaker. The battery pack is made from Ultium material, which helps to reduce the body’s profile while providing ample power. It will also support DC fast charging, which has a 200-kW peak capacity.
Cadillac has a long history of designing luxurious and powerful vehicles. During the golden era of the brand, the luxury car was synonymous with high technology, a luxurious interior, and technologically advanced creature comforts. All of this was wrapped up in a stunning exterior design. While some looked down on these cars, they were a standard for the world. The company put Cadillac at the top of its multi-brand lineup for a reason.
Kia EV6
The Kia EV6 electric vehicle is expected to hit the market in the fourth quarter of this year and will have an estimated range of 206 miles. It will have a single motor, but dual motors are also available. It will have exclusive 21-inch alloy wheels and neon brake calipers. It will also come with a cool rear diffuser. The price of the 2023 Kia EV6 GT is not yet known, but it is expected to be above $60,000. The 2023 Kia EV6 GT will be sold in the U.S. for over $60K, and will be available in showrooms by the fourth quarter of this year.
The Kia EV6 is available in RWD and AWD configurations in North America. The 2023 EV6 will feature the same powertrain and battery pack as the current model. Its wheelbase is the same as that of the Telluride, and it offers 103 cubic feet of passenger space. Its ground clearance is nearly the same as that of the Tesla Model Y.
Ford’s F-150 Lightning
The F-150 Lightning is an electric vehicle that can run on electricity. Ford will offer the electric vehicle to private and business customers. Its entry-level model will cost just under $60,000, with the Lightning Pro starting at $51,974. That’s not a big price tag, but it’s certainly not cheap compared to the average price of a full-size pickup.
The F-150 Lightning is equipped with the Pro Power Onboard system that allows it to use household power when it’s not plugged into the wall. This allows the user to plug in work equipment and tools, as well as lights. It also offers a 240-volt power outlet.
